Thank you Dr berry. I was diagnosed type 2 uncontrolled diabetic 90 days ago exact…switched to a ketogenic lifestyle with time restricted eating … 90 days later reversed my fatty liver, halfed triglycerides, lost 50lbs and rocking a 5.3 A1C thank you sir for helping save my life
Congratulations 👏 I also reversed my T2D with healthy keto and intermittent fasting lifestyle. Got off 2000mg of Metformin in three weeks and my A1C to 5.1 in three months. My highest A1C was 13.9. So many health benefits.
I have been on metformin since 2006. In March my A1C was 6.1. My doctor told me to eat low carb. That’s when I found your videos. A couple of weeks ago my doctor checked my blood and my A1C was 5.3. I was able to come off of metformin and another med. My doctor said “whatever you’re doing, don’t change a thing.” Thanks for your help!
Started Dr. Berry’s Proper Human Diet at the end of January 2023. My A1C was 6.1. Checked it again today and it is 5.4! I’ve lost 21 lbs. Blood sugar is averaging 100. I stopped my insulin because my blood sugar was dropping too low; low 70’s - Yikes! Stopped the insulin and it has returned to a good number. Thank you Dr. Berry.
I’ve been a type 1 diabetic since 1970. For years my A1c was high, then I reduced my carbohydrate consumption. Then it eventually dropped to under 7.0. With care it was around 6.3 mostly. Going carnivore and paying more attention to my blood glucose levels (spurred on by my doctor, someone Dr. Berry probably knows well) has recently reduced it to 4.9 typically. Not sure I can keep that up, but it’s been around that level for most of a year.
Keeping your protein intake to 4-6oz per meal will help with satiating you. With healthy keto and intermittent fasting lifestyle, I don't feel hungry or have cravings.
Mark what were your insulin levels when high, at 7.0 A1c, and now at 4.9? Asking for a friend that is T1 and just had bladder removed because of cancer. Would love to get him on keto/carnivore to help numbers and kill off any remaining cancer cells. Actually have you ever done a water fast for 3+ days? Us fatties w T2 can do it. Just wonder if any T1s have tried fasting
@@thelogician1934 No one needs to "take sugar." There's no such thing as an essential carb. And name-calling is the last bastion of the intellectually bankrupt.
I couldn’t lose weight or get my A1c below 7! A year ago I started eating carnivore with IF. A year later I am 50 lbs. lighter, all my numbers are normal and my A1c is 5.5! Nothing else worked for me! I got so much information from your videos! Thanks!
Great progress --if you eat only steamed green leafy vegetables 100 calorie protein shakes and fatty meats you will probably have a testable morning fasting mg/dl of about 97 to 105 after three days which equals Aprox a 5.4 or 5.5 A1C Boil fresh leafy spinach for 4 minutes, drain, add lots of butter, salt and pepper and some fresh lemon juice--drain in a spinner and eat with 5 or 6 slices of bacon--serve with fresh lemonade sweetened with trivia-it’s a great breakfast and wil push your A1C off a cliff ! !
@@JuliaHarrisx Intermittent fasting helped me get mine down and keto/low carb...more protein/fat less carbs but some carbs though☕...went from 8.2 to 6.5 in four months and I watched the sugar alcohols. Hope this helps💌
I stayed on the no sugar an virtually no carb diet for four months (124 days). My H1c dropped from 5.9 (pre diabetes) to 5.2 (normal). It is an awful diet (no bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, pizza, desserts, soups with any of the prior ingredients, or fruits. Yet, it did work for me. I hated every minute but it kicks ass.
I'm 23 and had a 15.3 A1C. My doctor was surprised I wasn't in a coma. After hearing I was T2 Diabetic I quickly changed my eating habits and in 2 months I lost 80 lbs and dropped my A1C down to 6.
I use the at home AIC tests last was 4.9. I was diabetic and on meds 4 years ago the keto diet saved my life. Thank you Dr. Berry and Dr. Jason Fung for making my life so much better.
@@madtruckamax3341 eating out is tough. The only carbs I get are from nuts, leafy greens, and assorted non processed foods. Just cook up stuff you like. I combine things I never conceived of before like butter in coffee, canned fish in scrambled eggs, more eggs, bacon and fatty beef. Throw out packaged things with sugar and corn syrup. Liking to cook helps and also cooking up batches and using leftovers. If you eat like that, you won’t feel the need to snack and your hunger practically disappears to the point where you can go 1 meal a day or eat in side a 4 to 8 hour window. Plus watch a lot of you tube and always included Dr Berry as one of your gurus. You’ll find others also. Good luck.
