- The new 2025 BSA Scrambler is now a reality!
Here We visit the BSA Motorcycle stand at Motorcycle Live 2022 at the NEC in Birmingham UK, to have a look at the brand new BSA Scrambler 650 prototype and the BSA Goldstar 650 Motorcycles!
The NEW BSA Scrambler 650 was revealed at MCL 2024 and we LOVE it!
The prototype has no pointy plastics, proper right way up forks! A wrapped exhaust, 650cc, single cylinder thumper 4 stroke, stunning looks, cool as a cucumber! This gets our vote! How much has changed from the prototype to the production bike? Full review coming soon!
There's a lot of scramblers to choose from from many manufacturers, but BSA have got it just right! Less is more! Rather than dump a catalogue of accessories and parts on it, they have kept it minimalistic and artistic!
We also look at the BSA Goldstar and try it out for size. It's also a great looking modern classic motorcycle and eventually...we will get to ride it and give you our full review in our usual top production quality!
It was great to meet many of our viewers and say hello too!

Before anyone gets too exited BSA needs to get the bike out to dealers and the public. So far all talk no action!
Could not agree more! that Scrambler is mint! I really love what BSA are doing.. proper looking motorcycles with class
I wasn’t all that impressed with the Goldstar, but that scrambler… Wow!
I couldn't have said it better.

Some people have criticized this new BSA, mainly it's the single cylinder and the radiator that puts people off. For me, I agree with the Ol'Man. They are not supposed to be replicas, but they do look in keeping with the old BSA. The scrambler is a good looking bike. It will be interesting to see what 47hp feels like in the real world. I'm guessing that, as a thumper, it should feel quite fast around the back lanes or around town.
45 hp is more than needed around town, you'll only feel the need to be on a bigger bike if you were going on the motorway for more than 20 minutes.
The "Scrambler" had plastic trims down each side, which tidied up the edges of the radiator rather well. It didn't detract from the look because of it's intended style.
@@phoenix3580 45bhp is probably a sweet spot. Those who've had a Bonneville restricted for A2 have reported it to be entirely rideable for the most part.
I think the criticism of the radiator & downpipe is valid on a bike that you'd only buy on looks, given that it can't compete on anything else. But l agree, this version can't (lMO) be criticised on looks, it's bang on, l like it a lot. I still wouldn't buy one simply because of the BSA badge, I wouldn't buy a Benelli or Fantic either, l work hard for my money & the smoke & mirrors marketing turns me off, honestly, if they'd set up a stand alone company & gone from scratch l could buy into it.
@@saltaireorangebicyclechopp8555 I get what you are saying. It is like the remake of The Italian Job. I have no intention of ever watching that shite either.
My grandfather was an electroplater and he chromed all the tanks etc for BSA IN THE 50’s! Every time I see one I think, “my grandad did that!” 😊
Your grandad did the best chroming ive ever seen on a bike. Im a metal polisher by trade and the original BSA chrome had copper and nickel plating i do believe under thick chrome that was still amazing without rust on my 1955 gold flash 650.Sadly they dont make them so well now and even harleys at the high price have awful chrome however my 1996 Triumph 900 Daytona had good chrome.
@@Ian-bq7gp yeh, they don’t make ‘em like they used to! His apprenticeship was years, like a degree and the certificate is massive, like A1 and really elaborate. He was very proud of it. They obviously took great pride in their profession back then!
I’m a doctor and my degree is small and innocuous, means a lot to me though!
Most wholesome yt chat!
Wow! The BSA Scrambler looks fabulous. Deserves much success, and hopefully other manufacturers will re-learn what purposeful really means.
Both bikes do but they need to strike while there is interest. I worry they are dragging their feet a bit and they do have potential.
I've had several scramblers. I do like the BSA. I would of made the rear fender a few inches longer, in fear of backward showers and debris.
Brings me back to 1970 and my old 650 Thunderbolt.
I just cant explain how much I love this motorcycle. Those convenient footpegs, flat handlebars, seats, tank everything is awesome in this scrambler.

