    i do not understand how insanely hard it is to switch networks. i have my entire house set up with smart devices and to reset every single little hub or whatever is the stupidest thing ever. pisses me off so much. but this video helps. thanks

      It's silly. Google needs to fix this!

      Yes, stupid, they just screwed up my whole system!

      Agree 100%.
      I have a Google Pixel 3 and a Hisense Google TV and it never asks me to factory reset those devices for any Wi-Fi related changes (and all I wanted to do was change the Wi-Fi password after I grounded my child from computer privileges). Why is that the case for Google Nest cameras and doorbell?!
      I will never understand it.

    You don't seem to mention that in selecting "Remove" you will delete all video history and all related saved clips - can be a total disaster. Google really should sort this out, but they don't seem to care much about Nest now.

      I did mention that you'll have to reset which will erase all your data!

    • @securitycameras3411
      @securitycameras3411 ปีที่แล้ว

      @WebproeducationOrgTechnology Yes, you say it will erase all the data to do with the WiFi network. That is fine and to be expected. The unexpected bit is that in resetting the WiFi Network also erases all your video clips recorded on the previous connection. For me, that is the very unexpected part that needs a big warning. I lost over two hours of clips that I wanted to keep. It seems Google really can't be bothered with supporting this system anymore. Woeful.

    This vid was awesome can I add several phones to one google cam?

    • @WebproeducationOrgTechnology
      @WebproeducationOrgTechnology  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To add several phones to one Google Cam when changing Wi-Fi connection on Google Nest Camera, you'll need to follow these steps:
      Step 1: Ensure your Google Nest Camera is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phones
      Make sure your Google Nest Camera is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the phones you want to add. This will allow the camera to communicate with the phones and enable remote viewing.
      Step 2: Open the Google Home app on each phone
      On each phone, open the Google Home app and sign in with the same Google account associated with your Google Nest Camera.
      Step 3: Add the Google Nest Camera to each phone
      In the Google Home app, tap the "+" icon in the top left corner and select "Set up device." Then, select " Cameras and doorbells" and choose your Google Nest Camera from the list. Follow the prompts to complete the setup process.
      Step 4: Grant permission for each phone to access the camera
      On each phone, you'll need to grant permission for the Google Home app to access the camera. This will allow the app to stream video from the camera to the phone.
      Step 5: Switch Wi-Fi networks on each phone
      When you change Wi-Fi networks on each phone, the Google Home app will automatically reconnect to the Google Nest Camera using the new Wi-Fi network.

      I see 'remove device" option at the bottom if you go into camera settings. Thanks for video Strange how Google haven't given the option for you to update WiFi settings without this whole process, but indeed currently no other way by the seem of it

      follow these steps:
      Remove the camera from the Google Home app: Open the Google Home app, go to the camera's settings, and remove it from the app. This will disconnect the camera from your old Wi-Fi network.
      Factory reset the camera: Press and hold the camera's reset button for about 10 seconds until it restarts. This will restore the camera to its factory settings.
      Reinstall the camera on the new Wi-Fi network: Open the Google Home app, set up the camera again, and connect it to your new Wi-Fi network.
      If you're still having trouble, you might need to try these additional troubleshooting steps:
      Check that your Wi-Fi network name and password are correct.
      Ensure that your camera is close to your router to ensure a strong signal.
      Restart your router and camera to ensure a fresh connection.
      If you've recently replaced your Wi-Fi router or changed your Wi-Fi network's name or password, you'll need to connect your Google Nest Camera to your new Wi-Fi network by following the above steps.
      Note: If you're unable to connect your camera to your new Wi-Fi network, you may need to contact Google Support for further assistance.
