    Thanks for that concise clarification. Personally I would like the 2C but a spotlight is a great deterrent, so 2C Pro it is. Eufy seem to have algorithms that prevent any single camera meeting all my needs.

    Have had the earlier Eufycam 2 ( 1080p ) system with 2 cameras and homebase 2 working for pretty much 12 months on our house, and have been very useful and reliable. I fitted one camera with the Eufy solar panel ( because camera is mounted high and hard to get to ) - NOTE if you want to fit a permanent charging cable to camera from either the solar panel or a long cable say into loft to make access easier to charge without having to access the camera you cannot use the magnetic mount as not enough room to get cable plugged in. I also fitted a couple of the Eufy stand alone battery powered ( 2 year replaceable battery ) remote sensors and using the 'automation' in the app told them to trigger the camera if they sensed anything, this works really well and the sensors are only about £24 each, so will not break the bank. I have LED floodlights with sensors covering the same places as cameras, so if the floodlight gets triggered you get colour vision even if auto-night vision on camera is selected as the ambient light overrides the black and grey infra red night vision.

    Especially if you notice the price difference: you can go with the 2C Pro and buy an additional solar panel so that you won't have any battery issues AND have the spotlight for less money ;-)

    Hey everyone, I bought the eufy cam E series 2 years ago and it's been great. The only issue is that when I went to add on I was told that they do not produce the "E" series any longer. So I would need to purchase another home base and the amount of additional cameras I wanted. Something to look into before buying this brand. Not sure if all brands are like this, but it's worth mentioning.

    Not sure if it we a software update or if you didn’t say it but the 2 pro also had color night vision.. it just needs a little ambient lightning. Most people have an outdoor patio light or something on at their house so 90% of people will still get color night vision with both cameras and it’s actually better because you don’t need the spotlight on all the time alerting people?

      @@zombos22222 the only difference between the 2 Pro and 2C pro is the integrated spot lights feature and the battery life. One comes with spot light but has a much smaller battery capacity. One comes without a spot light but with a much larger battery. Both work with and can come bundled with HomeHub 2. Both are similarly priced here in the UK.

I live on acreage, which I share with a very big male Eastern Grey. Will he be viewed as human? If yes, battery life will be greatly diminished, maybe solar panels will cope with that. Look forward to your answer.

    Great Video !! but if your power to your house goes out, the backup battery would be pointless (wouldnt it), as your network router will go down, and the cams wont be able to stream video back to the base anyway ?

    • @DeviceDeal
      @DeviceDeal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Great question. The cameras don't require any network router to operate - only the included base station. So in the event of power failure, the backup battery will keep the base station operating for up to 8 hours, and everything will still work fine while the battery is running. You'll still have working cameras while your power gets restored.

    i got both version, 2c pro is better in my opinion.
    the led light give better night vision.
    no baterry back up on for my 2 pro in the box ( bough on amazon)
    the speaker sound is very bad on both mybe slightky better on 2 c pro.
    i had tested both at the same place and 2 c pro sensor was picking up better and further away than 2 pro.
    if too close from a wall the night vision on 2 pro is terrible, look like the wall reflect and affect the night vision. go for 2 c pro for nigth vision.
    battery wise it is easy to connect solar panel or like mine i have it plug with long usb cable in a wifi socket. i have it set up to charge weekly 2 hours and it is always 100% so not a big issue to take the smaller camera
    2 c pro in my opinion is better and cheaper.
    also something strange the quality of the picture in my wife samsung android is better than my iphone...??? very strange.
    work very bad with google hub ( lag is crazy) to wacth the camera live
    i have very strong and fast internet so it is not the internet but the way it connect to googke hub.
    not bad but need improvement.
    if someone run the video capture is not good on both.
    also during the day there is option humain or all motion but for some reason all motions is recorded at night time and cannot be changed so cats and animal do trigger the alarm. very silly ...
    eufy is not bad but lots of things not are not making sense.
    especialy their eco system with the ither product
    ( indoor camera not conectabke on home base , no loud outdoor alarm siren in option do complement)
    the camera siren is ok but not that loud so the siren on home base.
    not sure if it woukd wake me up being upstair with bedroom door close.
    bit pricey for what it is...

    As alert eufy is a soft system a burglar is not scared of! Burglar can switch the alarm off simply by unplug the homebase power plug. The homebase give a little beep so the burglar know were to find it to switch power off. If the Eufy system manage to give an alert sound this sound is inhouse and this sound (beep) is very low. So no one will hear the alarm sound outside the house! 😳
    If you also got the Eufy cameras these give also a very low (soft) beep sound and also only for the time this camer see a person (movement). The mostly give an alert sound only for 5 seconds! More Eufy cameras can not sound the alert together by any alert trigger in the Eufy system and the homebase can not set also the alert sound of the cameras when an alert is triggert. Linking all cameras and homebase(s) so that they sound an alarm together is easy to program and is a missed opportunity from makers the Eufy system. These videos here are paid commercials to promote the Eufy products.
    You do not need the Eufy alert keyboard because you can also set all these functions (Away/Home/...) through or in your Eufy app on your phone or tablet 😲
    If the power is cut by a burglar the Eufy homebase will not work any more. So no alert is given by your Eufy alarm system and because 230V power is off your wifi will not send you any Eufy alert notifications!
    Alll in all not a good system for scaring away burglars. An external loud alarm / siren device is missing from the Eufy program and present alert possibilities are not flexible or loud enough to scare burglars.

  • @Peterderoode
    @Peterderoode 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice system but Eufy doesn't have a powerful outdoor siren or a flash light. Burglars are mainly startled by a powerful siren, which the Eufy system cannot offer! Eufy does have a beeper (alarm) on the homebase and the camera, but with that you tell the burglar exactly where the camera and the Eufy homebase are. If he also takes it with him, then you have nothing because the video images are stored on the homebase! And the beeping sound from the camera or the Eufy homebase is far from powerful. A pitty for Eufy security system and a missed opportunity.

    • @FreeRangeDice
      @FreeRangeDice 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alarms are not as effective as you imagine. Also, get an alarm system if you want an alarm; these are recording devices. When you are at this price range, focus on camera features. Anything extra comes at the cost of diminished surveillance. You can consider either adding a dedicated alarm system or going for a wired system that has both video and alarm components, but you are looking at thousands of dollars at that level. You get what you pay for!

    • @chrissmith2114
      @chrissmith2114 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Battery life is calculated on probably 20 to 30 triggers a day, standby life with no triggering of camera is more like 3 years for the 365 day battery camera. When using auto night vision the red IR led only light up when sensor is triggered and only stay on while recording then go off, this saves battery life and makes the camera harder to spot at night because no tell-tale red lights ( but they are not very noticeable anyway ) - cameras with IR lights on all the time attract spider, which cause problems or false triggers.
