Shit he was better than both of them bruh he came in the league a killer on the court had the post game, assists, steals and dunking on everybody with freakish bounce off the floor with an incredible array of moves Penny was the truth
@@Bruhda1 facts lol it doesnt change the fact that he was better...i dont care about resumes if you was nice on that court thats all that matters...penny is top 10 nicest
😂😂😂😂, LeBron isn't as good as Kobe was. Hahaha 😂😅. Jordan was better than all of them. But Penny was something very special. He could have won a ring if he wasn't Injury prone. Penny gave MJ a hard time. He was incredible.
'' Coach Penny, my now 33 and a half daughter was 7 when this game came on! i remember , i was so excited to see you play! ''You were Fine as heck then and Fine as heck Now! I love you! Always will!So Awesome!
The last time we saw penny still had that explosiveness with him. He got his keen injury again at the first round collied with David Robinson. He had another surgery after the playoffs and his career was considered done at that time.
Penny was a good defensive player. I watched the video twice. Too bad about his kneed. Here, Penny was everywhere. Diving for balls, 9 boards, 2 blocks.
1:36 the step back everyone is doing now...he was ahead of his time 2:38 and 2:31 are hang dribble which he started by the way he doesnt get enough credit for the impact he has on todays game
Nice to see Bruce Bowen in a suit as reserve player for the Heat (see start of video). Injury, oh injury. In that brief, short moment, moreso in the Playoffs, Penny probably showcased what he can do should injury-free in post-Shaq era. How I wish he pulled another 40-point performance in g5 en route to a huge upset.
His career didn't end prematurely. His stardom did. He played well into his 30s and had a few good years with the suns in the early 00s but the injuries killed his stardom.
Still should be in the Hof cause he did more in his few years healthy than alot of guys that are in the Hall of Fame shit crazy Penny skillset was like both Magic and MJ he was a beast
He didn't drop off all that much for another few years. However, Injuries but other factors were involved. He was moved to SG from PG after this season and he was actually still pretty effective when he did play for another 4-5 years just not a superstar. He missed 3/4 of the next season then played the entire lockout year and 3/4 of the 2000 season. He then got severely injured 4 games into the 2001 season and that was all she wrote. He started coming off the bench after that along with being a secondary scoring option in Phoenix. The injuries and reduction in his shooting effectiveness the rest of his career relegated him to the bench.
I still believe if Penny didn’t get injured, he’ll be on the list level of Kobe, Lebron!

@@bobdavis3357 Yes indeed Penny was special hate injuries derailed his career could never stay healthy after his I think 5th year in the league.

My childhood teams l, literally lived right down the street
Vintage Penny in the Foamposite.
Penny was also solid in the 2000 series against the Lakers

Back when 41 points had to be earned.
@@boigenius1542 Today, a young and healthy Penny would drop 70 on these weak defenders.
3:03 iconic
That is the business
He had back to back 40 point games in Games 3 and 4
Against a great defensive team
Penny's final days in peak form before he really started having serious knee problems in 97-98.
Knee injury in Detroit game he was never same after that
Put This Game On NBA TV Hardwood Classic On TV
Man I love watching Penny, still my fav all time

Only time we got a Miami/Orlando playoff series
If Shaq stayed in Orlando, there would be more meetings between them
Signature Penny performance, signature Penny maneuver @ 2:46
prime penny...have both of these games on dvd...classics
1:36 the step back everyone is doing now...he was ahead of his time 2:38 and 2:31 are hang dribble which he started by the way he doesnt get enough credit for the impact he has on todays game
@2:48 I practice that move for hours when I was 13 😂
He’d be top 25ish with full healthy career the numbers would just be undeniably there
I remember this game
Penny was so smooth, once he got into a groove he looked like he could do it for 12 hours on the spin
Doc Rivers called it the washing machine move
@@annie20232if penny had stayed in orlando, the next head coach would be doc rivers.
@@aryu0105 Then TMac would not come to Orlando
@@annie20232 who knows ? Maybe penny with tmac instead of grant hill
@@aryu0105 it's plausible. T-mac worshipped penny as his favorite player.
This guy would have wona couple of rings for Orlando if he stayed healthy.

He’d be a top 75 player if he didn’t get hurt.
I agree bro top 75 easy
Way higher
Great player, It was great to watch him. It's a pity he had to end his career prematurely. He had a great team at Magic at the time.

Those blue Foamposites were so 🔥 🔥 🔥
Those are AP IIIs not Foamposites.
DOPE!!!!
Penny could’ve been in the Hall Of Fame if it weren’t for injuries.

Penny was Kobe before Kobe - shaq
💪🏻👍🏻💪🏻
Penny
I think Penny got hurt a lot from doing the majority of the work. Ever since they let Shaq walk.
After Shaq left in 1996 the Orlando Magic didn’t win another playoff series until 2008.
90s were plummers and they couldnt shoot 3's off the dribble right? this was just a catch and shoot era that couldnt dribble right?
i assume penny hardaway dropped off so much over the next few years after this because of injuries?
