My good friend Rick Lonow drummed for the Bellamy's. He's on this video. A strong drummer in his own right...he now drums with Garth Hudson in Nashville. Also a great guy....meeting the whole band traveling to keep my girlfriend (Rick's wife) able to visit Rick...we got to know the road well. Their tour bus was amazing.
they look like good peeps.. i was born in april ‘76 so i literally grew up with these guys and this song in particular. god how i wish i could go back to such a simple, beautiful way of life! ☀️
So, driving the back roads of Texas during this time, the Bellamy Brothers where in the cassette rotation. Fast forward, as a 15yr old kid, we walked into the gates of Farm Aid 2 in Manor with stale beer poured into milk jugs. if anyone remembers, you could bring 2 gallons of "liguid" per person! greatest thing ever- there were ice troughs for free! Sat mostly towards the back , but as a 15 year old, i had the time of my life!!!- :Left Eye Gibby!
A little too many notes for the song- it had a good melodic idea in some spots but the vibrato is sophomoreish and just trying to play too fast. I would put Glen Campbell on that and he would have played the perfect solo…or Eric Clapton or Derek Trucks or Dickey…
Wow Billy Crain, blue shirt lead guitar... !!! now that's rock and roll... love how the guy with the over-voice (and audio volume mixer controls) holds you back early (o.25) , thank goodness brings you back at 0.58 and then at 2.38 finally let's you rip ! Thank you Billy Crain ! And thank you Bellamy Brothers ! Vaya con Dios !
this is great...love these guys...and love this youtube channel...but I was at Farm Aid 1 and NO concert or festival will even come close to the star power and diversity of bands that first year....
Has any guitar player ever blown more speakers than Billy Crain ? Almost blew mine but backed off just in time ! Thank you again Billy and I hope you are well.
Sure best Life Song the Bellamys did-They got great support by that Guy with the "Strong Guitar" dam good-The one on the Drums is also Dam good-They give all they got. I've been Farmer here in the Freestate of Bavaria but times have changed so dam much-Tell You one Thing...Bankers and Managers didn't built AMERICA...That's what Farmers and Ranchers and working People did-That's for Sure!!! God Bless US Folks...All of You inculding Cityslikers, Bankers and Managers... Goddamit!!😉🇺🇸🇩🇪🖤♠️🎱🎤🎸💃
That guy in the blue shirt is the later "Outlaws" southern-rock-killer-guitarist Billy Crain, younger brother to the Charly Daniels guitar-heroe Tom Crain (RIP).
Bellamy Brothers Toured with ALABAMA,, Best sound engineer was Dave Zammitt. He worked for Electrotech Sound. Who was ALABAMA's primary sound provider.
That’s my Uncle Dannie Jo Jones playing the guitar on the far left!! He’s usually playing the pedal steel guitar. He was such a talented musician! RIP
The guy in the blue shirt ?
How did he die?
If I was only allowed to listen to ONE song for the rest of my life, I would choose Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers!
I used to work crew for the Bellamy Brothers. Best guys in the world. Can not say not one bad word about them. Greatest folks in the world.

Ms. Laura Jones, I'd like to talk to you. How?
"Let your love fly like a bird on a wing
And let your love bind you to all living things..."
I hope these two lines imprint on everyone...
My husband was a back-up spotlight operator for Live Aid in the '80s. I'm so proud of their work in support of American farmers!

Listened to this thousands of times CLASSIC
Who else but me thinks that was an awesome guitar solo?

Originally released in the summer of 1976 by this awesome country duo.
I absolutely LOVE this song.
Love these guys. They're in my very fabric of musical life.
Saw them in concert several times. Awesome show!!!💖💖💖💖💖
The Bellamy Brothers are the BEST in the business. Bar NONE.
I miss working for the Bellamy's, wish I could again.

That was some horrible audio engineering! It stunk. Voices flat, weak, feedback... sounds like a church social.

Not their best singing this song.
Ain't it so.
The sound wasn't the best that day.
Many bands to deal with, wasn't a lot of time for (a good sound check.)

William Bolton thankyou for replying and explaining it. 😊.
