You expired me to get another tattoo it's nice to know I'm getting a tattoo on your birthday we love you Jack the rabbit and you keep going with everything you do
I actually got to participate in a clinic for the Transacoustic guitars at my local Guitar Center back in late 2018. Basically, the Yamaha guy heard me playing some songs on an electric, said I was a better player than him, and asked if I'd play the guitar & demo its electronics; I readily agreed. He walked me through the knobs and I was impressed by the built-in effects. That was a fun day and everyone at the clinic - myself included - got a Transacoustic t-shirt. Since I still don’t have an acoustic, the Transacoustic will be my first one, due to the sheer versatility of the effects. Maybe I'll ask Santa for one this year! Anyway, cheers and happy birthday, Jack!
Wow, that's such an awesome story!! I couldn't leave the store without this lol! I'm getting picky in my old age, but I really like this guitar. It's so much fun to share it with you guys! Great to see you again!! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
@@JackTheRabbitMusic Same here, Jack. And I still can’t believe that out of all the potential players in the store that day, the Yamaha guy picked me to demo the guitar.
@@JackTheRabbitMusic I'll admit, I was nervous at first 😬 But I just focused on turning the effects. I played the one acoustic song I can play nicely (John Mellencamp's _Ain’t Even Done With the Night)_ If I ever get asked to play in a clinic again, I will do it without a second thought.

Hey Jack! So good to see a video up! That guitar is beautiful! Loved the story behind it. I spy new lyrics in the reflection!! Just kidding :). Love hearing you play. Have a great day!!
Thank you! I thought it was going to be gimmicky when I saw they came out with this, so I had to go play one. I couldn't leave the store without it Lol! 🐰❤️🙏🌺🎸🎶🤝✌️

I never played a Yamaha I didn't like, they make some of the best instruments in the world. I'm always surprised that they aren't the big 3rd in guitars (you know Gibson, Fender and Yamaha). I have to say that tone is lovely, it seems to be scooped slightly in the mids, and that really suits your playing style. So an amazing find, and Happy Birthday Jack. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks Ian! It's such a great sounding guitar. The overtones are just awesome. It's really fun to play, to boot! It's my first Yamaha I've ever owned, but my friend had a 12 string that was killer, so I had to get one! My bday is coming up in a few months...I got this one last year, but just got around to demoing it now lol! Thanks so much for your awesome comment! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
Hi Jack. I saw these Yamaha models. Kinda like the tonewood add on that you can put on any acoustic guitar. I'm very interested. Such a sweet sound to sit & play an acoustic alone. So full & nice sounding. It just makes the Guitar sound like it is filling up the room. So nice...
Great to see you here, Terry! Yeah, this guitar is a lot of fun to play! Because the sounds are coming from inside the guitar body, the reverb and chorus sound very natural. It's pretty amazing. The guitar sounds great with no effects, but man, it just shines when played for friends and family! Thanks so much for the comment and the watch!! 🐰❤️🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
Hi Jack, I hope you have a really wonderful and splendiferous (made up word, but sounds good), Birthday. Many happy returns, and have a great weekend, my friend x 🎈🔊🎤🎸
Thanks Andy! Yeah, the tonewood amp! I went with this guitar because I did't like the way the tonewood amp attaches to the guitar. It's funny because Yamaha invented the technology and tonewood stole the idea for their product. 🤣 Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
What a beautiful Guitar. Looks lovely with the Sunburst and sounds awesome as well! Beautiful playing on Top. You´re a fantastic Acoustic Player man. Very enjoyable and smooth Picking Style :) btw: Love the Chorus you put on :)

