The actual good reason to have it in the morning is that the attendees will spend money in the local community. Holding it at night means that the city gets nothing back for being the venue. Usually if you do something at night, the unwritten rule is you pay bribes to the police or offer women of the night for the local community. They did none of those things.

There was a Grateful Dead tribute band that bought a camp ground and would put on festivals. At first they just looked the other way when it came to drug dealing but soon some unsavory types moved in and they had trouble. The band went to the cops and asked for help, tried to hire the police for security. The police blew them off. Turns out the cops and the feds were building a case against the band leader and owner of the camp ground. Turns out the camp ground was next to a park that wanted to expand. The locals didn't like the music fests so someone came up with the idea charge the band leader with drug trafficking, lock him up then seize the campground. The locals get a larger park and no more music fests. The only bright side of the story is the band leader got sent to a prison that allowed the prisoners to learn an instrument and play music. So he got to practice guitar full time for however long he was locked up.
They were clearly trying to build a case and letting it happen ive heard of this in other cases they won't nip it until they have a stack of evidence. Police are for govt protection and revenue not to protect the individual there's been Supreme Court cases over that.
This is not the only time this goes way far back in time, bud. If the state thinks that you’re doing something illegal or not, they’ve gone after innocent people over and over and even if you proven court that you are innocent, they will drop the charges right at the end of court. Turn around and recharge you for something else. There’s a video somewhere on here of a paraplegic that was charged for selling his narcotics which he was not in a jury, found him guilty and gave him 10 years . He was just taking a larger amount of narcotics because of how fucked up he was which is legal. But the state didn’t drop because they had that money they’ll to anyone. Doesn’t matter what year. Broken fucking system.
Exactly. Cops would actually have to do something if they had to catch drug deals or other crimes. Instead they bust innocent people then claim they protect and serve.
they are the enemy of the people....the more people learn that the sooner the better and one day maybe we can revamp the system .....slowly everyone learns it can happen to them
The global elite who run the world: the central banks, the multi-billion-dollar government corporations, the asinine political puppets, and of course their order-following police - they simply want the poors fighting each other, and not fighting them. And they really want most of the population's carbon footprint removed from earth. They hate everyone underneath them and especially the freedom to move around, in vehicles particularly. Once people finally realize this, everything becomes crystal clear.
What your really not realizing is there are alot of lawyers that pay some cops to be the first lawyer called for a client knowing they are probably not guilty of the crime but to get paid and the cops will arrest ppl so they can get the kick back from the lawyer so yes your right in cops are the reason we need lawyers but there are lawyers out there that get the cops to give them there clients
My wife and I were fishing in downtown Chattanooga. We got back to the boat ramp late in the evening. There was a car meet / takeover at the boat ramp parking lot. My truck was blocked in. I asked some people to move their cars so I could load up and leave. A few people got mad and started hitting my truck and keyed my truck. I called the police. I was arrested for instigating violence. Because I “poked the bear” what one officer said. Cost me 10k to fight it in court and they just dropped charges. Police are NEVER on your side

Very good point! I left Nashville 8 years ago for Los Angeles and I never looked back. I have fond memories of my childhood, my family is part of the community there, but these days it’s only gotten worse living there for many people. I found a lot of work here in CA, the car scene is way better, and the canyon drives are best in the nation. I’ll never go back.
More like if you ran a bank but someone that had an account with you was using it for illegal activities but you tried to shut down their accounts but the police would not...but then tried to charge you later for not....
Except the bank manager is a member of the local community who's economically helping the local community. This was an event where people from out of town visited an area at night when most businesses were closed and then left afterwards. Local law enforcement and the courts serve their community first and the law second. He didn't even pay a bribe when they were hinting that he should.
If found innocent in criminal court. Then you need to counter sue the state and Nashville pd for defamation and lost wages minimum. I bet there is more that a lawyer can whip up.