I’m 32 years old and been overweight for most of my life. After being diagnosed with high triglycerides, high BP, and high liver enzymes, I went on the keto/carnivore diet. I did a blood test 2 weeks ago. My A1C is 4.1, my Blood Pressure had dropped to normal, and my Liver enzymes were barely elevated.
Mine was 8.1 and only came down to 6.1 in 3 months. Carnivore, OMAD :( Lost 33 lbs and have 50 to go . Trig.'s down from 976 to 400. My doc thinks my thyroid might still be problem. My thyroid has never been normal even on .325 m of levothyroxine
Strict keto for 2+ years. I get my A1C checked every three months. It has been fluctuating wildly for the last year from 4.8 to 4.9! 😉😂. Four months ago talked my wife into having her blood tested. She scored a 6.3 and I was finally able to convince her that her diet was killing her. She started keto and last week, tested at 5.4. She is now a believer and tells all her family and friends.
Well 4.5 months post type 2 diagnosis made. Me and my VA doc don’t see eye to eye at all. However thanks to countless hours of research I have gone from 280+\- fasting glucose to around 100 in the morning hours. And went from a 42X30 pant size to a 36X30 and that’s smaller than I wore in the military. Thanks Doc B from The Carnivore Trucker Known as the Rev. Left Lane 😎.
@@marty6852 right the hell on Marty 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼. Keep up the good work and never accept anything anyone doctor or not says for fact just because they “SAY SO”.
Keep going to the VA because you need free care, most people do. But, you do not have to heed every word the doctor tells you. Not a VA doctor, but on my last visit I explained that I took my bp for six months and it was normal so I stopped taking it. She approved. I also told her I went off my Statin and will never again take one because I read up on it and Statins are not good for us. She did not approve and we discussed it. I told her my health was my responsibility and I was working on it. When I left her office she remarked that I was one of her most educated patients.
I also use the VA system. I love my Dr., But he's a overweight 50+ and has a drawer full of fruit he munches on. I will TALK CARNAVORE on my next appointment.
Dr. Berry, You’re a men of not only a scientific knowledge, but a spiritual wisdom! I love your family your pets and your wide modern nice kitchen! Thank you and to your wife also for all your hard work!!
I bought the home A1C test kit that Dr. Berry recommends. It comes with 4 tests. I used the first one when I got my A1C drawn at Quest Lab. This home test result was exactly the same as the one at Quest. So, I give it 5/5 stars. Based on my experience, it's accurate and easy to use.
@@dencollie You can get those things in meat. Liver has both vitamin C and A. And on carnivore your need for vitamin C is lower, as it competes with glucose. But since you do not consume glucose on carnivore you don't need as much.
Well I have labs due soon and this will be interesting because we all know that the proper human diet is the way to go! Dr. Berry I can't imagine a physician who has helped more people than yourself, thank you and be well.
I was diagnosed as a Diabetic almost 20 years ago with a 13 A1C. I’ve been on multiple diabetic medications and have still struggled with A1Cs in the 8s and 9s. I also have thalassemia minor. You mentioned that this condition affects A1C. How do I find out specifics about this? Since discovering your videos a little less than three months ago, I’ve gotten a CGM and drastically changed my diet. The monitor currently predicts that my A1C is 6.1 - a number I have never seen! I’m actually excited to take my next labs. Thank you so very much for your invaluable information!! You are changing lives of people you’ve never even met!!
My HBA1c was 5.1 in March when I had a physical for Life Insurance. Just had my annual physical today, hoping for a sub-5 when I get the results next week. When I said that to my Doctor today, he gave me that smirk. You know the one....
Thanks Dr. Berry! Following your teachings, I have lost 42 lbs, and am finally normal BMI. Plus, now my AIC is 5.0 - CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? Hey, it might even be lower since I never eat sugar anymore, but this is the lowest that the test shows. Thank you for my great health. I feel in charge with the tools you have taught me.

