The organist has always been apart of the game and actually adds to the ambience in giving their home team a certain identity of style of music. And I'm a fan of the old style arena sounds not today where hip-hop don't make me enthusiastic about a home team scoring and trust me I'm a DJ so I know and love hip-hop but the old generation of music was much better
Anyone notice how sweet it was to hear no music and actually hear the enthusiasm of the crowd.
agreed! all you need is the crowd and an organist or somebody who plays soundbytes of an organ.
@@nader91I actually think you might also be able to do without the organ.
In Boston we don't do that music nonsense. But the organ is definitely part of the game. TD Garden & MSG wouldn't be the same without it!

@@29mailliw I’m also a DJ - hip hop and house, but never in the same set. Never the less, no DJ during a game is 100% better.
Notice how this game shows low post scoring, slashing, mid range, post up, high energy defense, and team basketball. I love this game.
The highest scoring game in NBA Playoff history
The NBA was so live back then.
Yes indeed. I miss this era.
For the 1992 playoff Portland was the #1 seed and Phoenix was the #4, it was an exact reversal in 1993.
Many thought there’d be a rematch
But The Admiral had other ideas
Barkley made the difference next year
@@seveneleve7-11 Danny Ainge wasn't too bad for the Suns either
I miss those Suns “Family Feud” font unis.
Terry Porter was cooking up until the Finals in 92.
In his first 15 playoff games of 1992, Porter averaged 23.5 points/7.5 assists on 53 percent shooting and 52 percent from 3 pointers
He was balling in the West Finals versus the Jazz
Yup then he choked in the finals but Portland was known for choking
@@melvynsngltn27 to be fair Mel....Portland did lose in the Finals twice to 2 teams who were better than them.
The final game at the Suns original arena
What a game. Holy Smokes!
Put This Game On NBA TV Hardwood Classic On TV
Two series before the finals of the Blazers going up against the Bulls?
Ed Nealy 🙌!!

Had Dan's shot would have been in, it's a 2-2 tie.
Today's NBA is nearly unwatchable. No defense, all 3s, wide open lane. Awful. I miss real basketball where every aspect existed.
Jeff was hot he should've took last shot
11:00 now I can see why Chicago was smacking the west in the first 3-peat these west teams were all offense and barely any defense
They were cooking because NBA wanted Jordan to win.
Portland was a very good defensive team. Kersey, Robinson, Williams, drexler.