Happy Birthday dude!!! Nice guitar, sounds OUTSTANDING dry and even better with the effects. Being an effects kinda guy I liked it with BOTH ALL the way up but really that guitar and the way you can play acoustic doesn't really need them. VERY KOOL!!!
2N3 CHORD JAMS Thanks so much, Don!!! My birthday is actually in October, but this was last years gift to myself lol! I sure do appreciate the kind words! It’s definitely a sweet acoustic, and the overtones are wonderful in person! I am not sure the mic on my phone captured ALL the magic...lol! Late this party, but just had to put my $.02 worth. 😁 Stumbled across this exact model/color guitar today. I was in the store to look at a new Martin 000-28e Modern Deluxe @ $4,600. Walked out with this beautiful great-sounding resonant full bodied tone Yamaha LS-TA. I tried it against several high end Taylors and Martins (I have both brands in high end editions), and the Yamaha won! I won't use the chorus feature as chorus doesn't ring my chimes, but I LOVE the reverb! Check out this instrument before you spend big bucks on "High End" guitars.
I love this comment! Thank you for this. I know it will help a lot of folks, and it will save people a bunch of money! I totally agree, these Yamaha guitars sound like much more expensive instruments, and the fit and finish is outstanding! I have sold all my Martin’s (I had 4 USA models), and I could never get along with the Taylor sound, so I haven’t owned any Taylor guitars - but I have played them. What got me is that the sound of this guitar without any of the “bells and whistles” sounds so sweet, but with a touch of that reverb...it’s like the chefs kiss, lol! I don’t use the chorus much, either, but I like that it is there. The reverb sounds so natural. I had a Lag HyVibe for a while, which I just could not bond with. It had more than the Yamaha offers, as far as sound effects (such as delay, and it can mix delay and reverb together) but the guitar itself was not as nice as the Yamaha (at the same price point). I also thought the digital effects sounded too digital on the Lag HyVibe, but with the Yamaha, it is a totally natural sounding reverb. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story, and congratulations! Peace. 🐰💙🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
Congrats on the yamaha, I have the same guitar in natural, they are awesome guitars for sure. First class spec and build quality with loads of volume unplugged. The reverb and chorus sound great and add ambience. 😎🐰
Awww, yeah, Hugh! You have all the sweet guitars, too!! Cort, Yamaha...what else? I wanna see some of your instruments dude! Thanks so much for watching and leaving a nice comment!! 🐰❤️🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
I agree! It's such a well built, and amazing sounding guitar. If it were a Taylor or Martin on the headstock, it'd be at least $3000.00 U.S. I recently got ahold of a LAG HyVibe, which I'm going to compare with this Transacoustic system in an upcoming video. Thanks so much for the comment! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
Great review! do you need to plug it in for the FX or are they transmitted to the body? I can imagine you would got through quite a lot of batteries because you would get used to the reverb being on most ofthe time.
Hi! 😊 You don't need to plug anything in to make the effects work, but if you do plug in, the effects will come out of both the guitar and the line out. I've had this guitar for almost a year, and have not had to change the batteries yet. It takes 2 AA batteries instead of a 9v, and the battery compartment is well designed and really easy to access. All electric acoustic guitars have batteries, so it's really not even an issue...at least for me. Thanks so much for checking out the video! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
Happy B-day Jack! I’m gonna celebrate with a margarita lol. Yamaha’s have a great voice. Most I hear have a perfect blend of woody chime and this engelmann spruce top is no exception. If it wasn’t for the long scale length I’d have an LS16M already. But that’s where the FS Red Label comes in...woohoo! Too bad the FS5’s are back ordered atm...boo! And I couldn’t score a Cort P6 for the same reason...double boo! Hopefully I can score one of them before the world economy crashes. So here’s a question for the old man. Is a 1 11/16 nut noticeably different than a 1 3/4 nut from a playability perspective? What’s your take Mr. Rabbit 🐰? Also, don’t you have another Washburn to show us, as well as a redwood top...was it Breedlove?
