We played some of these in 1985. A year later will was my judge in percussion district solo ensemble at North Western State University in Natchitoches La. he was a patient teacher and always gave positive advice to improve. I wrote many cadences because of him. He had a drum set in his office and played once for me. He wrote a cool version of another one bites the dust I wish I could find again including ease on down the road. Corp. style cadences was his thing. Back then we all played his stuff.
I had the pleasure of learning these cadences, with Drum-line instructor Will Rapp back in '77-79. He is a solid director who knows how to bring together his format of sound/ to excellence! I still play drums, and I do cherish memories to this day, of when I was in Marching Band/ under his direction. many thanks' Willis Rapp
Ugh I hated this cadence. Played it or rather I attempted my freshman year in college. Idk why but had a bit of trouble with the cymbal part. Hadn't read music since 6th grade so had to relearn it all
Huh my school has always mad our cadence up. We have cadences that was written by former percussionist 20 years ago. We have one where he has passed away and play it in his honor. Plus our cadence our so much better.