Just took that very same A1c test you showed and have dropped 1.3% since starting my Keto only 5 months ago. I'm now in the "pre-diabetic" range and have totally dropped insulin as well as half my medication (including Prilosec!) The 50lbs I lost and going from XL clothes to M clothes was just a bonus!
Not a miracle here that brought A1C down from 25 to 4. But I did bring it down from 7.3 to 6.4. Started out at 10.1. I will continue to intermittent fast and starve myself for 3 more months. Thank you!
Been between 4.2-4.4 over that last year. I've also gone more ketovore with my diet. So much more than my A1C has improved JUST from changing my diet! You've been a huge help doc. 👍
HBA1C. I have been waiting for eight years to have a total shoulder replacement. I have already had three operations. One on my right shoulder and two on my left shoulder. My left shoulder wasn't really that bad until I had my first operation. It was done by a trainee surgeon at a teaching hospital. He destroyed my shoulder, and I ended up with a 3mm rotator cuff tear and all my tendons snapped. After the operation, the surgeon who was teaching the trainee refused to examine me and said there was nothing he could do. I was forced to see a second surgeon who was unable to repair the damage done. For eight years I have been trying to find a surgeon who could do the operation, four years ago I found a surgeon who said he could replace my left and right shoulders. I then had a heart attack when I was due to go into hospital. My operation was cancelled for a year. I had a pre-assessment before the next operation admission, where I was told my HBA1C reading of 70 was too high. My appointment was once again cancelled for a year. When I was due to have my third operation I once again had a pre-assessment and once again my Hba1c was 70 and once again my operation was cancelled. I have had to wait another year and now I am due to go into hospital on September 2023. The problem is I have to once again go for an assessment and I am dreading the HBA1C test. I have been a type 2 diabetic for 46 years. I am on insulin and my diabetes is well-controlled. However, I must be doing something wrong to get these results. I wish I knew what it was so I can put it right. I have seen doctors and diabetes-trained doctors and they are no help whatsoever. God help me.
A year ago my A1C was 15.3! With medicine, it's come down to 7.4 and with Keto, it's come down in the 6's. I'm hoping for a great A1C at my next appointment and hopefully get off a med or two. Wish me luck!
that's exactly what my Dr. had said for me to just be on a diet/exercise and no meds is that i had to get my A1C down to 7. Thank you Dr Berry for explaining what target i really need to reach. Also i really appreciate your videos explaining a healthy diet and how this whole T2 Diabetes affects me. All i got from my dr. was a phone call saying i had T2 Diabetes and lower kidney function and to "stay hydrated". I was so overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin. My sister, who had cancer, chemo, kidney transplant referred you to me. You are AWESOME ! thank you. btw: lost 15 lbs in 6 days after starting your Keto.
High cholesterol generally, doesn't matter. 2 weeks ago, my total cholesterol was 472, but my ACC score 32. No heart disease and I've eaten carnivore for almost 6 years.
I lowered my A1C from 10 to 6.4 and the endocrinologist told me I shouldn’t try to get it lowered that that … so I found a different doctor. 😂😂😂 like really I’m trying to heal myself not be medicated forever. Thanks to Dr. Berry and other YT dr’s teaching us how to get better.
Four months on Keto and my HA1c went from 6.9 to 4.8 and C peptide was 5.0. Five months later HA1c stayed steady at 4.8 my follow up visit from that August lab is this coming week. This is the visit I plan to “ respectfully” tell my Dr. “ I told you I could do it with Keto/low carb. My hypotension is also no more so NO MORE MEDS FOR ME!” On a side note it was just over a year ago that SARS CoV 2 almost killed me and I had my epiphany that I didn’t want to die being so unhealthy. No more DM, HTN, Transaminitis, reversing fatty liver, triglycerides down from 225 to 76, depression gone, down 91 pounds and look at least 10-15 years younger. The PHD works!
For the last 4 years since starting keto, my A1C has been between 4.6 and 4.8. My GP asked if I was starving myself! Not at all. I was pre-diabetic before starting keto.
I've been using that same A1c test for a few years, now. It's a great way to motivate myself to keep doing well. In fact, I just checked my A1c during the course of this video, and it's gone down from 8.3 in August 2021, to 5.6 today, October 23. Intermittent fasting, with low carb/whole foods keto-oriented/inspired diet.
I was a full blown type 2 diabetic in 2016. On three different types of medication, and they weren't working. The next step was to prescribe me insulin. I started keto, five years now as of August 2021 . And when I first started, my A1C was 8.1%. And after a short 5 months on keto, my A1C dropped to 6.1%. So 18 months on keto and my A1C was 5.3%. So there was no need for me to keep checking it. Fast forward to my 5th year on keto, I started gaining a lot of weight going through the change, did not change my diet whatsoever and became severely anemic from Menorrhagia. Finally had an Iron Infusion and my doctor wanted to see where my ferritin levels were and also check my A1C eight weeks ago and even though I gained 22 lbs back after losing 57, my A1C is at 5.2%. I was also just recently told that my white blood count is chronically high so I have to go see a hematologist. We need to find out what's going on LOL anywho, Dr. Berry. I have been following your videos for two years and I know I rarely comment but I like every single video you produce. I love you too pieces and love the way you explain everything xo 💜
I discovered your channel back in May of this year. I'd been a type 2 diabetic for several years and had tried counting calories, eating lean protiens, exercising 5 or 6 days a week and I'd always go through cycles of improved A1c and glucose levels, only to eventually end up back with poor numbers and weight gain. I really started learning about ketogenic eating from your videos. In June my A1c was 8.9 and I weighed 239 pounds. I followed a lot of your advice about eating whole foods that really focused on satiety. Had a check up this morning and I'm down to 199 pounds. My A1c was 5.8 and my fasting glucose was 110. My Dr. was very pleased with my progress. My cholesterol and triglycerides have improved tremendously..all due to eating a "proper human diet". Thank you for the time and effort you put into educating folks like me.