Hey Fred! Thanks lol!! Yeah, this thing has the woody chime sound down! The overtones are amazing, and with the effects on, it's just so fun to play! I actually ordered a P6...it's coming at the end of August. I got a great deal because I agreed I would mention the seller on my demo of it. I can't wait to try it out! I much prefer the wider nut for most of my playing, but the narrower nut isn't too far off. I don't have too much adjusting to make if I were to switch guitars in a set or something like that. I just like the extra room because I have fat fingers lol! I do have another Washburn, and a Breedlove...and a few more guitars I haven't demo'd yet lol! I was thinking of waiting on the P6 and then comparing all 3 parlor guitars in one video...but maybe I will do them separately and then all together...IDK? lol! Thanks for watching, Fred! 🐰🙏❤️🎸🎶🤝✌️
Thanks for your input on the nut width. I’ve passed on a few guitars because they were 1 11/16 but maybe i shouldn’t. The little Yamaha CFS for example is a pretty sweet sounding small guitar, and has great reviews. I was told end of October for the P6, so I guess your seller isn’t Wire Meets Wood. GC has an Alvarez 00 size parlor with a cedar top and macassar ebony back, up for pre-order but who knows when they’ll be shipped. Red Label FS3’s are available but I really want to hold out for the FS5 made in Japan. I just need to chillax and wait I guess. Okay brother Jack, these margaritas are hitting me. Time to hit the hay. Have an awesome B-day Sunday!
Omg I have a Yamaha guitar too! But I rarely play it haha😅 And honestly it’s amazing. Yours looks so cool and sounds awesome man! Wish I could play like you, I really loved and enjoyed this sweet review. And oh my my, there are so many guitars behind you! Are they all yours? If yes, you should do like a guitar tour or something and show each one and describe how you got it maybe? Just an idea! Also I know I’m late but wishing you a very happy birthday!🥳💕
Aw, thanks so much!! It's great to see you here! 😇🌷 Lol, yes, they are all my guitars! 😋 I made demos of a few of them, but I'll do a video on each eventually! Haha! 🙃 Thanks so much for checking it out and leaving an awesome comment!! 🐰💜🌻🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
How do you like this lsta compared to the cort gold om models. I have the ll16d, which is the dreadnought version of the lsta and I love it. I'm looking into an om guitar and I'm between this lsta or the cort gold 08.
Great question! That's tough to answer, since I really love both. The Cort is about 1/2 the price of the Yamaha here, but I really love the built in reverb on the Yamaha. As far as build quality goes, there's little difference. The Cort is impeccably finished, and the fretwork is better on the Cort. If I didn't need electronics, I would go for the Cort. For me, it would really come down to how much money I wanted to throw down. My favorite of the Gold Series guitars I own is the O6. If I had a gun to my head and the person holding it says, pick one now...it's gonna be the Yamaha, only for the versatility of having electronics. Thanks for the comment! 🐰💜🙏🎸🎶🤝✌
@@JackTheRabbitMusic I totally get you. These guitars are amazing. I went into the store ready to buy a Martin HD28 and ended up buying an LL16D. I just could not put the LL16D down.
That’s a steal! Haha! I absolutely recommend them. Yamaha makes some of the BEST guitars in the world. I like a slinkier feel to my strings, so I use .11’s and tune down to Eb. I only use Elixir strings, because I have so many instruments, I hate having to string them all every few months; the Elixer strings allow me to leave them for years on my wall hangers without changing. I don’t play all of my guitars everyday. You may have a different preference of strings, but I would play around with one gauge higher, and one lower, and see what the guitar likes. Everyone is different in their playing styles, and every guitar reacts differently to different string gauges. If you’re a heavy strummer, use .12’s. Light finger style…?…use lighter strings. Good luck with your purchase, and thanks for checking it out! 🐰🙏🩶🎸🎶✌️
@@JackTheRabbitMusic Appreciate your detailed response on the LS-TA. It’s a 200 mile round trip to go get it. Part of me is thinking it’s going to sound to tinnyor trebley and weak without effects
@@markbradfield7672 Oh no…it sounds amazing without the effects, and with them on, it’s really inspiring. That’s a long drive to save a few hundred dollars, but understandable. I’m not sure I would make that drive; I would rather pay to ship it, but some folks need to have hands on before buying, and there’s no shame in that!
Hey, Jack the Rabbit!!! Are these all instruments yours? You have a great collection:)) May this guitars gently sing under your talented fingers :) Have a nice mood for this weekend and continue create amazing music, like you do :)) :*

