- Just a first impression of the new motorcycles from the BSA / Mahindra company. We have improved Gold Star and a brand new B65 Scrambler. How do those bike look in the flesh and what do I think about them. Check it out.
Update. The viewers reminded me that the yellow is in fact the classic paint scheme known from BSA B44. I knew that bike of course but somehow the new scrambler didn't remind me about that. probably it looked a bit different on aluminium tank, or maybe the tank shape caused that. Don't know but I'm correcting myself. And looking from that perspective it makes sense! Thanks guys for the reminder. The colour scheme comes from that motorcycle: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSA_B44
I saw a BSA 441 when I was a teenager...always thought the yellow and silver tank looked amazing and still do...glad they kept it.
the yellow colour scheme is a nod to the classic b44 unit singles scramblers raced by John Banks and Jeff Smith back in the sixties. the yellow is the retro scheme!
Oh, indeed mate. And of course I saw that paint and that bike. It just looked different on the aluminium tank. But in fact it's a nod. Thanks for reminding me.
It might sell if its priced at 5 grand but knowing BSAs track record it will come in at 6500 to 7 grand. Well for at least 12 month's at least.
we'll see
The yellow looks brilliant. I'd rather have the BSA than the RE Bear. It's a single.
The yellow colour scheme echoes the original Victor 440 style
I don't mind the paint scheme on those scramblers 👍
me neather ;) however I would like sth else more ;)
Agree with you regarding the modern paint-jobs, they're ok but a trad chrome option would have been nice. Same with the Bear. The original Interceptor had a chrome tank, if I'm remembering correctly, and was a scrambler destined for the US market. Hey-ho, it's all academic, as I would have either one in a heartbeat (ideally both 😄)!
Scrape it off.
I am wating to see this bike in India.
i like this bike look was nice
The Gold Star tank is wrong is a mistake. Was better a little tank like in the old scramblers. And than the number in the plate white (side covers) is ridicoulus. Please chance because the motorcycle is really good ! Good Year from the B.S.A. Club of Italy since 1973 !
are you allowed to share the spec sheet in detail, that was visible right at the beginning of the video??
Love a thumper
Nice , is the BSA as good as the RE and all the nice touches on the RE .
I think at the very moment RE is a bit trustworthy in reliability department but not by much
You`re right Stainless Steel, unless BSA have come up with a genius new process,it doesn`t age well.
personally i like the look of the scrambler, and the paint is based on some of the old companies scramblers, maybe they should have got these on sale ages ago as the goldstar looks dull to many people
The yellow colour is based on the old 441 bsa victor,it is a retro colour.
Yep, someone already mentioned that. True and thanks for the reminder
It looks nice but the yellow and gray one being that it’s retro needs to be a little more stripped down.
Has BSA addressed the problems yet for the Gold Star?
Probably not, and I wouldn't buy that bike if I couldn't fix it myself.
The B.M.W. is an iron gate. You need a starway 😅😅😅
So the royal bear or bsa 650 scrambler?
Which of those vs the triumph 400?
I answered that in the "scrambler battle" video
@UncleLongbeard oooooh I'll have to find that...
Они продаются? 😢❤
Your saying that the BSA with the yellow and gray paint scheme is too “modern”but that was the same paint scheme as the 1967 BSA 441 victory special. The white and gray one is modern and ugly. BTW the bear 650 completely kills BSA.
Now, look at the info card in the video and the pinned comment ;) I don't think the bear look better really, but that's more like personal preference. It defo doesn't kill anything
It’s not a modern yellow colour scheme at all. It’s a repo of one of their earlier classics they are paying tribute too duffus.

Howcome much of the discussion in the threads here is about the damn colours of the bike.
Im very skeptical about these repopped BSA-Matchless bikes. RE did ok but the fittings are very lightweight and I cant see them looking good in a decade.
I ride a vintage bike and the fit and finish is just better. And, you can tear it down if need be, not that Ive have to. 30 years of bloody good riding.
But....those bikes cannot be made now.
How come these are not made in England instead of India. I want a British bike not a India bike.
India own the brand.
Yah...cause British made is more realiable than lndian made..
Yes. British made, at British labour costs as well and a pool of oil under it like most of my British bikes in my shed!
😂
I feel the same about RE. I want to say I have a British bike. But then again, just about every British bike left England, even by norton standards.
Ugle bike, like all scramblers.... dont lie yourself chose BMW GSA ;)
🤣 shut up Mr grizzly 😁👍
The B.M.W is an Iron Gate 😅😅😅 and very very expensive
