    This tiny piece is not only intimate and relatable for those of us who have experienced the bike as absolutely life changing, it's transcendent. Thank you!

    Her words hit close to home because we are cyclists and understand what she means. For me, no other mode of transportation can make me feel alive the way a bicycle can. I love my bike.

      Same here, I know it sounds daft but I actually talk to my bike, she helps clear those cobwebs that build up.
      I'm already planning a 200+ mile backpacking ride for next year.

      @tconnolly9820 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't mind my asking, do you use your bike for escapism as in just road cycling, mtb'ing and so on for sport and recreation?
      Or is it utilitarian for commuting to work, school, doing the shopping, going to the cinema or the pub or whatever?

    • @grumpy-dad3701
      @grumpy-dad3701 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tconnolly9820 I use my bike for almost everything. Commuting, shopping, escapism, and fun.
      All off road.
      absolutely no road riding for me.

    I used to cycle 5 or 6 days a week. This beautifully crafted film captures the emotional benefits of cycling and evokes a nostalgia that is hard to put into words. Thank you to Liam and Daniela ❤

    Beautiful film and topic. Her words are true and profound. Cycling brings balance to your life in a fun way, mentally and physically. At 66 I've gotten back into cycling for the health benefits and it's paying off.

    I started to ride a bicycle at the age of 4, and I have always loved riding. Except for the years I was in the Marines, I've had bicycles. I recently started to ride a bit more seriously, and even entered my first triathlon. I have many bicycles, but I have focused on my road bike, and truly enjoy the feeling of trying out a new trail and challenges. Other than fishing, cycling truly helps clear the mind and raise the spirit.

    I appreciate this and everything she said about how you feel about cycling is so true. In the beginning of the ride you might sometimes feel tired or whatever and slowly as you go on riding you get the rythm of it and actually enjoy it so much witout realizing you have been riding for 5 hours. I enjoy it so much.

    Living in New Zealand for ten plus years has made me realise just how fortunate riders in the UK and Europe are. To have film makers producing such quality celebrates this. I miss it all keep it safe.

    Brillaint short film! A big well done! It kinda resurfaces my unspoken desire to meet a decent person like Daniela who is into riding like myself . . . and just go riding together in fantastic peaceful places like those shown in this video. There where nature rules the game and not the filthy humans.

    After the first hour I can just keep going. Feels like time stops and the only things that matters is you and your bike. Biking doesn’t care if you feel bad, good, if you are rich or poor. Just keep biking.

      I recently got more interested in cycling and the beauty of bicyles. I bought 1, a second n then a third. I just have to make time for riding. I took the 3rd bike out recently and did 18-20 miles about in 90 degree weather. Can't wait to push forward and work up my stamina + get fit. And meet other cyclists

    In February of 2020 I felt something was about to happen so I got 2 bikes out of storage: one for me and one for my son, and had them both tuned up at the local bike shop. Sure enough, March 2020 we went on "lockdown" and everything got weird. No work, no school, but we had some amazing bike rides with no cars on the streets. It was wonderfully STRANGE.

    Beautiful Film thankyou. Keep up the great work. Nothing beats the rolling two wheel meditation that we call Cycling....I have the privilege of living on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia which is a breathtaking place to ride. I don't think there is a better way to connect with nature and with yourself than by travelling by bike. Your film reminded me of that.....time for a ride❤️

    Bikes. Bikes have been in my life big time since I was big enough to wobble around on one. ....We raced our bikes thru jr high and high school, just flat out around polished cement tracks, jumped off truck loading docks, leapt over roads, we built our own bikes up from bits we could find cheap....Raced motorycles, rode em on big trips for months, trailriding, but always bicycles too............now Im 64 and riding mt bikes, riding in big group rides on road bike 2 or 3 times a week, gravel bikes, any kind of bike Im down with it..........still with motorcyles also. Anything on 2 wheels I'm there..................covid meant lots of solo rides but I was fine with it.

    • @Phil-pq4ks
      @Phil-pq4ks ปีที่แล้ว

      Except motorcycles are not "bikes." The nickname bike is short for "bicycle" The name bikers was something the disrespectful individuals who climb on the illegal exhausted Harleys made up. They're called motorcyclists...
