    This video has explained the offset perfectly! I just leveled my Ranger with my Eibach coilovers and lifted the front 2.5” and slapped on some 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks. But now i see that i need offset wheels, but never really understood how it worked. But this video helped and I will be purchasing some offset wheels this weekend. Maybe going +0 just to poke out a lil.

      @@becominghuman9068 If you are mostly going to use it on the roads and highways you might want to look at adjustable shocks so that your more comfortable when driving on roads and highways so that you can adjust it to being firm. The fox shocks are a good brand but can be expensive. Stage 1 won’t be adjustable so you will have to have the same comfort ride both road and offroad. Thanks man. I have a 2inch tough dog 9 stage adjustable lift kit but with king springs front and fulcrum leafs rear 300kg comfort as I don’t have a load all the time. I can adjust my tough dog stiffness and softness depending on where I’m going off-road or just highway. Usually on the way to the place I would set it in stiffness for the highway and when I get to the off-road I’ll turn it back to soft plus deflate my tyre psi.

    I thought the max offset you could run legally in Australia is +30 on a Ranger otherwise you exceed the max allowable 50mm wider track than factory? You have extended your track by 86mm which will put extreme load on your wheel bearings.

    • @4X4JUMPMAN
      @4X4JUMPMAN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t actually seen or read the policy on the legal offset for a Ford Ranger in Australia. Have you got a copy or you only heard about it? Not sure why King Wheels Australia would sell a +12 offset if it’s illegal. I think as long as you have a fender flare that covers the tires would be ok..as long as it’s not over the top. I don’t think it would be extreme load on the bearings..but I think there is some load…extreme would be for a negative offset.

    • @richardwalsh5570
      @richardwalsh5570 ปีที่แล้ว

      As above true. Legally in Australia nationally you can only increase total wheel track by 50 mm. Not worth risking your insurance company saying no.

    • @4X4JUMPMAN
      @4X4JUMPMAN  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check on the back of you wheel for the offset but you may need to remove it. Otherwise check the manufacturer website for wheel size and offset of your wheel. To get 33 on 18 inch rims is a different size tyre for a 20inch rim. The 18 will have a bigger profile than the 20inch rim. If you want to go off road better to get 18 with bigger profile. 18 you need a profile of 65 and 20 you need profile of 55 which are both just under 33 inch. 18 has a slighter bigger height.
