This is video for those DIY people on a budget. No where does it say that this is how to professionally install carpets. I run a equipment rental company and help people do projects all the time. This video is great. It's super simple and easy to understand. The tools are cheap. All these people talking about carpet stretchers need to understand budget/cost and how that effects home owners. Yeah but honestly not everyone can knee a knee kicker like that, my first time I thought I blew out my knee, now I can rip the carpet if I go to hard. And the way it was done the carpet will bubble as soon as the summer gets there. Just pay someone who knows the proper way to stretch it.
Well said Phillip. You go Edgar, I hope this drummed up some extra installs for. It’s about the homeowner saving where he can. Many homeowners are smart and can learn from this. He always did the stairs last so we only had about 30 minutes left of working. I ran out and got a bunch of napkins out of the truck and also an Ace bandage. He wrapped his leg up finished the job and went to his doctor who stitched him up. Those knives are very sharp and have four sides to them so you can switch it 4 times before the blade is dull

Jeff... in 20 years I’ve never had a call back. If you stretch really hard the first two pulls in a room, like almost over stretch it will help you out a bunch. Here in Idaho we only give a one year warranty anyway. Cheep carpet is going to fail eventually regardless depending on the traffic and abuse.
Wrong. First, use a power stretcher and remover the door. Then, set the back closet wall, stretch out of the closet towards the windows. Set the entire wall along the stretch. Flip the stretcher to the opposite wall and stretch across the entryway. Set that entire wall. Work your way to the corner towards the window wall. Flip the stretcher back towards the window wall working your way to the corner. Hop in the closet and stretch your way to the opposed corner. Cut it all down with a wall trimmer.
By a professional flooring installer you do not use a kicker to stretch carpet, you use a stretcher, lol.Ive been installing since 1871, I'm a master installer and never kick a carpet in, never. Although I do appreciate it when my customer calls me and I make really great money fixing their problems, can usually get 3-4" more on a power stretcher, thanks for this, gives me more $$$$.

Amazing work, I see people on here complaining about how he doesn't do things right, alls I got to say is " WHY The hell you here watching these vids? you must need work. lmao OH BOY !! mad people I tell ya!

Horrible installation job.
Doing this 18 years...it’s flat not stretched.
Gharrett klawitter y don’t u post one of your videos installing carpet
Lmao the carpet was stretched fine. Enough to do the job
I hope diy people follow these instructions, it just guarantees I will always have work
I get calls a year later to "re-stretch' these jobs. This will fail real soon.
Jeff... in 20 years I’ve never had a call back. If you stretch really hard the first two pulls in a room, like almost over stretch it will help you out a bunch. Here in Idaho we only give a one year warranty anyway. Cheep carpet is going to fail eventually regardless depending on the traffic and abuse.
I don't know if you've caught on but, They've produced power stretchers.
Theyre for pussies
Roy Keane 🐯😂
@@sweetvuvuzela4634 am i wrong tho
Roy Keane nah it’s true bud but perhaps those power stretchers maybe more suited to commercial environments huge halls but not for domestic
@@sweetvuvuzela4634 exactly not suitable or even necessary for domsestic work.
Wait, hold up. I didn’t see how he did that
Am I the only one who’s in love with his voice?
By a professional flooring installer you do not use a kicker to stretch carpet, you use a stretcher, lol.Ive been installing since 1871, I'm a master installer and never kick a carpet in, never. Although I do appreciate it when my customer calls me and I make really great money fixing their problems, can usually get 3-4" more on a power stretcher, thanks for this, gives me more $$$$.
For over 50 years, 1971
I can see that I will be installing 79 cent laminate because of the way my knees are set up.
0:52 so we all just ignore that. No one else heard that? 😂 bro played it off smooth ass he'll too
Lol at the beginning when the dude ran in circles around him..
As you can see.....this was a helpfull video :)
