This has me all excited for my local series to announce next year's schedule. Can't wait to try my hand at some woods racing. Loving your videos Soup, keep it up!
I just bought that same bike, so I really enjoyed your video. And congrats! You did really well. I don’t plan on racing but it’s nice to know that it has capabilities beyond my abilities. Thanks so much!
im so glad there’s actually someone on here with relatable skills(no offence) and isnt a pro but is just bashing that scramble out great work and keep up the vids
None taken! And I feel that… trying to find videos of just average riding to kind of get a gauge of what this would be like (since it was my first harescramble) was a challenge Like you said it’s mostly just videos of pros absolutely annihilating or people just going out and putting around for fun Glad you like the videos!
Wow😮 The CRF2050F is A Very Capable Bike, I guess I totally underestimated its capabilities. Kind of makes Me Proud of owing One. Anyway thank you very much for sharing Your Adventures with Us👍👍
Great riding and great result for your first race! I have only done one race myself but plan to do more next year here in Ohio. My first race was extremely muddy and I had only ridden my new bike a few times so it was a mess but I have been wanting to do another one ever since.
@notsoupmoto It's definitely my favorite place to ride that's close to me mainly because it's bikes only and they have three tracks which I'm going to use to teach my wife how to ride. But the woods loop is fun for sure and there are some challenging parts that they change up every year.
Way to shred it! Awesome! Next up… a GNCC! Hahah gotta at least experience one. If you ever wanna try tearing up a Buddy class with MSXC let me know. We’ll rip it tag team style for the Tube fans
I started riding dort bike within the last 10 months. Got a 98 kdx220 in pieces from a buddy and fully rebuilt it. Its running well and its fun and all, but i think im gonna sell it and get one of these. The big 2 stroke always wants to go and i find myself wanting something a little more predictable, easier to build confidence on
Trying to decide if I sell the old XR400R and get a CRF250F. Afraid I will miss the power of the XR but she is getting old at 28. Hardest thing to learn in this type of racing is don't follow other people's lines constantly or you will never get past them. Blaze new trail and go for it. I rode Mideast Racing in SC & NC on a KTM 200 and 300 then got out of it for a couple of years and raced quads. Just picked up another bike a couple of weeks ago and I know I will end up racing again.
nah it's heavy as hell but that really wasn't a problem. stayed planted, tons of traction. didn't really find any scenarios where I'd need more power except straightaways. solid bike for the amount of a disadvantage it was at
I bought this bike because of you I’m 14 5’11 and about 140 lb and this bike handles me great. I have had no complaints I’ve jumped it done a tone of single track and is so comfortable. I was thinking to mabye do some racing like this once I get better, is the bike capable enough?
It’s 100% capable for harescramble racing. The good thing about the harescramble format is you can really just go at your own pace and let the faster people go by if you get tired. Just keep practicing and once you feel you’re ready to tackle the type of terrain at your particular event you’ll be good to go! I recommend going out while you’re practicing and seeing how long you can ride without stopping. The scrambles are 2 hrs long Edit: that being said, although it’s capable, the crf250f is definitely at a disadvantage bike wise compared to the actual xc race bikes
1st is un-useable except for the really tight hair pin turns but I'd say i'm mostly in 2nd or 3rd unless it's a really fast straight section. I actually started in gear in 2nd. pulled fine for me off the start
Physically probably not as good as I should have. Basically just laid off the beer for a week haha. No but honestly no training other than riding as much as possible. As far as mental, it was my first harescramble ever plus I was gonna be on a bike at a disadvantage anyway so going into it my only goal was to finish the two hours and have fun.
@@quinn3722 that's the ideal way to do it! that's how I used to prepare for track meets back in the day. good luck with your race! you also doing a scramble?
@@notsoupmoto I’m doing the ixcr series its in Indiana and it kind of seems like a scramble from this video your Woods seem a lot more open fast paced. This is more technical, creek, and mud nasty stuff id say its definitely more technical but does still have some open fast pace sections.
Ride ability, solid bike, very good rider, and fitness go a long way in helping this gentleman. Looks like he had a blast!
was a super fun race!
You keeping up with those enduro bikes 🔥🤟
Hell yeah man the crf really surprised me honestly
Such a fun time!
@@notsoupmoto never doubt the 250f lol

Awesome, You and Your Crf2050f Were Both Fantastic, You definitely held Your own. Thank You Very Much For Sharing 👍

Beautiful course!
it was super fun!

Thanks! Congrats on the bike
Awesome. I know it's not a race bike but it looks like it held its own. Good skills go a long way too.
It surely did! And I had a blast racing it too
I keep saying it but it’s just such a fun bike to ride
Really nice riding and a great result for you first harescramble!
Thanks!

Appreciate it! I’m the same way. Had such a fun time can’t wait to do another one
@notsoupmoto Have you been to Battlesburg MX? They have a really nice track and a five mile woods loop that I have been using to practice.
I have not actually
I’ll have to check it out sometime!

Heck yea! It’s so nice to see people showing the capabilities of the 250f.
Glad you enjoyed!!
Awesome ride! Did you catch back up to the guy in orange? You both were making some nice passes.
thanks man!
I'm pretty sure I got by him on the last lap
He was slicing and dicing!
This was fun as hell to watch! 250f can hang in there with a capable pilot. Well done 👍🏻
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it
He is one of my favorites. Keeps it simple plus I have the same bike😁
😎love the crf
Well done! Loved and was rooting for you to reel in the “next” one 😊.
Curious , what gear you were in the technical spots?
Thanks! I was mainly in 2nd and 3rd the whole time. 2nd in the more technical spots
I'm doing my first Hare Scramble next month on a mostly stock 230F. You're flying on the 250. Thanks for sharing and keep it up!
Best of luck to you! Have fun on that thing!
Well done man!
Appreciate it brother!
very well done!!!
Thank you!
I bet you hurt a lot of feelings that day. Lol nice job.

Looks like it’s been as dry in Ohio as here in PA. Dust be crazy. Great ride man. 👍
Yup definitely was!

Predictable and easy to build confidence on is definitely the crf!
That KDX would be a cool bike too. Kudos on the rebuild
Dude you kick ass
thanks man!
Nice job 👍

if the 400 still runs, I'd keep on rippin it! but the new 250fs are nice for sure
Great to know what the CRF250F is capable of with a good rider
Thanks!
That Honda crf 250 F did good thanks to the rider
My buddy did even better on his in A class!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Is your bike totally stock? Any suspension or motor work?
completely stock other than the bar pad and hand guards
Is it really light and flickable? Did it have you wishing for more power?
nah it's heavy as hell but that really wasn't a problem. stayed planted, tons of traction. didn't really find any scenarios where I'd need more power except straightaways. solid bike for the amount of a disadvantage it was at
More racing please ❤
Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed this one!
