Nearly all started on the stage in 50s moved to tv 60 and 70s or studied under old stage actors. We must keep theatres open if today’s youth. Want quality in the future. But alas I don’t see enough of today’s youth. Interested in learning a craft or having any attention span. 5 mins and move onto something else. If it’s not flashing on a phone. They get bored.
@@garygalt4146 I’m not trying to sound nasty but you have zero clue what your on about why paint a whole group of people with one brush. I agree with you on the whole but I’m 17 myself and I work as a welder in a working yard I work 11 hr days near enough non stop and I know many people my age who are they same. Lol. Nora wears Alvin out. She always have good comebacks to his goforwards. Those two flirt with each other in the cutest way. They’re my favorite characters.

It's lovely that you want to put these episodes on TH-cam, butt why the hell do you not put them on TH-cam in better quality. There's nothing wrong with that
Why dont the women ever comment on the fact that their husbands were the ones who provided them with houses and money. They all live in nice properties.
Because growing up after the war life was extremely hard for the women/wives keeping the home. No washing machines so hand washing all your clothes. Using a mangle (see episode on moving the mangle) beating the rugs to remove dust and dirt. Boiling buckets of water and bringing in the tin bath once a week so that all the family had one bath a week. If your husband was a miner you would have to bath him every night. When he got home from work. The wife had to scrub his back clean. So a house was a partnership equal hard work. They didn’t drive the kids to school in a 4x4 then off to the Gym in full make up and designer clothes, lunch with the girls the feet up watching daytime tv.

This show is entertaining and I always remember laughing. What great show that is a family show.
Truly the best television that I’ve ever watched. Even the grandkids enjoy the humor even though they don’t pick up on the innuendo .😂
Who needs shows like Friends or The Big Bang Theory when you have a classic show like this.
Watch these episodes daily and never get bored fab
veryveryveryvery
I’m watching it every day and it’s never enough
Laughing like crazy .....😀it sure brings light to my boring life
Such a funny show, great characters, beautiful scenery. Just relax and enjoy!
Absolutely wonderful! Love this show. Brilliantly funny! Thank you!
I love this show, it is so funny. Check out that beautiful countryside. Thanks for posting.😃
American comedy is too fast and raucous. The British are masters of double entendre; smooth delivery and perfect comic timing. Great show.

Love this show. My son bought me the entire series.
These programmes mean they are always alive in our eyes and still making us laugh!! :)
@@bettyh4166 GOOD SON..
LOVES HIS MUM ! 👍♥
I miss Eli and Wally
I miss Compo, Foggy, and Sid more. I do miss Wally, but he had limited appearances.
The Brits seem to find the perfect actors. I cannot imagine such a series being made in America about older people.

How about the odd couple
Americans could never do the gentle humor. They'd have to make it crass...like The Golden Girls.
Love, Love this show and it's characters! Thank you so much!

Never saw an episode before with the character, Alvin.
I wish these were in the original 4:3 format instead of the stretched-out 16:9; parts of the picture are missing.
R.I.P Howard 1925-2021
Little Orphan Howard (12 April 2002)
BBC America: 7 June 2002
R.I.P entwhistle .many great films but I think I will always think of the man from hull who changed his name from MacIntyre cause people thought he was foriegn .
My man from Tenko!
I think he also was Kato in the Green Hornet TV Shows.
David Smith that was Bruce lee bro
Good job thank you from Charlotte nc jay GOD BLESS
21st Century, we love this shows
Couldn't see all of what was written on the paper at the beginning of episode, which upset ugly Nora Batty
Bh/y6
I wish that they would put this back on tv
It's on the channel Gold usually
love it
Windswept Maria & blonde hairs on Howard's funeral suit , only in Yorkshire.
I never could stand the Miss Davenport character. Always on the edge of hysterical, no matter what she was talking about. Exhausting.
When Alvin asks Nora if she'd ever had a "giddy" she wistfully said , No. It felt like she was sad that she had to say no
Probably remembering the gumboots guy that died
Pearl is such a shrew no wonder Howard is stepping out with Marina.
She might be a shrew because of his stepping out.

LOVE THE TITLE OF "BOMB POT " 👍😁
I think it's "balm pot", likely derived from "going balmy".
Hmmm, i thought they were saying “barn pot”, interesting 🤔
its too bad this is zoomed in so much, you miss most of the picture and whats going on.
Thanx 😊
how long is "Dembee street" everyone seemed to have lived there. lol
ee lad, memories go back longer than length of street
Brilliant

There was a series made when they were boys, I wish there was video of that series
First of the summer wine. You can find it here on TH-cam.

how do zobbin dobbers vob when they are hobnobbing with knob hoppers?
I. Like it
Love Howard. He gets his own back on the horrible Pearl!!
Berry's parents were never talked about or mentioned. I think he was actually very close to his in-laws.
It’s Barry. A Berry is on a tree.
Maybe he was an orphan. :-)
They did mention Barry's mother on the episode where he married Glenda, she was living then.
I don't understand why pearl is so dislike she takes alot from Howard since he fool's around in front of her but she is house and taken care of✔️
94 dislikes get a life..
Anybody know what the sign at the beginning says?
"IF YOU WANT ME I'M AT THE OTHER END"
Tbh I'd done the same as smiler and Mr seminite 😂 what they did to the cops talking
