One of the greatest series on the television they will not get any shows to beat this it’s 100% true classic really years of wonderful entertainment for all the family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Anyone who feels down and fed up, especially with the way things are in the world at the moment. My advice is to watch a good vintage comedy like this one, and i can pretty much guarantee you will feel better. A great way to escape from it all.
I lost interest in LOTSW after Bill Owen passed away, but have watched all of the episodes with Compo dozens of times and still love them. By far my favourite program of all time.
I loved this episode. My favourite trio were Compo, Clegg and Foggy. Other favourite characters were Nora, Wally, Ivy Edie, Wesley, Eli, Smiler and Alvin
Nora Batty is fascinating. Her hats are amazing, she must have a room full of them. It as a retired hairdresser I am a bit puzzled. She has her hair in curlers, but when she’s in a hat her hair is smoothed flat. Fun characters all of them.
I screamed with laughter when Smiler got drunk on Auntie Wainwright's homemade wine. Staggering around the worse for wear, he called her Bora Natty! I was doubled up with laughter.
I love Wesley! Any episode with Wesley is a favorite 👏👍he doesn’t get enough recognition- married to Edie and BIL to Seymour!! Poor suffering Wesley Pegdon 😂
"Blamire was political, and snobbish, Foggy was military....er sort of, mainly a teller of tall tales, and very domineering, Seymour was an inventor....er sort of, and a know it all, Truly was cop....er,sort of and had sordid stories of his profession similar to Foggy's, and all the others who came and went with their quirks and hangups, a great British comedy and a great in any country it is shown."-🤗. 🌐📻🌐.
reason was Brian Wilde got replaced very quickly because of illness and Frank Thornton was meant to last 6 eps. series 19 does still have Foggy plotlines
Last Of The Summer Wine from 1973 was the Best Funniest Greatest TV Show Sitcom on BBC. Since Compo Bill Owen Died it’s Not The Same Sitcom without Compo
Those in charge at the BBC didn't have to like the show themselves, but they should have shown respect for the audience. If it pleases and is successful, then it can't be wrong. The cancellation of the series was wrong.
I taped the original of this when it first aired. I notice on this and the DVD, the last lines between Seymour and Clegg are slightly different, and the dub is more obvious!
TrojanThugMusic ..Omg..I'm just the opposite..I know he's a character in a show..but I seriously dislike him...I just wish Compo or Clegg..would tell him to go Stuff IT... and I'm being nice..lol. just can't stand him..
Original:Seymour: 'When Jessie gets her Gough back she'll be so relieved she'll reach out her hand'.Clegg: 'Straight for his throat'.It flows better than the dub shown on UKTV, and it sounds more natural.
Barry's new suit looks just as ill-fitting as his old one. 7:50 Pearl's drab, sensible dress looks like the Wicked Witch of the West's outfit; just dye it black. 22:57 another character-appropriate costume: Marina's outfit is bright, short and tarty lol.
This was such a wonderful series!!! Somebody, please, PLEASE make a new series with new actors (since most of the original seem to be deceased) with scripts that are at least of the same quality if not better!!! PLEASE!!!
Just once I wanted the men to have a go at the women, stopped their wives hitting them by grabbing their hands and reminding them that men were physically stronger. Howard should have grabbed Pearl and reminded her that he paid for the house while she sat at home!
I guess its me but that Gough person is just a little too creepy. I wish the episodes with Foggy were in watchable condition, hes my favorite but the quality is do bad they aren't watchable.
started watching these older shows and love them
I love this show I've been looking at it for over30 years

Right on, just how I feel tonight, so what better then LOTSW
I love this show been looking at it for over 30 years
Used to watch this with an old friend that passed away. Brings back great memories
So true, keep them alive.
Sorry for your loss ❤
I love and enjoy all these shows . Everyone so good.
I don't know how many times I 've seen these series. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this show every time.
Dame thora hird is a legend.. ❤❤ lovely british actress for over 70 plus years
Thora Hird playing Thora Hird.
😊
I loved her in Meet the Wife. I wish they had made more episodes of that show.
This will always be my favorite show.
I really enjoyed these shows Compo is amazing
I love Compo. My favorite show
All the ladies looked so pretty.
Yes, especially for once, Nora's hat. It looked bridal.
Love this show makes me smile 😃

Personally Compo, Clegg and Seymour were my favourite trio. But I also loved Compo, Clegg and Foggy as well.
Don't forget Entwhisler
Side splittingly funny! When the toast was made to the happy couple, Compo drank the sherry and burped. Seymour's face was an absolute picture!
Fgfgj
Love this show!
Cardew Robinson a fabulous comic. This was his last role and what gem it is. He must have been about 80 or more. One of my favourite episodes
It was never the same without Compo. When I got the d.v.ds I stopped when Compo died. Compo made the show.
He did.
Me too.
I loved all
Correct

I didn't like Blamire, no personality. Loved the policemen, Entwhistler, Alvin etc
I’m in tears remembering my heritage. My great grandfather in Reeth. ❤
This what we do in the heavens above.