Hello Jack, this is really quite unbelievable : tanks to you i can virually test 2 of the 3 guitar I'm hesitating to buy. I haven't play guitar for more than 10 years now mostly for lack of time. During the lockdown , I had more time for me and decided to start again. I find my old dreadnought not confortable at all and I'm considering buying myself a New guitar. I want a smaller , fun to play and easy to grab one like an om or a concert size. After a long time looking on the internet, I selected 2 models : the cort gold o6, the yamaha ls16 which is the same than the ls ta without the transacoustic system. Here in France, the ls16 and the gold o6 has quite the same price. Unfortunately, here in France I can't find a shop where i can try these differents models. And here you are, making good review of 2 of them. Could you tell me between which is the smaller one, which has the most confortable neck and which in your opinion has the warmer sound ? It would help me a lot to make my choice. Ps: i'm looking forward to see the demo of your futur P6 and to compare it to your washburn timeless which has such an amazing sound.
Hey dude! Great to see you again! To answer the questions you have: 1.the O6 has a slightly smaller neck 2.the O6 has a warmer sound due to mahogany B/S 3.the O6 is just a bit smaller I am really glad these videos are helping! That's awesome to hear, and I will continue to make more. I will definitely have a shootout with the P6 and the 2 Washburn parlor guitars I own now. It should be a fun one to make, and hopefully fun for you to watch! Thank you so much!! 🐰🙏❤️🎸🎶🤝✌️
Haha, no worries, Tony! Thanks for checking out my video! It does have a transparent pickguard, which is really sweet. Congratulations on grabbing one of these, they are really well made and sound AMAZING! I know you will love it when you play it, even with no effects on. Once you hit that reverb and a little bit of the chorus...oh, man! It’s such a great instrument, and it’s fun to play. I really appreciate the support, and kind words! Peace! 🐰💙🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
@@JackTheRabbitMusic my pleasure mate and thanks for the reply , yeah you really can’t go wrong with a Yamaha guitar that’s for sure, they make amazing instruments .
Hey Matthias! Thanks for the comment! I did actually try the LL vs the LS and since I prefer smaller bodied guitars, I went with the concert size. It had a bit more clarity and note separation, which are things I prefer in an instrument. Both instruments are equal as far as build quality and fit and finish. For me, it really came down to comfortability. I got to play both LS and LL side by side at the guitar center here, and I was in their acoustic room alone, so I got to get a pretty good idea of how they compared sonically. I would have no problem recommending either one...they are really superior instruments, when compared to other brands. I also tried the LAG HyVibe, and I hated it, lol! I owned one for a few months, because I was gonna do a demo side by side with the LAG vs Yamaha...it was no contest. The LAG wasn’t even in the same league as far as sound, build quality, and fit and finish. I hope that helps! Peace. 🐰💙🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
Thanks for your quick and helpful response, Jack. I’ll buy one as soon - just have to make up my mind whether to go with the ll or the ls now, so your comment is really appreciated.
Just picked up one exactly the same this week, amazing guitar, love it, action is perfect although I prefer slightly thinner strings which I will change eventually. On the transparent pick guard, did yours had a protective film on it, don't think mine has ? Thanks from 🇬🇧 Martin
Haha, I had the same question! So I bought a Lag HyVibe, just to see which was better, and I absolutely hated the Lag relative to the Yamaha. I actually bought it JUST to do a demo between the Yamaha and the Lag, but the Lag was so awful compared to the Yamaha, I thought a comparison would be mean, so I quickly sold it, lol! Yamaha, although it doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles like the Lag, is a much better built guitar, with better materials, better craftsmanship, and the acoustic sound alone is leaps and bounds better than the Lag. The HyVibe effects sounded very artificial, compared to the Transacoustic system. The way the oscillator works on the Yamaha is that it vibrates the back of the guitar, whereas the HyVibe vibrates the top of the guitar - which makes the Lag sounds very artificial...especially the reverb. Yeah, it’s kinda cool to have a built in looper, and the delays are kinda neat on the HyVibe, but the Yamaha is just a way better value, IMHO. Like I said, if I were to review both guitars side by side, I would have very little good things to say about the Lag. For $1000.00 USD, the least expensive (solid cedar top/laminate sapele back and sides) Lag costs as much as the more expensive (all premium solid wood/solid torrefied englemann spruce top) Yamaha. You’re really paying for the technology, not a really great guitar. With the Yamaha, you start with an amazing guitar, and then it just gets better. I hope that helps you a bit, but if you have the chance to try either guitar. I would say try them both and see which YOU prefer. Maybe there’s a reason you need a built in looper and delay...? I never cared for looping , as I can just record to my DAW and play to a backing track. The looper is really only good for practice, anyhow. Yamaha has reverb and chorus, and both effects are natural sounding, and beautiful. The Lag effects just sound too digital. A few things the Lag has that Yamaha doesn’t is the battery has a charger for the Lag, where the Yamaha takes 2 AA batteries (I prefer batteries in case I forget to charge before a gig). The Lag also offers software updates, and you are able to mix sounds/FX on the ios app for iPad/iPhone...I forgot if the app works on an android, but either way, you can download new effects. I truly believe you are paying more for the HyVibe system than for the actual instrument it’s in. Yamaha just starts with an awesome instrument, and adds a little bit of the special sauce. The reverb and chorus are both incredible on the Yamaha. Thanks for watching, and if you need any help, feel free to reach out! Peace. 🐰💙🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️