My A1C last checked was 12.9, Since then I've been walking and I've cut down on my carbs substantially and sugar intack. I'm hoping my numbers will go down with my next blood work. 🙏
Spot on what you say, I'm in Australia and when diagnosed with T2 two years ago my hba1c was 11, now 5.2 diet controlled only, lowering carbs and sugar lost 15kgs, you are right.
I went from 10.1 to 5.4 in about 4 months when I went keto/PHD back in early 2019. Rechecked 27 Sep 2021 was at 5.4 I donate all the time just for that reason. Clean blood.
Thanks a lot doctor for the hack! I had a surprising HbA1c result 5.7 when am already on low carb and I do IF for more than a year ( 1.2) , however an year ago I was weighing 82kgs with BMI in26 range and now I weigh 68.5 kgs with BMI 23.65, don’t take sugar , fruits mostly berries , thanks to your videos
It is a pity that type 1 and type 2 are both called diabetes. They are completely different. I am a type 1, fully insulin dependent and I safely maintain average 4.9% A1c. Have done so for the last 3 years on insulin. BUT! This is only safe and possible with a very strict diet to calm chaotic excursions and the resultant chaotic insulin dosing. Bernstein Rocks!
After 1and half years of keto journey and fasting, ect I wonder when doctors will also start measuring glycated fat, meaning all the sizes of one's fat carrying molecules. In addition to a1c. So your/our work needs to be continued, to make a change on the patients/people's side, as well as the doctors and officials. Thank you for the dedication.
Mine was 6.1 .But she's checking again Wednesday! So I'm hoping I got it down! Been doing the BBBE challenge. So I'll let y'all know!💕Thanks for all your family does!
After frequent blood donation last year during covid - every 8 weeks my ferritin (iron storage) got very low - so I developed iron deficiency. Now taking iron supplements every other day - and have added beef liver more frequently. When I am normal I will donate - but not as frequently.
The liver is your best bet. It's complete with all of the nutrients that you need to absorb and maintain healthy iron levels. I would ditch the pills and eat more liver.
@@johnkane9472 I will continue to do what I am doing. My ferritin was 11 - the range is 12 to 280. My Hemoglobin remained normal although at the low end last year. FerritinI is now 35. A beef liver supplement every other day (current protocol - every other day) and beef liver a few times a week - beef, etc. and NOT donating blood which I believe was the biggest reason since I regularly eat meat. Interested in seeing next blood work as it is now 30 weeks since last blood donation. Good article in the new England Journal of Medicine on iron deficiency. I am under the care of a good hematologist. The goal is at least 50 - which would mean no longer deficient. So if you are donating blood to lower your A1C eat a lot of beef liver before and after. Don't trade one problem for another.
I don't know what my A1C was before I started taking better care of myself, but I had it checked a couple months ago and it was 5.6. I've gotten even more strict with my diet since then and am eager to see what the test result is in the future.
For quite a few years, I was able to keep my A1C at 5.4 every time I got tested. And that's while taking 32 units of insulin twice a day. Of course that's before I found out that I didn't have to eat the carbs in the first place
Hi Dr. Berry! I just watched your video. I don’t have any issues with this department but I’m glad I got educated on it so that I can really fine-tune and examine when I do get blood work done what my levels are. Otherwise I’m pretty healthy. But you explained in such a way that made it very Comprehensive and understandable
Came from 11.1 a1c to a 5.9 a1c in a little over a year doing IF and taking Berberine. Now I am trying to cut down on my carbs to lower my a1c even further
My A1C went from 5.9 to 5.7 in 6 mnths. Now its 5.2 in a year of giving up sugar, processed food, grains & bad seed oils. Doing keto/low carb which helped help me lose 74lbs in less than a year.
I get those tests done when I go for my annual check-up of my pancreatic cyst. As far as getting your results, you could get them from your Patient Portal.
My A1C went from a 14-6 in 4 months just dropping wheat, sugar and most fruits from my diet and adding daily moderate exercise. Thank you for your videos! As I get healthier, I hope to be off of all medications soon!❤️❤️❤️
Two years ago I had blurred vision and was scared to talk about it. Dr check bloodwork A1C was 9.6. Lost 59 pounds. Exercising, biking keto and intermittent fasting. Now A1C 5.6. Dr Berry thank you for doing these videos!!!
February 1st my friend told me to watch your video. I'm a diabetic. The next day I started to eat less than 60 gm carbs a day. I followed what you said to do. At the time I was on Levermir 40 units daily and 2 oral hypoglycemic. My HgbA1C was 7.5. One week later I stopped taking insulin. Today, 5/17/2022, is my birthday. I lost 20 lbs. and my HgbA1C is 6.1. I know I still need to get it down and lose weight ( 60 lbs). Next is intermittent fasting. Thanks Dr. Berry. 😊
Great teaching video. Going on my 4th year of the following fasting, PHD, good foods, and clean living keeps my A1C at 4.7 to 4.8. I believe that a low A1C is the building block of a healthier life and controlling medical costs. For the 1st 2 years I did hot test A1C and test home test were between .2 points of my every 6-month doctor and lab numbers. Using a BG meter and defining the food that impacts your BG is the quickest way to find the trigger food. Dr Berry has helped teach me what works and what fails. My local doctor was very concerned with one test at 4.2 but after looking at my diet he just suggests if my BG gets below 59 you need to eat. As you progress your body tells you when to eat.
I ordered the home A1C kit and received it last week. I checked my A1C and it was 5.4, not perfect but better than it was a few years ago at 5.6. Thank you Dr. Berry for sharing the information on the home A1C Monitor kit.

