Have you tried Komoot? Are you able to get maps when you don’t have cell coverage? Great video and would enjoy another one on the spreadsheet that you prepared to figure out daily miles. Thanks
I haven’t actually tried Kamoot. However, I have spent some time route planning using ride with GPS and Strava. Both are great tools. I will probably be blending the good qualities of all of these tools for future planning. I think I’ve had pretty good cell coverage everywhere I’ve been in the Alps. I know there are ways to download maps so that the GPS signal will still have something to plot against even if you’re riding outside cell coverage. That’s a good idea on the spreadsheet. I’ll have to see if I have time to put something like that together. Thanks for the feedback!
Great video, my question slightly off topic, What is the lowest gear ratio on your tandem? Im looking at touring France with camping gear and Im not sure I have a low enough gear.
This is just great. Really clear explanation at a pace that you can follow on your own google maps. Yep...subscribed!
Thank you Jeremy! Glad it was helpful.
Great video Reed! I knew some of this but you have expanded my feeble brain! Thanks
You're welcome Michael!
Thanks super helpful!
Glad to hear it.
Very informative. 🙂
Glad you liked it
Thank you sir ❤
You’re welcome
Great tips! That's really good to know that the "bicycle" nav type isn't perfect and can take you on a corn & cattle tour.
Sometimes, but for the most part it works very well. The cow field ended up to be a delight and legit!

I have a 36 on front and 11 on the rear giving me 25.09 gear inches. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply on this.
