Hello, wish you have very great day, your video is really great, but there are some details that are not really clear, I have a few questions that I hope you can help answer: firstly, what tool or device do you use to split the Sata port that 1 SSD hard drive can be used for a large number of motherborards, and secondly, can I use the usb to download mining programs like ETH or Raven coin? and finally, the process of downloading and flashing the Raptoreum mining program from Laptop to USB or SSD is the same as the process of downloading and flashing other coin mining programs such as RVN, ETTH, ... from Laptop to USB or SSD, right ? Thank you very much for answering my questions.
A couple tips I've got from building a couple cpu rigs. If you need a gpu just to setup the rig in bios or if your motherboard has problems running headless, 1gb or 2gb cards like the gt 710 are fairly cheap and in stock everywhere. There's cheaper ones than those out there too. Also if you have endless problems with getting sata ssd's to work with hiveos (like I have) get an m.2 ssd and give that a try if your motherboard has an m.2 port. Just make sure you've got an m.2 USB adapter like from amazon to flash hiveos to it.
Even though the small m.2 drives are a bit more expensive than the small sata SSDs, I definitely prefer them. 2 less cables to run and don't need to find a spot to store the SSD. If you have to move rigs, this also prevents drives from getting mixed up.
@@RabidMining Some mobo have an option to skip the VGA check. My B550 MSI had an option like this (wouldn't want to boot, but after actived skip VGA check, it booted normally. :)) Also, yeah, had some issue here with HDD/SSD when i had any GPU (only RTX 3xxx?) it would be either stuck at a black screen after the grub selection, or blocked at loading nvidia drivers... I had issue with a pico and never used them again was a basic gpu rig no cpu mining thing was so hit it burnt me
Which pico were you using?
@@RabidMining I have it somewhere ill take a pic and send it to you on discord. Its one of the basic ones of parallel miner what it looked like though. In case i cant find it god knows where i put because i wasn't going to use it again.
Hey man, good job. I would like to know, how do you connect several MB in a single source? Another question, how much does Hiveos charge you for each MB rig?
Cpu rig is 30 cents per month in hiveos.
Can I also use GPU to mine on this cpu mining rigs?
yes you can
@@RabidMining wow that's cool, sorry to ask but if that is possible then why are you not using any GPUs on even one of your cpu mining rig ? just curious.. is there any issue coming ?
hello sir i am sorry for bothering you too much becuase i really want to build my own raptoreum mining rig but iam stucking with a lot of problem so can i ask question that can i run only cpu mining rig without gpu ? and when you do need a gpu for your mining rigs ? and is it for update and set up Bios ? In addition, do you need 1 gpu per motherboard or you just need 1 gpu use for your whole mining rig ? and would you like recommend me some of budget motherboard that suitable for only cpu mining rig without vga ?
just need 1 to set up each rig depending on the MB some wont boot without a GPU.
@@RabidMining thank you very much for your kindness that you spend your precious time answering my question i really appreciate that i have many youtube account and all of them already subscribe your channel
@@RabidMining what vga model you are using to set up your rig program (bios, drivers,…) ? And do you need to update the bios for your mainboard and drivers for your vga ?
ASRock Rack has M.2 VGA I Want it sooooooooooo bad at least 5 of those
I am always getting "High Load Avg." in HiveOs..... Using your settings. What s the problem here? Thanks
That is just fine as your mining with the CPU so its working harder
Is the Ryzen 3.8ghz 3900x up to par with the 4.6ghz version
what's the 4.7gh version the XT? not recommended to use any of the CPUs while heavy OCing you loos a ton of efficiency
@@RabidMining Thank you sir. I found a used 3.8ghz for 355. Thinking that’s a steal
Can you have these gpu minting at the same time ?
Yes you can mine with both if you would like
After seeing those stand offs, It makes me wanna design some cool looking standoffs, feel free to drop some ideas. I’ll give it a go tomorrow and upload it on thingiverse.
Something with Rabid Mining in it or the symbol lol
And make them glow in the dark. That would be fun to see in he dark with the RGB colours from coolers.🤘🏼
@@RabidMining check your Twitter I’ve posted some progress
I9 10900k which miner to use?
?
How can we overclock cpu in hiveos??
gotta use the bios
Hi Rabid I have been meaning to ask. Can I have a rig of 6 or 7 gpu and mine with a ryzen 9 3950x?
Yes you can
Great vid as always 👍What price would you say is a sweet spot for whole 3900x(new) rig?
Around 1k CAD
I was able to get everything for around $650 US looking for used hardware
I'm wondering if the rise of cpu mining is temporary. And if not, do you now prefer cpu mining over gpu mining. Plz let me know guys I'm really curious
I have been CPU mining for a long time just RTM has a break out and being noticed
Why you mine Raptoreum intead of Monero?
Because you make dollars and not cents a day.also the yield is really good and rtm priced really low -> great potential for great gains in the future
More profits.
hi ! from where , you buy you cpu's ?
I have links to where I get them in my description
@@RabidMining thx,
what do you think about ryzen 9 5950x with msi B550 a-pro,16 go ram ? thx
may be good for a cpu mining ?
Is it worth watercooling your cpu?
Air is cheaper and better for mining.
Air is cheaper and better for mining.
The cable management and assembly of the boards give me OCD .....damn man take some time to allign everything it's easier to coold things down after that lol :P
lol yup one day will be going threw it all
So lets say with one 5950x how much raptorium could you make a day ?
Depends how you run it hashrate is constantly going up so maybe 400 to 500 a day
@@RabidMining So how many AMD processors are you running to get 9000 a day ?
@@Upstatecashew no longer getting that much now that was when the network hash was only at 5mh we are over 22mh now.
@@Upstatecashew no longer getting that much now that was when the network hash was only at 5mh we are over 22mh now.
What you mine with this cpurigs?
Raptoreum, Haven, Monero, Veruscoin, bunch of others out there.
@@RabidMining thanks👍
Ty
So your ROI is what?... 3 or 4 years?
Depends when you started RTM it was only a 2 to 3 month roi now over a year a bit.
Rabid what is your opinion about Xeon cpus for mining?
depends on the coin for L3 cache coins like RTM and Haven still arnt to great.
dont recommend server psu + bunch of PICO converters, the cheap ones may have reliable issue.
Cheap Corsair PSU will do the trick or any reputable bronze PSU
top!
Is cpu mining really profitable?
Depends on the cpu and coin you mine.3900x with raptoreum definitly yes
yup depends on your set up and what you are mining have done a few CPU profit videos.
Not on intel, no
@@myjpkl can you tell where to check currently which cpu given higher hashrate
SSD Cheap kingston SA400 series are sh1t, i had 2 out of 5 failed on me, get the slightly more expensive kingston stuff ie Hyper X
I keep reading, and being told, there is no profit in CPU mining. :/
let those people saying and writing that keep doing it so the rest of us remain profitable lol specially after GPUs die at the end of ETH.
@@RabidMining When ETH mining goes my gpu will have nothing to mine with any profit as I did a lookup on whattomine and I have 4 choices with feathercoin already would cost more to mine than my electrical bill. With the prices of GPUs I may just go back to gaming as those Zen 5 chips sound damn yummy. My 1600 is going on 5 years old so time to upgrade which means this motherboard can be relegated to something else and will work with 3xxx CPUs with a UEFI upgrade.
