    Thank you so much. I found you from your interview with Dr. Berg. I’ve had SIBO twice; I have lost 70 pounds, have 30 to go. I’m so stuck. I’m 67. Can’t wait to do your protocol. Bought your book, the yogurt maker and all the stuff. Thanks!🙏

    Mine was 10.3 when I was diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year, then it dropped to 6.8, then 6.7 with diet and lifestyle changes. I told my Doc that I wanted to get down to 5.6 or better which he thought was very ambitious. It might take a while but I will get there as I also lose weight. Lunch today was steak, mushrooms, and onions cooked in butter.

    Dr. Paul Mason says that for people on a low carb diet, the A1C reading is often higher than what the value really is because the blood cells turn over more slowly. Would like Dr. Davis to comment on this.

So I hope to drop my A1c 1% point over the next 90 days. Stay tuned. I keep listening to you and the truths you pound down into my brain are slowing changing me. Thank you Dr. Davis.

    Benfotiamine ( a synthetic vit. B1) may reduce glycation. Ceylon cinnamon 1/2 -1 teaspoon daily sprinkled on anything and Chromium capsules may improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood glucose. Ive been taking for 5 years and even with pretty high sugar consumption reduced my fasting glucose below 100, fasting insulin below 3, and A1C to 5.1. All 3 are inexpensive.( dont use saigon or vietnamese cinnamon due to high coumarin content which is hepatotoxic.)

    After 5 years on carnivore diet my lab test A1c was 5.2 and Free Blood Sugar 93.7. Calculated A1c=(46.7+FBS)/28.7 gives A1c=4.89. Why the difference? Also, the average lifespan of red blood cells is, as you’ve mentioned is 90 days. However it is known that their lifespan can be substantially longer on low carbohydrate diet. However would you account for that?
    What can I do now when I eat only beef, eggs and bacon, to lower my latest A1c of 5.6?

    • @lemunbalm3731
      @lemunbalm3731 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don’t worry about it. Your red blood cells are living longer and are simply being glycated more because they are hanging around longer. They should have a higher normal range for low carb folks.

My goal is to continue to lower the A1c . I never eat fructose or carbs and I use a CGM. IT'S NORMAL to have a rise in blood sugar after eating but shouldnt be more than 30mg/dl, hang out no longer than 2 hours up to 4 hours before returning to baseline.
