  • Crap run. My best is a 35:25.5, also a crap run. I swear my 35:36 was better than both of these runs.

    Always astounding to see how few subscribers this channel has. Duckfist provides speedruns with such precision and such dedication (especially with his commentaries and helping newbies to get into speedrunning).

    I liked right after 1:04 realizing you were shooting along with the rhythm of the melody, warmed up my musical heart :) Tight run aswell!

    I'd love to see a Protoman or Bass run of this game at GDQ. Normally during MM runs I always prefer the blue bomber. But 9 & 10 are two of my favorites and I think it would be so awesome to have a donation incentive to play as MM/PM/Bass or a MM9 Proto run would be amazing.

    So many pixel perfect jumps, quick weapon switches and other button imputs... It drives me crazy to think you did this all without any programs. One question though: Did you use turbo controller?

    the time i got (clear time at the end) was 37:13 i guess thats pretty good

      The clear time at the end that pops up on your screen is an In-Game clear time, which is not quite the same as a Real Time run like this one. For example, Duckfist's run here was 35:28.2 in Real Time but only 22:47 in-game. In-game timer stops when picking up items like health and weapon energy refills, and I know in MM9, it stops when you menu. Not sure about MM10 on menu-ing though. Also doesn't account for time spent selecting next stage or going to shop, etc. That said, 37:13 in-game time is still not a bad run at all. So GG! :)

      Nah, Duckfist can mash like a madman. You run these games enough, especially 9 & 10 (and even more so on difficult mode, even though that is not what's being played, I'm just pointing it out), and mashing that fast just becomes normal. If it were a turbo controller, anyone who runs Mega Man games regularly, and that includes me, would notice. The rapid fire Gecko code shortens the firing animation and is quite noticeable, and that is not happening here as far as I can tell. :)
