I wonder if the people sitting on those rocking chairs realise how blessed they are to be so close to two legends with a really cool backing band playing a song that should be the rallying call to the world today. Does'nt get much better than this.
Just discovered this song today, on the way home from work, at 30 years old, and I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm glad I let the song play instead of skipping it, its beyond words.
those two legends should feel lucky to be singing to the people in that audience and even have the old Sarge playing for them

I lost my wonderful Mom 6 days ago, she Loved The Bellamy Brothers and this song was her absolute favorite! I just blasted and burst into tears remembering how my Mom would turn it up loud and sing. Oh how I am going to miss her so much.

It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. I've just found this and I can't believe they have the same velvety quality voices - they haven't diminished in all those years - just as good as the clip I found the other night from 1976. The vocalist's voice doesn't seem to have aged at all.

Jim Stafford had a big private Christmas Party in 2000. I met Dave there. He treated me like he had known me forever. Lots of people from Nashville were there. We had a GREAT JAM SESSION till about 3 am. Good times.

27 yrs ago I was 18, had a great Band at the time, We opened up for these guys in a small Minnesota town, we did our 2 sets, they came out on stage and Thanked us for our opening sets, they finished there show, They wanted us to DO 1 more Number wit them WE did this song.. Since then I put my Band stuff away, My nephew today found my Old band pictures, And a old concert Bill for my band and these guys Im so hooked on this song again, time to get the old band together again and Start up again the band... :) :)

I've been listening to it since 1975. Me? I'm 69. The version I always listen to has a lot more Punch to it. Especially through a couple of JBL speakers that have a 12" bass. You can vibrate the windows in a house. The song is so mellow that the loudness doesn't ruin your ears. Sounds like the guys are right there performing for you.

This reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976 so I'm pretty sure you don't have to be a country fan to like this song... it's very "pop"
