Thank you for the review! I found you when searching help for “belly”, I have tried three times and belly ends up in the back and still can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong

Love the succulent! You can mix up the plant/pots for colors! Variegated green yarn would be neat to use. Donatello is my favorite too. I’d say that yeti is 8 pieces. That’s a lot of sewing! I am probably wrong though, I’m no expert! I dislike sewing in amigurumi very much, but I do like the look. I need to get better at it, and I only will if I practice more!

I just came across Poppy the Frog on Tashascrochetnook. One of the best written patterns I've come across in a long time. It is no sew. Another recent favourite is the chicken (keychain) by DIY Fluffies. I made a few without the wings and love them. I did modify the comb (chain with dc) to make it easier.

My favourite no-sew at the moment is Dora the dumbo octopus from the amigurumi plushies book by Theresa's Chrochet shop. It's quick and easy and turns out super cute in every yarn I've tried so far. Bonus is you can make it in any colour.

Chubby chick is hilarious! The penguins look really sweet. That caterpillar looks kind of like the worm in Labyrinth 🥰 And I'm going total comic nerd and Jennika is my favorite ninja turtle (she is awesome). So many adorable patterns! Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡

I feel like I already commented on this video, but I might just be confusing myself, ha! I just finished Hans the Bear, and I did find two errors, so that was kind of surprising to me. I think if I was more experienced, I wouldn't have made the mistakes I did, but I was just following the pattern. Hans' directions say to use the 2.75mm hook unless otherwise indicated, and when you get to the hat, it doesn't say to switch to the 4mm, so I made a whole hat that was way too small. I should've noticed, but I was "trusting the process". More experience would have prevented this. Also, it says the scarf pattern is on page 113, so off I went, and the scarf pattern on page 113 is ten rounds. Hans' is only five. I noticed this as I made it to round six... again, experience would've prevented this, as it's clearly 5 rounds in the picture of Hans... but I was just doing what it said! Hopefully I'll get better at deciphering what the pattern means, vs what it says!

I just have to say, in response to your intro, just like you said, kits like these ABSOLUTELY get non-crocheters interested in crochet. Several years ago, my mom bought me the Harry Potter amigurumi kit from Barnes & Noble because I totally wanted it based on the adorable figurines. I was not a crocheter, but was certain I could figure it out somehow and make the characters. I was very, very wrong, but I was committed to learning, and simply because of that kit, I am now an avid crocheter, and obsessed with amigurumi. I'm still not very good, and would consider myself pretty novice, but I have made a lot of projects and now I also have a yarn buying hobby to boot. 😁 Update: Love the outfit changes, these are so darling! I think I'd like them better as complete amigurumi vs finger puppets, but they're super sweet. I'm more of a Star Trek than Star Wars, but loved the video. Cheers!

I think you would've ran out of that brown yarn while working on the legs... or JUST made it, and that doesn't sound fun! These are super cute! It's not for me style-wise, but I can still really appreciate them!

I love that you made a video of this and the makes for the Ami Along! I do want to purchase the 4th one so bad! Waiting for the next discount but these are great for me as a fantasy book lover. Seeing these come to life with a cozy story is really engaging.

I completely agree with the legs! They are such a pain. A suggestion for a technique I figured out for those that might want to try: when working on the first leg, cut a very very long tail (estimate enough to finish the leg … I know it’s hard, but just over estimate if you have to) and work a few rounds. Then attach yarn to the other leg and work a few rounds. Go back and forth between the legs making sure to keep track of progress using notes and stitch markers, a few rows at a time. This technique saves you the huge hassle of stitching around a long, fully complete and firm leg. Hope this helps someone! It has saved me so much time and stress!