I have a Triumph 900 Street Scrambler which I still love and this BSA gives me the same feeling I had when I saw the Triumph. I'm already sold and my deposit money is ready. I'll be a two Scrambler guy soon. Congratulations to BSA's design team... They seem to have gotten it right. 👏😍
I never forgot my first bike. A 1969 BSA 500cc twin. Simple, reliable, and just fast enough. Glad to see BSA is still alive ! 🏍
Sticking a badge that says BSA on an Indian bike doesn't make it a BSA, it's a mahindra, BSA built their last bike in 1972 and ceased trading in 1978.
Sam Brooks, i agree. They will never build great frames and finish them as well. Its like the later mk2 royal enfield interceptors built in the uk that were great bikes and were better engines than the Norton Commandos and Triumph bonnevilles of the day. BSA had problems with the timing side bush on the crankshafts and sadly they didnt sort it out however SRM engineering in Penarth Dock Swansea did a timing side bearing conversion with oil end fed on the crankshaft that sorted out the bottom end. It couldve been a great, reliable bike that saved them if sorted but its like their B25 250cc bikes, the styling was lovely but the motor was unreliable.
It's good to see the BSA brand still alive and breathing. I owned a 650 Thunderbolt in 1971 which I took to Europe from Jersey and rode around France, Spain and Portugal. Plenty of fond memories from those times.
The bsa brand has been dead since 1978 this is a mahindra.
@@sambrooks7862 they have bought other brands as well such as jawa and yezdi
@@Hsp44 I know, mahindra are a huge global presence. I still stand by my original comment, regardless of how good this bike is, my guess would be not very, it is not a bsa.
Gaiters on forks, headlamp grille, nice bars and basic design with what seems like a good motor, nice anologue clocks. Well done to new BSA. Its not a patch on the lovely old BSAs especially my favourite the 1949 rigid framed A7 with girder forks, the most beautifully styled bike ever made in my opinion. A basic bobber with a utilitarian motor built for real world economy and torque with a simple engine to work on. A twin with timing side bush changed to bearing with a good oil feed and unit gearbox. It could be done a bit like the kawasaki w1 or w2 of the late 1960s which is a great machine with a sorted motor based on the original A7 BSA.
I think both the Scrambler and the gold star are fantastic looking bikes! And for me seeing you on your feet enjoying that show with your Son was a blessing! Can't wait for your channel's ride & review
it would be nice if it came into production.... BSA not yet in OZ to my knowledge... cheers Muz from OZ
I was at MCL today, and when I saw that, I thought wow ! I haven’t been a great fan of scramblers, but that could definitely change my mind!
Thank you for a no fluff and straight to the point video. Would have preferred 850 CC from BSA. Currently ride a 650 and it feels a little under powered
It's great to see you up and moving on 2 feet but don't overdo it. I do hope BSA makes a comeback as well.
Looks beautiful ❤️ Mahindra is reviving BSA again good to see that...Indian brands are reviving old legendary brands ❤️
It's a pity that the AJS name has already been grabbed by a Chinese bike maker. An Indian company could have brought back AJS with a passion.
@@Jonathan-L Atleast Vincent & Excelsior have been taken by Bajaj. Hopefully something interesting comes out in the future
@@Jonathan-LAJS is British owned. The bikes might be built in China but they produce good quality well built 125cc bikes at a reasonable price.
@@kyakaruvlogs2784 there's no official statement yet about what Bajaj intends to do with Excelsior and Vincent.
@@ayush67675 Yes but why would someone spend money for doing nothing
As an American in my late 50s, I remember BSA as a kid. They were everywhere. I was shocked to see this video and had to Google BSA to learn about the new company. That scrambler is what a motorcycle should look like. It's beautiful. Hopefully it is reliable. I'm happy bikes like this exist.
Just don't make the mistake that this is a BSA because it really isn't.
It isn't a BSA, it's a mahindra. They bought the bsa badge in 2016 and are simply using the kudos of a long dead British marque to sell their bikes.
