6:30, Leo says something that I find very offensive based on an experience I once had. This would be around 1980 or so I was around 20 or so. This guy took me to Mickey D's for a meal around $3.00 and a movie around $2.00. I thought we had a good time but on the way home he stopped to park and made it very clear he expected me to reciprocate for the money he'd spent. all of $5.00. I was very deeply offended, he expected me to prostitute myself for 5 measly bucks. I reached in my purse and threw him a $5.00 bill and walked home. Luckily I was not accosted on the way home but heaven help anyone who did I was that steamed. How dare any man expect anything from a woman because he spends a little money? Grow up Leo!
You're lucky it only happened once. It was usually every guy, every date. ANYTHING costing 50 cents and up, and/or anything they did nice for you, you were expected to pay up by opening up your legs. Some guys were absolutely fine with telling you those expectations. Some ladies have said they have felt pressured and obligated to sleep with the guy, and I personally know that pressure. It's a TERRIBLE feeling.

I decided after that I would always insist on paying my own way to anything so he wouldn't have that to hold over me. But to think a woman should go that far with him just because he spends a few bucks. I remember once Ted on the MTM show saying something similar and I wanted to slap him. These are the same guys who will judge a woman on how many men she's slept with before deciding whether or not she's worthy to marry him. Never mind how many women he's slept with or attempted to!
When Phyllis talks about Lars you realize he wasnt stuck up like She was.I like her so.mucj better on this show compared to MTM glad they changed her character 😊

Unfortunately Phyllis is not really on VHS or DVD recording, and it's rarely syndicated. So we have very few opportunities to watch and record it.
