      @@SpawnPoiintthat’s what I was going to comment.. you are more ps5 player, aren’t you? So this wide monitor is not ideal for a console usage. What monitor would you recommend for Ps5 and work?

      @@MemerMani was actually wondering what was the reason for this monitor 34inch uqhd 240hz woled with matte finish, we already had qd-oled 175hz glossy ultra wide uqhd for 2 years now and they cost 850€ now, this one comes out at 1300€ seems to me a small upgrade for 500€ more at this point I would upgrade to a 4k 240hz qd-oled whatever the brand let’s say alienware, costs less gets you more or maybe wait for the woled with 1080p 480hz/4k 240hz dual mode, but this one reviewed in the video for me has no space when there are already qd-oleds outs for 900€

    • @nickbryant6970
      @nickbryant6970 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MemerMan it's nice for shooters too. Basically free fov. I've been testing between 360hz 25 inch 16:9 and the ultrawide oled 165hz and they're both just as good for fps. The whole 16:9 is better for fps is coming from people who don't own one or take time to get used to ultrawide.

    • @choocharoo
      @choocharoo 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends. If you dont have a 4080S or 4090 than 4k is not worth. Your gonna have a much better time on 1440p. Having said that the ultrawide format is more to push than the standard 16:9. So this or 4k panel gonna be hard to push. I guess its about future proving for maybe the next video card generation.

    I really want an OLED display that's 30+ inches for my Mac desktop setup. I've been very impressed with the OLED panels in my recent model iPhones and love viewing my photos and videos with such great color vibrance and contrast. Not to mention the deep blacks with OLED are so nice. Me using an Apple, means I don't really game but I do Minecraft plenty, but with macOS its more so for productivity and my main use is photo editing and web browsing and streaming videos, movies, or shows. I hope to not have burn in issues if I do choose OLED.

    Did they tone down the grainy-ness of the screen coating? I'm not a matte hater by any stretch. I have the Asus 27 inch WOLED right now and I love it EXCEPT for the coating because even by matte standards it's super grainy, so any time you play an HDR game and you get a bright white or blue light on your screen you can see the grain. There's matte, and then there's whatever this is.

    • @SpawnPoiint
      @SpawnPoiint  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    What about the risk of OLED burn-in for productivity? Honestly I would absolutely pull the trigger on one of these, and this ASUS also has that KVM function my current Dell IPS has, which is awesome. However my monitor is used for work more than it is for gaming, and I worry this will likely result in some kind of burn-in in less than 6 months.

      I'd say this is a great compromise for doing it all. The only issue I'd have with using it for work is the curve is quite extreme. So what is the aspect control function on this monitor, not all games support ultra wide. So you get blackbars and letterboxes during gameplay or doing cutsences ?

      Tough one. If you don't have one at all, I'd get a Slim now and make the most of it for the next 9-12 months. If you've got an OG PS5, not worth the change. Just wait.

    I'm hesitant with this monitor or the latest ASUS 34" OLED - ROG Swift PG34WCDM which is curved 800r oled but in 3440 by 1440p my config is with a 4090.
    I'm really hesitant between 4K or curved but in 1440p wouldn't that be a shame or frustrating?
    Would I see a concrete difference in the image and sharpness between a 34 inch 3440 by 1440 and 4K?
    My type of game, fps, tps, car a bit of everything and nice games like tomb raider, cyberpunk ect.