@@sambrooks7862 England s might is gone forever. What does it matter if it’s Indian? Were they not British subjects. The Qing were admirers and later copiers of the Han. Some say more Han than the average Han.
Now no one can beat the BSA bikes .
BSA is unstoppable.
Wow! Those BSA really do looks nice!
Love it BSA done their homework
BSA: "DO NOT TOUCH THIS SCRAMBLER!, The Ol' Man: "I TOUCH WHATEVER I DESIRE!"
Great lookin' scrambler indeed!
Jesus give that Pirelli commercial a raise for having Scorpion rally STR on every single new bike ! :D
The scrambler is truely stunning!
That is the dogs. Instantly love the looks. Great job BSA.
Damn it, the Goldstar got me suspicious that they got a real good feeling for proportions and elegant lines. But the Scrambler blows everything out of the water. 100% authentic bike.
Sure agree with you. The scrambler is spot on. Like a proper desert sled, exhaust tucked well in as well. Only way to get better would be to make your own from an old Triumph - this will be much more usable. BSA are really hitting the mark now
A great looking urban scoot, take my money - that is indeed the most stylish scrambler to date.
Totally agree. Look forward to seeing what lights they put on the bike. After a test ride of the new BSA to get to grips with the engine, I expect to see the scrambler in production in 2023. Deposit ready 👌
Right on
Couldn't agree more with the 'Ol Man' saw the 650 BSA Scrambler in the metal at Motorcycle Live and very impressed I was too, lovely looking bike, the only question now is will BSA have the cajones to build it for us ?
We were there last Saturday. Shame we missed you. We too were impressed with the BSA Goldstar and the Scrambler. The latter looked almost production ready 👍. The new RE Super Meteor was impressive - better in the flesh than the pics. Shame they couldn't give us a guide price.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I looked very closely at this bike at Motorcycle Live and I think BSA have some power lifting to do, to match the looks of the Triumph and Fantic scramblers. They really need to address that huge radiator for starters!
OMG, looks beautifully authentic and just has the „wanna have factor“! Thx. BSA…
That looks abolutely sweet! I think they made an error showing that, who would buy a classic when this is in the pipeline.
Well pointed out 👍
Awesome Scrambler 👌
This should be launched globally
It appears BSA has done a super job on styling, all of their bikes look great. As for the best looking Scrambler, I’d still choose the Triumph Scrambler 900cc as the best looking, but perhaps I should see this BSA in person before the final verdict. I suspect the BSA with its 650cc motor will be much cheaper. Thanks again for bringing this nice video to us! Ronny
The BSA seems less 'chunky' than the Triumph so looks a bit more minimalistic which we like
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Yes, it does look great!
That scrambler looks lovely
The Scrambler does look the business. If they release that they'll be selling 'em as fast as they can make 'em!
little side cover for the radiator does wonder... look great the guys have hit a home run
Not mad about 'old' bikes(I ride a Triumph) but that BSA Scrambler is nice !!
nice scrambler!!! and the buttons seemed really stylish , minimalistik
Looking good Old Man! Impressive recovery.
Love the old school lines and classic looks. A very proper machine.
That is the coolest scrambler yet!
Couldn’t agree more. Fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Begging the guys on the stand to get it made. 🤞🏻 Hope the legs healing well 👍🏻
Great video. You appear to be the first scrambler review... Keep up the great work..
Thanks! Yes we do! I don't know why it's gone under the radar!
BSA really need to get with us!
First of all, glad to see you are healing well.
These bikes look fantastic but I really want to see the initial and long term reviews before I would personally commit to buying one.
But the styling is so good I kind of want to throw common sense in the trash and buy one as soon as they are available.
It's exactly a year ago when I sat on the new bsa and was told it would be on sale by spring.... I'm pretty disappointed and they will have lost a lot of customers in that year! I'll not get excited about another bsa until I see it in a dealer with a for sale sign on it!!..... although there's no denying that the scrambler looks amazing....
Scrambler is spot on , lets hope they keep the price down
That is a drop dead gorgeous bike!
