Rigo Cornejo lol the porter cable isn't $20 more brand new, the HF is $50 when it's on sale, the PC is usually $100 brand new. In my opinion the HF has more torque than the PC, it corrects better in my opinion.i can do a lot of correction with my HF on a 5 inch backing plate and microfiber cutting pad, my next polisher will be a rupes 21 or G21, a porter cable isn't even an upgrade from the harbor freight.
Why meg's ultimate compound vs. using griots boss correcting cream? I have the same issue and the kit I just bought has the griots correcting cream included..
Nate Lu just because the kit you bought included griots doesn't mean he needs it too.... the ultimate compound is a very good quality abrasive cutting compound. While griots is excellent, it isn't always the best choice, Mcguires professional line of products work amazing and honestly, their UC works almost as well as the ultra cutting compound.
You need to clay before using a DA, all of the contamination within the paint will get into your pad and do a few things, it will create an abrasive that you're scratching across your paint and it will tear up your pad. Also, as dirty as that pad is, you're not getting the best usage out of it. It is not going to work as it should, it will not cut or work for polishing. You don't need to buy new pads every time, just clean it.... often. Especially when cutting, you'll get clear coat into the pad, you'll get dirt/dust in there and obviously broken down product mixed with all of that. Use compressed air, if you don't have air use a brush, no brush.... use a tooth brush then but be sure to clean it. Youre just going to end up adding swirls (not the good kind from cutting) and holograms.
You got to love listening to that machine for 5 minutes straight. Came out pretty good for a dirty pad. certainly deserves a thumbs up
Job well done! 😮🤭😍
Thanks!
his arm speed is on point though. thank god. now if only you kept the cord over your shoulder. 😁

The backing plate you have there is for sanding.
Not a bad little DA but to reduce vibration get to a backing plate for polishing.
It came out great 👍🏽
