I love how Chomsky says in like every one of his lectures and debates, "this is not something to laugh at.", but when he reveals things people laugh because not all humour is "funny". Sometimes it's extremely dark. Like a schizophrenic laughing hysterically in a straight jacket. The world is unbelievably insane.
The last thing you said makes no sense lol “not all humour is funny for example a lunatic in a straightjacket in an asylum laughing is not funny”, yes it isn’t funny where is the humour part?
objectivity is just about completely gone in media and language today. When this film was made it wasn't even as bad as it is now. Oppinions seem to be the only thing that matters to most people anymore and the line between subjective and objective thinking seems to be blurred.
jaye see What’s your point? Do you have to set foot on a construction site to have credibility? If so, how does having “set foot on a construction site” make one more credible? If that’s not what you mean, then what do you mean? Couple quick details to bear in mind: Chomsky grew up in poverty, during the Great Depression, and worked to put himself through college, so he was working class for a minimum of 20 years of his life (more than that really). Chomsky may not have set foot on a construction site, but he’s stood in solidarity with people in the streets many times, in many countries, and has risked his career getting arrested. Chomsky has said that’s he is amongst those who live a very privileged lifestyle, and that he should be forced to share his wealth, so while he may not be working class any longer, unless he’s a liar, his attitude about his own wealth is that it should largely be confiscated via heavy taxation, etc. Reasons like these are why it’s never really mattered to me that he’s never set foot on a construction site... ✌🏼

Notice the claims of "silencing" the mainstream media through scepticism.

@@Catofminerva It's funny. Fuck off.
@@dewok2706 do you say ‘fuck off’ to people you simply disagree with in real life? i really doubt that, ppl act so weird behind a screen lol
@@Catofminerva I would say it to you, because you're a dumbass.
perfect example of someone who takes things that so-called intelligence people make complicated and simplifies it!
Love that dude.

Great Q&A.
“To vote for Ronald Regan is like voting for the Queen of England.”
Who remembers like. And subscribe. ✌️👍✊.

Not only were we so powerful we could silence the entire West but we could do it by magic!😂🙌🏾

Can someone recommend an honest independent news source that isn't subject to the undemocratic biases he's talking about?
Harrison Gatlin democracy now dot org or on TH-cam
Truthdig is a great online publication.
Empire Files is a good addition for any chomskyite. Granted there is a bias but the history is all on point
YOLO
I love listening to Chomsky, but lately I remember he's never set foot on a Construction Site in his life. Catch my drift?
