@@MemerMani was actually wondering what was the reason for this monitor 34inch uqhd 240hz woled with matte finish, we already had qd-oled 175hz glossy ultra wide uqhd for 2 years now and they cost 850€ now, this one comes out at 1300€ seems to me a small upgrade for 500€ more at this point I would upgrade to a 4k 240hz qd-oled whatever the brand let’s say alienware, costs less gets you more or maybe wait for the woled with 1080p 480hz/4k 240hz dual mode, but this one reviewed in the video for me has no space when there are already qd-oleds outs for 900€
@MemerMan it's nice for shooters too. Basically free fov. I've been testing between 360hz 25 inch 16:9 and the ultrawide oled 165hz and they're both just as good for fps. The whole 16:9 is better for fps is coming from people who don't own one or take time to get used to ultrawide.
Depends. If you dont have a 4080S or 4090 than 4k is not worth. Your gonna have a much better time on 1440p. Having said that the ultrawide format is more to push than the standard 16:9. So this or 4k panel gonna be hard to push. I guess its about future proving for maybe the next video card generation.

I bought this monitor and was worried about the aggressive curve. Not a problem at all, you literally don’t notice it at all. I laughed playing games on it for the first time, the colours are brazy. I did have to adjust colours a bit because it does seem to lean on the orange side.

I bought the pg35vq on its release back in 2020 i think it was. Blows my mind that theres a upgrade to it when my monitor is literally insane. Cant wait for the pg39wcdm to come out. Id rather get the 39 over this 34 but whatever. The slimmer bezel and thinner profile of the screen itself looks nuts.
I really want an OLED display that's 30+ inches for my Mac desktop setup. I've been very impressed with the OLED panels in my recent model iPhones and love viewing my photos and videos with such great color vibrance and contrast. Not to mention the deep blacks with OLED are so nice. Me using an Apple, means I don't really game but I do Minecraft plenty, but with macOS its more so for productivity and my main use is photo editing and web browsing and streaming videos, movies, or shows. I hope to not have burn in issues if I do choose OLED.
OLED Ultrawides are great for gaming and work! I got the Samsung 34" Odyssey G85SB QD-OLED Ultrawide last year and honestly its a game changer. Can't use a 16:9 monitor anymore lol.
Just out of curiosity, do you worry about burn-in at all? Im in the market for a new monitor and Im awfully tempted to make the jump to OLED. Im not worried about productivity too much, I have my MacBook for that stuff. This would be almost purely for gaming.
@@NeatoFox No I don’t worry about it at all. There’s screen movement facility in place so it will move the screen slightly every so often. Then you can use screensaver etc to mitigate any screen burn concerns.
From the ones I've reviewed, I've only ever seen ROG do it, which it's a nice touch (and it's per monitor as it's got the monit''s serial number on it too).
Every monitor that is calibrated from factory and aim for work does come with a calibration sheet. I guess more and more gaming brands are adding it too now to seem "pro" :D
I can see them going for that price by that time honestly, with the amount of oleds starting to come out and the competition it’ll be there eventually, if not the used market will def be there.

Did they tone down the grainy-ness of the screen coating? I'm not a matte hater by any stretch. I have the Asus 27 inch WOLED right now and I love it EXCEPT for the coating because even by matte standards it's super grainy, so any time you play an HDR game and you get a bright white or blue light on your screen you can see the grain. There's matte, and then there's whatever this is.
What about the risk of OLED burn-in for productivity? Honestly I would absolutely pull the trigger on one of these, and this ASUS also has that KVM function my current Dell IPS has, which is awesome. However my monitor is used for work more than it is for gaming, and I worry this will likely result in some kind of burn-in in less than 6 months.

I'd say this is a great compromise for doing it all. The only issue I'd have with using it for work is the curve is quite extreme. Like there are no straight lines, but the visuals and clarity is impressive. Also as the PS5 doesn't support ultrawide you'd have to use it with those black bars.

Just ordered this monitor. Ready to try it on my new Radeon red devil rx 7800 xt GPU. Can’t wait I’m playing on a 32 in 165 hz now and it does good only bad thing is I get 300 + fps so on my 165 hz kinda hurts it. But it’ll be all good when this bad boy shows up

Its different. If you're a console gamer then don't bother. Once you experience over 200 FPS on a smaller OLED screen you will understand. I'm currently using the 27 inch Alienware 360 FPS screen coming from a 42 C2 @ 120 FPS. High FPS trumps screen size all day long.

I'm hesitant with this monitor or the latest ASUS 34" OLED - ROG Swift PG34WCDM which is curved 800r oled but in 3440 by 1440p my config is with a 4090. I'm really hesitant between 4K or curved but in 1440p wouldn't that be a shame or frustrating? Would I see a concrete difference in the image and sharpness between a 34 inch 3440 by 1440 and 4K? My type of game, fps, tps, car a bit of everything and nice games like tomb raider, cyberpunk ect.
How do you put up with the upscaling on the PS5? I tried Spider Man 2 once on it and it looked soooo streched, I couldn't handle it. Is there any tricks that I've missed? On your footage it isn't looking too bad.

Ultrawide monitors are definitely a game changer been using for a while now, impressed this even has a kvm and text looks really good.
I agree they are really impressive. As I don't often game on PC/laptop it's too much for console, but I've enjoyed it so far.

I'd say it was better than the 27" version. There's still some slight grain, but only when looking really closely.

Yes that makes the most sense for consoles. This is great for PC and using consoles in the smaller window.

How do you put up with the upscaling on the PS5? I tried Spider Man 2 once on it and it looked soooo streched, I couldn't handle it. Is there any tricks that I've missed? On your footage it isn't looking too bad.
This is running on the laptop, no way to use it with the PS5 (unless stretching it or using the black bars)
@@SpawnPoiint Ahh, I see that makes sense. Would be nice if Sony came up with ultrawide support on the PS5 since a lot of people are using ultrawide displays nowadays, especially for single player games.

Yeh I get that, I've got used to the 27", but personally find 32" perfect for my use.
If it had a glossy screen id buy it right now. These guys arent realizing how many customers they losing with their stupid anti glare coating that do nothing but distort the true OLED color.
What’s the difference between this monitor, and the LG 34GS95QE? Right now I’m between these two but haven’t been able to find anything on if one is better than the other, besides the fact that the Asus one is having HDR issues.
I want to build a PC at one point. But thinking about getting this for work and maybe I will connect the PS5 to it.