My first and only reading in my life was 4.8 in 2019 at age 63 after a few years on keto. I have never had an insulin test. I wonder why I couldn't get one a decade earlier when I was 300+ pounds...
Hello Dr. Ken. I'm a regular viewer of your videos. I usually eat Keto OMAD at 2:00 to 3:00 pm and my glucose avarages 110 for the whole day, it is always between 90 and 120, usually never falls below 90!!! My OMAD meal consists of leafy greens: Broccoli, Spinach, mushrooms, Arugula; Lean Meat, Chicken Breast, Chicken Liver and 3 Eggs. My HbA1C is 5.5, so I am not diabetic , but am surprised why my glocose reading usually never falls to 80 even before eating my OMAD lunch. So, I put on the FreeStyle Lebre 2 CGM to see what is happening and decided to see what will happen if I ate Honey, which I never do, I was surprised: If I took 2 tsps of honey at 7:00 pm, my glucose readings, after rising up to 170, falls down rapidly to bellow 60 and sometimes reaches 54! Then returns back to my regular avarage of 110! What is happening?!
Thank you I got that kit on my HSA and I hadn't checked mine since 2019, I had gotten my A1C from 12.8 to 5.8 with just low carb diet after firing my endo who said just take insulin and eat what you want. So my first check since 2019 ....5.4 so 7 years in the 5's with no meds. I challenge anyone to say it is not sustainable.