Man, I had a $200 Ibanez acoustic-electric that I played through my teens and 20’s. When I moved to San Francisco 10 years ago, I had 3 bags of clothes, no job, no house...nothing. I started here with a $50 chinese plywood guitar, like the ones you can get on Amazon. I played that for years, until I started saving enough to get what I wanted. Excellent overview of this wonderful guitar. One of the best I've seen. Good job!
Wow, thank you for that! I really appreciate this comment! Have an awesome day.

So cool to see gadgetry in the acoustics
Thank you! I thought it was going to be gimmicky when I saw they came out with this, so I had to go play one. I couldn't leave the store without it Lol! 🐰❤️🙏🌺🎸🎶🤝✌️
Wow that's such a nice looking guitar
I will be happy if you can listen to my new piano work as well
Awesome, thank you so much! I noticed that you have your notification bell turned off, so there's no way I can be notified when you post new videos. I'm not sure why it's set that way, but I am not allowed to click the bell on your channel. The only way I would know you put a new video up is if you change your settings in YT studio so I can click the 🔔.
I'll check it out! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! 🐰💜🙏🎹🎸🎶🤝✌
Yamaha is solid company for lots of stuff - guitars, motorcycles, etc.

Such a cool guitar- it’s like a built in Tone Wood amp! Reverb is my favorite effect. Great demo Jack!
Thanks Andy! Yeah, the tonewood amp! I went with this guitar because I did't like the way the tonewood amp attaches to the guitar. It's funny because Yamaha invented the technology and tonewood stole the idea for their product. 🤣

Jack the Rabbit I never knew yamaha invented that.
What a beautiful Guitar. Looks lovely with the Sunburst and sounds awesome as well! Beautiful playing on Top. You´re a fantastic Acoustic Player man. Very enjoyable and smooth Picking Style :) btw: Love the Chorus you put on :)

Hope you enjoy your day.

They were far away too!
Yeah, I was blown away by the effects. They are so natural because there's nothing digital going on there. The overtones in person are incredible! Idk if the phone audio captured it as well as it sounds in the room, but it came pretty close.

Peace. 🐰💙🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
Nice!
😉 Thanks, Lauren! 🐰🩶🙏🎸🎶✌️

Got the LL-TA. practically the same spec as my Taylor 714ce, which cost two and half times the price. 👍
Jack the Rabbit I'll look forward to that. Cheers.
Great review! do you need to plug it in for the FX or are they transmitted to the body? I can imagine you would got through quite a lot of batteries because you would get used to the reverb being on most ofthe time.
Hi! 😊
You don't need to plug anything in to make the effects work, but if you do plug in, the effects will come out of both the guitar and the line out.

Lol, yes, they are all my guitars! 😋
I made demos of a few of them, but I'll do a video on each eventually! Haha! 🙃
Thanks so much for checking it out and leaving an awesome comment!!
@@MarianoPerez OH, I'll take Yamaha over Martin all day lol! 🤘
I know this is a older video. I’m about to buy a used lsta for 550. Do you still recommend them? What’s the best gauge strings?

Jack the Rabbit I know you are the one to do it. There's no rush whatsoever. My Father agrees, it's something I can't explain! It has to do with that melody you start to play @4:49. 😂😇🙏❤️ you’re funny man! I am really honored and humbled by this request. Thank you again for trusting me with this!
To answer the questions you have:
1.the O6 has a slightly smaller neck
2.the O6 has a warmer sound due to mahogany B/S
3.the O6 is just a bit smaller
I am really glad these videos are helping! That's awesome to hear, and I will continue to make more. I will definitely have a shootout with the P6 and the 2 Washburn parlor guitars I own now. It should be a fun one to make, and hopefully fun for you to watch! Thank you so much!! 🐰🙏❤️🎸🎶🤝✌️
Nice 👌🌹🍀💛💜❤️💚👍
Craft Guru BD Thank you very much!! 🐰❤️🙏🎸🎶🤝✌️
Late to the party but just ordered the same one, does it have a transparent pick guard? Great review man and great playing, can’t wait to get mine✌️😎
Great review, Jack. Did you have the chance to compare the ls-ta against the ll-ta and if yes, what drove your decision towards the ls-ta? Thx.
Thanks from 🇬🇧
Martin
I'm quite having a hard time choosing between Yamaha Transacoustic and Lag Hyvibe

@@JackTheRabbitMusic I have 2 $150 crap acouatics, a decent 12 string fender and a dope acoustic bass, I sacraficed getting my dream Taylor or Martin to spread out and get some equipment lol
It’s been a hell of a journey, and I am finally enjoying it. You don’t need expensive stuff when you have as much raw talent as you do. 😇
