I save my scraps for stuffing too. I love sharp tip needles but I cannot travel with them and I’ve been known to pierce my skin…a lot. I use a nail stylus to pre poke where I want my safety eyes to go. You know sometimes the eye won’t go in smoothly so I make the hole with the stylus.

The counters would be great for keeping track of rows when making a sweater. I am very tempted. I added them to my cart.

I started using a hot glue gun to secure the backs of my safety eyes.