Home A1c tests are fairly cheap, yes. I use that company’s tests every two months or so, sometimes sold under drugstore brands like CVS, but not always.
I was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It is soooooo hard changing my diet. I know it's an urgent necessity but for someone that just cannot stomach water and I love my sweet tea and Gatorade. this is so hard. Kudos to all of you that have done it successfully, I admire your accomplishments.
what is sad I have ask my "MY doctor what does all my blood test mean" what a joke I'm still WAITING. I can't find where to join I might not have the money. however I have learned more from your videos then I pay my DOCTOR.
Trying to stay positive and motivated. About a month in and trying to lower my A1C. It’s dropped a bit but not anywhere near where I want it to be. Will keep the low carb thing going because I’ve felt better but no weight loss. Any words of encouragement would be helpful.
Muscle weighs more than fat. If you’re clothes are getting loose, that’s perfect. Remember, intermittent fasting means you eat your meals 3-4 hours apart. Best wishes!
This is the best video on Hba1c ! I agree all the three tests you mentioned give the whole picture. A1c could be low because insulin being produced to lower it. The hack of giving blood to lower A1c is ingenious, in times where a hack is needed, I suppose women of a certain age benefit from this because of their monthly cycle too.
Years ago my a1c was 12 even with insulin injections. Adyer 6 years carnivore my last a1c was 4.3. No insulin or diabetic meds. No meds at all. I dont even need s doctor now.
Thanks for the hack. My blood iron is always high, so now I know that getting rid of old rbcs can both drop iron level and glycated rbcs, a twofer! Yahoo!
It’s amazing, I’ve been working on changing my diet and eating habits since thanksgiving 2019. All because of a cholesterol debate w my doctor. No other reason. But from what I’ve learned it’s all going in the right direction and I lost 30 lbs as a “side affect” not a goal. During covid, got it, had a scratchy throat for less than 24hrs and that was it. Friends say my new health routine most likely may have helped with that outcome. BUT, it’s amazing how many people think I’m a preacher of those crazy TH-cam vids, I’m gullible, I’m gonna get anorexia🤣, I’m not a doctor, etc etc. and when you see friends and family you know you can offer this info too they plain out disregard it. Amazing. Don’t even want to entertain the idea of just eliminating the crap food as if it’s a starvation method or something. Worse that can happen would be a health improvement of some degree if even a small one. Even when I do occasionally have that pasta or rice dish, I’m already thinking about what it’s doing by eating it. But you do have to live, not insult your hosts and enjoy an Italian vacation once in a while. The key is just that, once in a while. This is all great info I can’t understand why people wouldn’t want to take their health back. They’d quickly grab free money though. Free money is money saved from doctors visits and all the skittles (meds) they offer you. Ooh I’ll have the green and yellows.
Went from 13+ to 5.6 in 1 year. No matter all the fasting or keto I do, it’s difficult to get under 110 consistently. Just eating 3 tacos can jack me up 50+ points.