Looks stunning! I wouldn't mind a 1300cc V2 in it though, with double the power/torque figures for my 250+ pound frame
Your right on the money. It's a stunner, I'd want one . Be hard to beat. Thanks.
That scrambler is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You're up and about! Well done sir, well done. Nice bike too.
Those new BSA’s do look nice I must say
So nice! Thanks for this vid...
Sometimes less is more, BSA have nailed it.
Yup! That BSA scrambler is gorgeous indeed
I mean...the smaller sibling - a 350 cc under Classic Legends other brand - Yezdi! You can check out reviews online
Very nice that! Loving the looks of the exhaust too.
i like that a lot! please bring it out ASAP!
Lovely looking bike...that radiator or oil cooler up front wont be missed by any stone or stick. Most def have the XT 500 appeal.
I was there on Saturday.
Was quite impressed with the scram
Excellent beautiful looking bike
It's a street scrambler not an old school mud plugger and yes, the 'ol man is right, it looks very nice. I like the two small end cans rather than a big old dustbin that might have been expected.
Scrambler looks spot on, wont be cheap i suspect.
Good to see Ol' Man, literally, back to his feet. The healing process, hopefully, gonna be fast.
I love the way that he, moved by pure enthusiasm, tapped on the saddle of the bike, despite that huge "Don't touch" warning.
That almost "childish" joy, and some good natured irreverence, is what motorcycling is (at least for me) all about. 👍
Take care, do not force to much your healing knee.
Best regards from Brazil. ✌
Thanks buddy. Haha what sign 😇

Can’t wait for the full review
Good job for BSA. The Caballero Rally Explorer is a looker too!
i can see some good looking custom bikes build around the new BSA
I agree with you, the is the most beautiful scram I have ever seen till date
Take note RE, that's how a scrambler looks. Tasty, tasty, very, very tasty.
They are still testing 650 scrambler
That is just great looking
If This bike launch this year I'll buy it for sure ✅
That "do not touch" sign doesn't apply to ledgends 🤣🤘
I LOVE that scrambler- however it seems to me that some of the switches and details certainly wouldnt make it to market. However, if bsa drops a scrambler in the US alongside the gold star i will absolutely be taking a ride on it.
I’m test riding one in the next few weeks can’t wait and already put deposit down for it
Not put off as I have the old ones aswell 😊😊
Yes, those BSAs look bloody awesome 👌🏻
I hope they move the gas cap to the center, so you can use the tank "lock" system bag...
Otherwise, great looking scrambler!
Gold star is beautiful. Looking forward for these bikes to be for sale in the USA
This could be a very interesting choice. Good video lads, keep up the good work!
That is really beautiful!👍👍
I agree except the radiator.
Excellent, can’t wait to see it in the flesh. I think that engine will suit the Scrambler more than the gold star. 😊 thank you 😊
Now that's what i call a scambler.
This and the Fantic Caballero are the best looking scramblers I have seen (Aside from cool self customs)
My only minor criticism is the pipe wrap (Never understood it) but I know some others love that look.
Looks great, like your focus on the mid capacity bikes too.💙💛
I cant wait to watch it in off road scramble races.
The "Do not touch" sign is superfluous.
Yeah I don’t read signs!
Looks great in this form, though what will it look like in production form with number plate hanger, mirrors and indicators as these are often the details that detract from the original concept. Hope it succeeds however.
Forgot to mention I liked the touch of class from your closing music. Very reminiscent of Ennio Morricone's work. Tiime to watch "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" again!
And again, keep working to put the great back in Great Britain, gentlemen!

Thanks buddy
I love it.. what a thumper
Too good!! BSA SCRAMBLER 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I agree the bike is spot on. I love it.
I am impressed BSA scrambler ! Other manufacturers will start scrambling now!
Oh my God!! That looks so cool!! If that bike to prodution it's definitely the better looking!
That looks beautiful
Man thats a nice looking bike..Im not sure where i would even buy a bsa here in canada though..
FINALY! was soooo hyped about this bike coming out (again). It warms my heart you guys like it to :D
i love the exaust design on the scrambler and in general how efficient and functional the desing was kept
