Don can shift from good guy to creep as well as any actor I've seen, including Cagney. I think he would have fit in rather effectively in the film noir era.
They should have gone deeper into this storyline and showed more of Sonny's dealings as Burnett and how he became so successful with these drug lords. At least 1 or 2 more episodes with him as Burnett would have been great. Especially since quite a few season 5 episodes were duds.
@@surfshack2 No, that was the woman he met after his marriage failed. Reportedly, she exacerbated his personal issues, all but encouraging him to go under the knife repeatedly in order to rectify his troubles. It was also during this time that he returned to amateur boxing, which didn’t do any favors for his career or features and directly contributed to the wax-like distortion of his current profile. If nothing else, the years he was married to Debra, 1981-1989, directly correlate with the best years of his career. It was only when he switched spouses that he took a dive, personally and professionally.
Don Johnson looked really great in his Sonny Burnett get up. By the way you have misspelling in your title it should be Sonny Burnett not Sonny Burnerr at the start of the title.
When she throws a bottle at his head, slaps him, and punches him in the chest several times then gets quality time with him in a Mansion Bed that is called Hollywood love. If that was the other way around and he was doing the slapping and punching it would be called domestic violence.
One of the best lines ever spoken in the series- "Why don't you have another bottle of champagne and maybe you will think I was on time". She was acting tough, but he knew he held all the power.
It would have been interesting had Don Johnson played two characters Crockett and Burnett at the same time similar to David Hasselhoff playing both Michael and Garthe Knight on Knight Rider. Maybe an old nemesis of Crockett would undergo cosmetic surgery to look like Sonny, under the alias of Sonny Burnett. I would have love to see a showdown between the two Sonnys, Crockett and Burnett if that were to happen.
I was also curious, so did a little research. Apparently season 5 soundtracks were never released, but look for " Tim Truman - Sympathetic Ear/Salazar" starts at 1:20.
This 3-part series of Burnett was really good, but the whole story about Sonny getting amnesia was weak. It was a sign of the beginning of the end of Miami Vice.
Hated..still hate most of the goofy clothes they wore. Fruity, at best. Looks silly in a classic suit compared to pastels and white shoes and no socks.
6:54 Doesn't flinch at the bottle thrown at him, then delivers the best "make me a sandwich" one-liner in TV history then still gets laid. LOL
This 3 Part Series in the end of Season 4 /Beginning of Season 5 was one of my favorites from the Entire Miami Vice TV Series 👍
No way,Don plays the villain role so fucking great,I'm impressed
He was actually better as the villain than as the cop ! I liked his dark, sexy vibe...and that hair !
The actor feels right at home as the villain...better than as the hero, honestly.
He played a stalker in a movie, can't remember the name of it
He was positively evil in the movie Guilty as Sin. Check it out
Crockett's suit is magnificent
I believe it was by Valentino. 😎
@@retro-dademusic6403 Yeah, Versace and Valentino provided loads of clothing for miami vice as far as i'm aware. There were other brands too
@@SlavicMogger You’re right! 😎
His suit was magnificent and so was HE :)

Imagine a whole Burnett season :-)
a whole series would have been awesome
Ah yes, Sonny Burnerr, my favorite Miami Vice character :D
He enjoyed burning bridgesss 😎
Underaterr comment!
Discount Sonny Crockett lmao played by 1980s Michael Bolton.
*sonny Crockett as burnett
lol
Crockett And Burnett duo personalities.

Classic!
The chick is from the "To Live and Die in LA" movie from 1985.
Yeah I saw that after I saw this and thought its the miami vice girl
@@stephenkissane4268 For me it was the other way around. Lol
Debra Feuer. She was Mickey Rourke’s wife for many years.
@@stoogefest16 Was that the one who drove him crazy? lol

7:31 The dog vs bubbles kiss technique...absolute badass.
He is so good at being bad. Watch his movie, Guilty as Sin. He was positively evil in it
Sonny reminds me of Lorenzo lamas in “Renegade” … I think that show took a lot of influence from Miami Vice.
those were the good old tv shows 😞
Burrnett was one slick dude. (Crockett's alter-ego)
Thats looks not 80s..one of the best Series of all Times

There was this movie from 1993. Actually the movie about Sonny Burnett gone legal.

Me, with a ponytail,a helicopter, meeting bad men and a restless woman with drink.....hmm.....Vice or no vice, I'll say 'yes'.
I think you meant Crockerr 😎
Nice soundtrack here
How in the heck did you manage to misspell Burnett's name?!?!?
Quite easy, even the makers of the show spelt Crockett's name wrong (see the episode "A Bullet for Crockett"; it's spelt CROCKET)!
Wow that was awesome ❤️
80's ponytail > millennial manbun
No comparison.
Love him but not the ponytail
Manbun is a follicular war crime against humanity.
If I'd have had hair...
Great!!!!
We ❤️ Miami Vice ❤️
Crockett was clean AF!
These were the best episodes and waiting a whole year back in the 80's to see if he killed Tubbs or not in the light house.
"That's B-U-R-N-E double T."
nice
If anyone notices that's the same house they used in the episode Little Prince
In before the title gets changed. 😂
So wait does Nash have amnesia here or what?

It is difficult to take a man seriously when he wears his hair like a Show Poodle.

4:30 Max Headroom
Sonny really wasn't himself at that time.
We ❤ Miami vice
Jeez how many times are they gonna misspell burnett??
Pure boss

2:21 Burnett gave him some cocaine/speed, right?
Yes.

Debra Feuer is incredible
She always reminds me of TLADILA.
Too bad she's now turned old, just like everyone else......
Oh well those good old 80s... no more......
Sad......
@@vampyrelycan99 Don't know how she's today, but yeah, her 80s presence is remarkable, especially on Vice

Burnerr???
Sonny you bad boy u.
La guerrera house is the same house they used in the episode Little Prince
Did they do it? I was 11yrs old then.
what do you mean with "do it?"
A Max Headroom sighting (the actor).
Why are all the names MIS-SPELLED ??? Burnett.
Burnerr? 🙄🤦♂️...it's Burnett!
the Poodle didn't act that well. But the Sheila is begging for it.

No tv before sopranos and band of brothers aged well...
Miami has always been about flashy colors still is. It just part of the city.