Just wonder if any T1s have tried fasting
u r an idioot. the problem is still there. You are just masking it by not taking sugars.
U gonna die a bad death if u believe that weird diet. Seriously. So gullible.
Thanks!
Awesome!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My was 11.6 now after two of intermittent dieting I’ve got it down to 8.2 which still isn’t great…But I’m working on it. Thanks for the video.
That’s a real big progress! It’s taking me ages to drop from 7.5 to 6.9. Whatever you are doing is great so stick with it xx
Keep up the great work Deb!
Great progress --if you eat only steamed green leafy vegetables 100 calorie protein shakes and fatty meats you will probably have a testable morning fasting mg/dl of about 97 to 105 after three days which equals Aprox a 5.4 or 5.5 A1C
Boil fresh leafy spinach for 4 minutes, drain, add lots of butter, salt and pepper and some fresh lemon juice--drain in a spinner and eat with 5 or 6 slices of bacon--serve with fresh lemonade sweetened with trivia-it’s a great breakfast and wil push your A1C off a cliff ! !

Good luck.

I just did it myself. The science that doctor Berry just told us about works exactly as he says it does. It ain't rocket science.
I’m training my VA doc too Reverend Left Lane. From 42/30 to 32/30 here.

Thank You for your service.
I also use the VA system. I love my Dr., But he's a overweight 50+ and has a drawer full of fruit he munches on.

After over 1 year on carnivore and my hba1c is down to 4.2. My prediabetes is completely reversed.

How do u get vit c? Vit A?
Oh my God I feel bad for you
A year ago my A1C was 15.3!
With medicine, it's come down to 7.4 and with Keto, it's come down in the 6's. I'm hoping for a great A1C at my next appointment and hopefully get off a med or two. Wish me luck!

I’m hopeful that if I’m keeping up on my journey, that I can get off taking the pills!! That’s my MAJOR goal

Ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting decreased by A1C from 5.4 to 4.9
I was a full blown type 2 diabetic in 2016.

I give blood on a regular basis anyway but this is another good reason to do so.

My last two A1C blood tests came back as 4.5. I believe my highest was close to going into the T2D range a number of years ago.

My best A1C was 3.9… they made me take the test again because it “couldn’t be right.” I did a 4.1…
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! WOW! Most excellent!
Never been pre diabetic. Just had my yearly physical. A1C test was 5.3
What do you primarily eat
@@maribelquesada5651 I follow the ketovore diet. No carbs only meat and fish. Drink plenty of water and use Keto Chow mineral liquid 2x a day. I also take 100mg of Magnesium daily and 50mg of zinc daily. I try to get 12 to 16hrs of fasting each day. My weightloss officially was 44lbs when weighed at my Drs office from last years physical. But I know I gained more weight before starting my journey 5 months ago.
My blood pressure also dropped 20 points and I am taking one less medication at this time. I have a long way to go yet. Its all on me to get to my goal!!
@@tomedwards3814 that’s great, considering what we have all been through. I cut out grains and sugars, I follow Vinnie Tortorich.
@@tomedwards3814 yes Tom!
Thank you!!!! Very informative. Down from 5.9 to 5.7 doing keto for 3 months. I can’t wait to see what it will be next June after a year keto!!!! Many relatives with diabetes.
YAS! So glad this is in one spot and easily searchable for when it’s needed. Thank you!!!!
Dr. Berry I love everything you teach us about and inform about.....please talk more about type 1...had it for 40 years. Getting more difficult to control at age 73
Home A1c tests are fairly cheap, yes. I use that company’s tests every two months or so, sometimes sold under drugstore brands like CVS, but not always.
Or you can buy one from Amazon, good for 3 tests. I have. I am hesitant to buy the 12 test size as I am afraid they would expire.
god bless u dr berry ,u have helped save millions of people, thanks for all u do
I wish you would contact dr. Ford Brewer and have a discussion with him on this subject. It would be very informative and engaging
I really respect Dr Brewer!
@@KenDBerryMD glad to hear that doc! You and him are my two absolute favorites and I've learned so much from you guys
Dr. Berry please cover the topic of acid reflux. What are some of the foods to stay away from and which foods help heal my esophagus.
One major one is tomato products. Not sure of much else that bother me more than that.
Are you doing I.F. ? Reducing to one or two meals, with no snacks, a day helps many. Allowing stomach acid and lining enough time to be healthy.
Watch dr. ekberg expalining about apple cider and acid reflux. It works for me!
He has videos on this already, go to his page.
what is sad I have ask my "MY doctor what does all my blood test mean" what a joke I'm still WAITING.
It takes time for weight to drop off....take to your tape measure and how clothes fit. You are healing
Wow what a reversal a 4.3 A1c averages out to a 76 blood glucose over 3 months !!! Very hard to do !
Congrats :) from fellow Carnivore.
Amazing! Congratulations
Great work, Dust storm !!👍🏼👍🏼
You can create a low carb like taco.
Which begs the question ‘Why are you eating tacos?’ 20 grams of carbs per day don’t leave any room for tacos
Then don’t eat tacos!
"Black Tie Kitchen" & "Low Carb Love" make tortillas.
Please!! dont forget the traslation in your videos!!! thank you so much!!