It's also good to see Frances Cox in a softer role here, unlike her part as Miserable Mrs Parslow in open all hours.
What devotion to Nora .😂love them
I taped the original of this when it first aired. I notice on this and the DVD, the last lines between Seymour and Clegg are slightly different, and the dub is more obvious!
i remember 11 episodes on vhs luxury now only about 6/7 on dvd never put 2 parters together.
Happy and healthy to those watching on Christmas day 2020
Thanks. You Too👍😊👍❤

hideous monsters et me brainpan
very good very good best series in the world :)
That Pearl scrubs up well! I watched an episode today of her dressed up like marina, and she looked very nice!
TrojanThugMusic.Yea I saw that episode...these writers , they missed so many opportunities for Pearl to confront that stupid husband..
Hmmm, or maybe she could have even confronted Marina, like, "find your own damn husband you slapper!"
TrojanThugMusic ....seriously...lol. so many times I wished I could jump into the screen...oh what characters. great show though..
Yeah my all time fave character has to be Foggy Dewhurst when he'd bore people to the point of running off, with his war stories.
TrojanThugMusic ..Omg..I'm just the opposite..I know he's a character in a show..but I seriously dislike him...I just wish Compo or Clegg..would tell him to go Stuff IT... and I'm being nice..lol. just can't stand him..
Poor Kleggy. It must kill him to see all that wedded bliss. The first episode began with him visiting his wife's freshly-dug grave.
Remember when 🤗
Were are 50 years gone, seems like yesterday.
Simply the best.ever.?…
Yours is the best shows, I hate it when a video is on the corner of the screen.
Norman's house was so beautiful
Best show ever
Love them sooooo
beautiful
I met the actor who played Melvin, a really charming man who hated been over weight and spent u\years trying thinner only to loose his role.
Melvin? Do you mean Milburn (Crusher)?
The very last words between Seymour and Clegg were re-dubbed slightly on this video. Supposedly the original tape was damaged in the early 90's.
Original:Seymour: 'When Jessie gets her Gough back she'll be so relieved she'll reach out her hand'.Clegg: 'Straight for his throat'.It flows better than the dub shown on UKTV, and it sounds more natural.
ah Cardew the cad he was in late 50s
Briĺliant comedy.
Eli always made me laugh
Seymour is really mean to Compo even though he gets him to do all the things he is unable to do.
the only difference between me and compo is my wellingtons leak
Do you have his blue suit.?😂
"Eees the rongaage"....... said Nora Batty
I like to think we ll all meet again someday
I'd love to find the very last episode but I can't find it anywhere. The very last words belong to Clegg of "Did I lock the door?"
This ones more hilarious then usual 😂🤣. Jesus saves
jesus saves s&h green stamps Buck
Also Howard, Pearl and Marina
I love it when thay runaway
Barry's new suit looks just as ill-fitting as his old one. 7:50 Pearl's drab, sensible dress looks like the Wicked Witch of the West's outfit; just dye it black. 22:57 another character-appropriate costume: Marina's outfit is bright, short and tarty lol.
Half the picture missing
Henry Bearse that is the only to get them on TH-cam. The jerks at the BBC do their best to get them removed immediately.
A R - thats a shame.
Omg they put him in a dumpster!!! 😝
*Will thee pass me an Ale Compo?*
Is that 60s singer 'Tiny Tim' playing Gough? Looks like him.
No he died in America.
It,s Cardew robinson
Did anybody notice Jessie was wearing an old Nora batty hat?
lois laurel wore one as well daughter of Stan Laurel
This was such a wonderful series!!! Somebody, please, PLEASE make a new series with new actors (since most of the original seem to be deceased) with scripts that are at least of the same quality if not better!!! PLEASE!!!
There are loads that could take over.😊
@@jaynestag95 Could you name a few? Every time I think of someone that I think might be a good choice I discover that they are already deceased.
Maybe Howard should have suggested polygamy to Pearl and Marina. Howard, Pearl and Marina.
Sush fun wathing this 1
Howard is like pinnochio, his nose keeps growing longer and longer
The best of British comedy. just a too close up upload. Out of sync.
Just once I wanted the men to have a go at the women, stopped their wives hitting them by grabbing their hands and reminding them that men were physically stronger. Howard should have grabbed Pearl and reminded her that he paid for the house while she sat at home!
Audrey Foster Telling outlook to your view on male/female relationships. No wonder you keep complains about the women on this show. Lol
Sat at home?? a hard working housewife doesn't sit at home...
💕💕💕🌴
I always thought Marina.looked like a TRANSVESTITE😂
It's the hair.
Lily Savage took tips from her, bless her soul, sadly missed.
Aye thee's reet thy noz
gough and jessie were jessies
seymour "Zeebra crossing" surely "Zedbra crossing"
I guess its me but that Gough person is just a little too creepy. I wish the episodes with Foggy were in watchable condition, hes my favorite but the quality is do bad they aren't watchable.
Eli done a Del Boy before Del Boy.
The corrupters.
Hahahahahahaah they stole him
First of the summer was good as well as, younger foggy and clegg.
,
The person doing the sub-titles should listen to the dialogue, some of the words are stupid and don't fit the story
howard reminds me of a weasel
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Some of theese lines are cracking
I like the earlier series but the later ones after compo died are rubbish
Terrible cropping. Unwatchable
Nice try, but a bad recording, and too much zooming.
Is Glenda blind not to no if the suit is to small
bitter old bags
Thomas L
just curious. Is Norman Gay?
No he's a batchalor 😊
@@jaynestag95 actually he was a widower
but he has become more timid over the years
