Took me forever to figure it out but here :
Make sure to put the line in between two clips, and then select the transition. The media will show up in the project window under placeholders as its own sequence. Drag it into the media dropdown area in the Essential Graphics window.
Once its in, you will probably need to edit the size, for some reason it never imports correctly. In replace media, under where you dropped the sequence, I usually have to adjust the height/width to 400%, and then go into Effect controls and go to scale and adjust it to 100.
Obviously it would be better if they fixed this issue, its quite frustrating, but at least theres a workaround.
