I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

Thanks for a very informative video on the EufyCam 2 Pro. Can the camera be connected to a computer instead of a cell phone?
If it can be connected to a computer, is WiFi sufficient or is a Ethernet cable required?

Setup was easy and quick. Video is clear. The big selling point to me was it works with Apple HomeKit. Will be buying more cameras in the future.

After spending 300 pounds for less than two years, the battery can't be charged. I think the battery is broken. Call customer service, said that after the warranty period, ignore me, in this use of two years is not very easy to use, a rainy season water fog ran into the camera, simply can not see clearly, so it is not recommended to buy.

    Nice review!
Is there any way to set up a schedule for the cameras - which also will save batterylife? I only want the cameras to be active during night (and not getting triggered when I'm outside during the days). I couldn't see anything about schedule in your review. It's kind of a dealbreaker for me. :)

Really concise, informative video. I was really impressed by the EufyCam 2 Pro in terms of the recording quality, speed and functionality of the app. I was also very impressed by the customer support provided when I had a query when setting-up the cameras. Unfortunately, even when set to maximum sensitivity the camera range is limited (25'-30'). This probably won't be a problem for most users who want to cover their porch, backyard or the parking space in front of their home. I needed to cover a larger space in front of my home and also an access lane to the property but the cameras just wouldn't detect movement over that distance. A great product and I would loved to have kept them but regrettably I had to return them.

Hello, congratulations for your great video. I just have one question, I am considering purchasing these cameras but I am looking for cameras that would be compatible with the blue iris software, a software that allows you to manage all your cameras together. Do you have any idea if that would be possible ? Blue Iris requires the ip address of the cam, and it's ID and password. Thanks a lot for your help.

I have the 1080p version, Cam 2. It will record in night vision (IR black & white) with no or a little light. If you have a bright spotlight or floodlight, then is will record in color at night. Color also during the day.

    Thanks for the overview.
With the adjustable detection area (that rectangular area), what distance away from camera can you place it to detect movement? I ask because one of the cameras I plan to install will be mounted to watch along the back wall of the house & the back door will be roughly 10m & the side gate will be 15m.
Also, those of us with iPhones will be paying for the 2K functionality but unable to utilise it correct, since 1080p is the maximum supported resolution? But is this only within the HomeKit App? Will we still have 2K footage within the Eufy App?

So there’s a charging port … will this still function while plugged into a power source? I have abode and one camera in there lineup doesn’t function while it’s being plugged into a power source. And is this Apple HomeKit compatible? That’s something I didn’t see in your review

Questions regarding the charging, no batteries required? Just charge the camera to the home base device? What about memory? Does this device save your videos automatically, and then delete the videos in 30 days automatically?

    • @ghtechreview

The Homebase can be connected to WiFi. I used the Ethernet cable since that provides the strongest signal, but WiFi is just as good.

I have not run into this issue, I set the recording resolution to 2k in the settings from day 1 and it has stayed recording at 1440p. The compression when downloading the footage to the phone is also good.

What happens if the power goes out? All the camera go down?

    • @ghtechreview
      @ghtechreview  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The cameras will no longer record because the homebase and your home internet will most likely be down so it won't be able to save your video to the homebase due to the power loss.

@@ghtechreview Thanks for the reply :)
I ended up biting the bullet and buying 2 x EufyCam 2 Pro 2K cameras and the EufyCam 2K doorbell.
A couple of cons already with the cameras.
Movement needs to happen within 8m of the camera for it to start recording (not good for looking down a driveway toward a gate).
The motion detection zone adjustment on the camera only allows for a box area to be selected (whereas with the doorbell you can actually 'draw' a custom shape to mark the detection zone).
This being said, overall happy for a first set up. Easy to install being wireless.
