My daughter 12 yrs old at the time was spending a summer with me and I asked her to come see Joan monologue on the tonight show, Joan's joke was as she was explaining her outfit, suit by Oscar de la Renta, body by Oscar Mayer, the self deprecating humor bust my daughter out into laughter. It really made for fun late night. Thanx Joan for giving us laughter.
She could deliver monologues like this....on FIRE...but then her interviews were EXCEPTIONAL and she was attentive, respectful, adding in comedy when appropriate. Skilled and a consummate television personality.
