@@V0YAG3R It realy wasn't. Its actually one of the easiest Levels in the Game. All you have to do is swim around and deactivate the Bombs. Heck, I beat this level several Times as an 8 Year old.
I remember getting to the techno drome a few times as a kid although I never beat it. Watching these speed runs it makes me think I probably beat about 5% of the NES games I owned. I must have played Snake Rattle n Roll for like 1000 hours. Never beat it!

I think he sacrificed that turtle to get out of the building quicker. Basically, as long as Donatello lives, you are OK - since Donatello is SO much more powerful than the other turtles.
See these are the types of stories is why I love this generation. The pain, the agony, and triumph in some cases with just life in general. Everybody did their best with what they had no matter the outcome. You're a champion in my book sir.

When I was Young my older brother and I adored this game. We had a lot of trouble of the swimming bomb diffuse stage at around 4:00. Seeing you play this is making me itch to do a run and see how I do. I learned a lot from this video. Great job!

Years ago I recreated the water level in super mario maker. It's called: Dam Water Level. I haven't logged onto the wii network or whatever it's called in years so I have no idea if it's still up. But I recreated it to be exact.
I never thought of that trick for the underwater level hence why I usually died on it - remembering Donatello is SO much more powerful than the other turtles, all that really matters is Donatello stays alive, if Donatello dies the game is pretty much impossible - hence pretty much sacrificing the other turtles to run through the electric zaps to save time!
Played this endlessly as a kid. I never made it past the jump you made at the 7:50 mark, because I always bumped my head on the jump. When I replayed the game as a teenager, I realized I just needed to tap the jump button to avoid hitting my head and falling in the pit.
This might be my new all time favorite video on TH-cam. I still play my original copy, on my second generation NES, and I can still make it into the Technodrome. I've never seen Shredder.

I played this game religiously when I was little. The day I finally made it to Shredder, my sister ran into my room and accidentally stepped on my Nintendo, causing it to shut off. I was so mad and to me becoming an adult to finally beat this game.

I think the no-fear, "Spikes? What spikes?" attitude plus tactical turtle teamwork are some things that make him rock the game.

The key to this is finding the right room to fight the Technodrome in Level 5
