I think a timer would've helped us understand just how long it took to get anything useful. We _can_ rely on the number of teleport potions, but that's not as visceral.

Trying to battle WoF in this challenge would be a battle of extreme luck since you have to teleport close to the WoF and ALWAYS in hell since he just insta-kills you if you leave it.
Well, after starting the fight he would definitely just not teleport. There has to be a way to just kill it before it kills you, eapecially since this is not expert mode.
Meteorite bars are a loot item for chests in the hell biome, usually exclusive to shadow chests. If a gold chest spawns low enough it can end up generating them. You have more patience than me to try this, good luck!
you can right click to grapple onto minecarts and move a little bit similar to chairs without pressing any movement keys, iirc it removes knockback and it's relatively fast
That’s kind of its own challenge though, the fun part here is using potions and knockback to get around Unconventional movement is more interesting than simply banning wasd
There's a type of ice block that will let you keep momentum , if you make a hell bridge... oh that would make it difficult actually. But if you could somehow, you could get hit by the wall and keep momentum the whole way
he could randomly teleport to hell, use the sand technique, die 1000 times to hell enemies, and repeat until he has a frozen slime bridge. thats not even considering killing king slime for the solidifier to craft the frozen slime, getting enough gel and ice for a bridge, and the fact that once in battle, if he gets knocked too far, the wof won't be killable anymore ...but nonetheless though, i do actually like that idea in theory.

This challenge absolutely makes even Classic mode brutal. But I always laugh at how pitifully trivial classic mode is outside of the most painful challenges. Definitely helps with challenges that would have been impossible otherwise. Or if not impossible, than challenges that would have just been brain numbingly tedious and unfun to do in expert.

Some bosses stay pretty much the same in Classic/Expert (EoC, King Slime, Destroyer, Brain, WoF, Destroyer, Queen Slime, Golem, Fishron, Daytime EOL) Skeletron, Queen Bee and Plantera are the only ones that change drastically in Expert.
I used one of these early on in a hardcore run; it spawned me near the ocean, on a cave. I took one (1) step to the left and I instantly blew up via a dynamite trap. I will never forgive these potions.

I've never heard Wand of Sparking's voice before, but its actually very similar to what I would expect. Also, he kinda sounds like Technoblade which makes me happy
I thought of a similar challenge in the past, only being able to move in one direction with multiple Worlds allowed. I'd thought that water buckets could do some work for cheesing movement, never thought about sand though, that's a good tip. I think bombs might be useful for disabling dead man's chest traps, sticky bombs might be handy, a little late for this run but something to keep in mind if anyone else is trying.
I was there too!! It was nice, fun, and lot of ppl got gifted membership. Hint for future, as the sand is main source of horizontal movement, though u prolly know it already after BoC/EoW, one can buy tons of bear, and shimmer it until sand, I like it, cuz it means that I can avoid destroying my deserts, but for u it'll be just easier i think. The main problem will be finding tavernkeep i think.
Heyo, I got a idea for a Terraria challenge, for mr. wand or anyone. You have to beat master mode with the "feral bite" debuff. The feral bite debuff is gotten through bats or duke fishron in expert mode, but I imagine it could be applied infinitely through mods. It basically boosts your attack, but lowers life regen and applies certain additional debuffs randomly. Imagine fighting WoF, and you die because you got the confused buff.
Oh... just realized this buff appears to be removed from computer versions. Hopefully a mod exists to get it back, or someone seeing this will make a mod for this.

Imo this challenge shoulda been approached on Journey Mode, to bypass the excruciating loot roulette a bit, and ensure you had ample supply of anything you needed for retries once you got the initial supply
you did end up using the magic mirror (who wouldn't) in this playthrough so I think you should have access to any form of teleportation (shell phone, pylons, teleporters, etc.)
A way to make this challenge some what possible would be to be remove the mouvement restriction and every 30 seconds you have to teleport with the teleportation potion
I just had an interesting idea for a playthrough but i don't know how good it would be You can only use items that don't match your world. If your world has Tin, Iron, Tungsten, and Gold, you can only use stuff made of Copper, Lead, Silver, and Platinum. If your world is Corrupted, you can only use Crimson items. If the alters give you Cobalt, Orichalcum, and Adamantine, you can only use Palladium, Mythril, and Titanium. I feel like this would be either really easy or really hard, is hard to tell.
Ok, I got a new challenge idea: A no-move challenge, but you can move using conveyor belts and the Mirrors/shells/cellphone/shellphone. Since it's a hard mode item, you can start with a full stack of them, but no more until hard mode, and you can also have a wire cutter before hardmode as well, if chat allows it.

Would the Rod of Discord be considered allowed for this run? Because it seems like it will be necessary to dodge the moonlord deathray reliably. It would also help a lot for bossfights, and the whole playthrough in general.
I did something similar to this, though it was more what could happen and what can I do, than fighting bosses That being said, if you stretch some limits (like how some actions in the game don't count as moving), no player imputs/no wasd only (Minecarts, reminiscent of the Minecart elevator in Minecraft, expensive though), and it also makes knockback viable (Also for no wasd hooks shouldn't be allowd, otherwise itd be hooks only) Overall, pretty easy and fun, unless you truly don't want to kove, in which case... Enemy knockback

you can also get whem from the gold chests which are close to the underworld
but did you know meteorite bars can be found in chests just above the underworld
One thing you didnt mention is that meteorite bars can also generate in golden chests just above the underworld level
adding on to that, gold chests can actually contain meteorite bars if you're close enough to the underworld
Another fun fact is that you can find the drax in gold chests near the underworld

Pro tip: if you make it to hardmode, use explosive bullets, you can shoot them at your feet to scoot along the floor.

i think the lava teleport at 4:00 happened because they were technically teleported on a sloped block, but low enough to touch the adjacent lava
Consider frozen slime blocks. Once you start moving on them you don't lose your momentum.
Good vid idea, start with sheild of chthulu and that's the only weapon u can use is the dash