Local law enforcement and courts exist to serve their communities, not uphold the law. He's being made an example for using a venue without giving anything back. They kind of hinted that he needs to pay a bribe when they refused to arrest the street racers.
What sucks is they can charge you with a bunch of BS charges, and even if it does get dismissed your still out all the legal fees. You cant recoup the costs to defend yourself against a over aggressive DA. The judge should have tossed this at your preliminary hearing.

Reminds me of a local case with a nightclub. It's the 90s, ecstasy is everywhere and a local nightclub owner is tearing his hair out trying to stop it. He asks the police to post officers in the club regularly, even offering to pay for the officers to be there, and the police simply responded saying 'we can't do that'. The owner posted extra bouncers and banned people for anything to do with drugs whenever it was found. Meanwhile the council was trying to buy the nightclub - it's a historic venue and the council wanted to do up the street that the club is on. However, the council always massively lowballed their offers and they were all rejected. The council commissioned a report on the club and one of the findings of the report was that the value of the building would be significantly less if it were unoccupied. Surprise surprise, a few months later there was a police raid and they found drug dealers in the club. Nothing in the private areas, nothing connected to the club owner, nothing to do with the staff, just punters doing 90s club scene things. The owner was however arrested and charged with allowing drug dealing on his premises, and the club was shut down. He was sent to jail for 9 years and the council made another dirt cheap offer, pointing out that the building was now no longer a busy nightclub and effectively abandoned, hoping that the owner would be forced to accept in order to alleviate his financial issues from fighting his case. However, he rejected it, and has done so ever since. He was offered 1.5m for the building a few years back but he said he'd rather give it to the city for free in return for an admission that he was innocent. The offer was rejected and the building still stands derelict. If they want to hang you the police will more than gladly facilitate crime and stand aside, just so they can get you.
Well, as the event holder, he should be paying for security, not the taxpayers. Instead, he's made a video complaining about the publicly funded police not providing free security for his private event.
An out-of-towner holds an event for other out-of-towners at night when all the businesses were closed and then desires the services of local law enforcement. Yeah, that's how you get cops to punish you quickly. They serve their community, not the law. He was even given a chance to pay a bribe and he didn't.
When you set up an event in another town or city, you have to make sure the event economically benefits the venue. If your event fails to do that, then cops will want a bribe for their efforts. If a bribe isn't offered and adult services aren't provided for the communities men so they don't abuse their own children or pay local women, then you're robbing the community in the eyes of law enforcement and the courts.

Very similar to my situation these last two years. Cops showed up to my house with 24 charges regarding group rides and TH-cam videos. Certain groups show up to my big rides and run lights, mess with cops, etc. and it all comes back to me. Not worth it anymore sadly.
That's because non-locals came to your community and didn't economically benefit it. Also, you didn't pay a bribe. Cops don't like it when the community is used by outsiders who give nothing back. The only reason the courts didn't throw the book at you was because you're a member of your community.
Everyone reading your comment should know that is how the police state starts. When you want to do something that you, as a free citizen, should be able to do, but it's not worth it because the police might not like it (even if it's legal) and try to put you in prison for years, then you're not really free anymore.
@@michaelwtm that’s BS. People should realize that when you ORGANIZE something, you are perceived to be the ORGANIZER. This is to protect the people going to the event and the location where it is held. If you don’t want to be held responsible, don’t organize it. And for the law it’s not much different if you’re a professional or someone sharing a date on the socials. So why is this? It’s to prevent people from organizing socially disruptive meetings over and over. So it’s to prevent you from criminals doing criminal shit and keep getting away with it. So yeah it’s really effing stupid when criminals take over your event but it’s still YOUR event, which makes YOU liable for all the damages that happen next.
It's as if someone held a music festival, some random guy who attended was selling drugs, got caught, but the person throwing the event was arrested and charged as a drug lord. It doesn't make sense to charge the event holder over the actions of someone else acting maliciously.
Event holders do bear some responsibility for putting on a safe and secure event, particularly against foreseeable problems. This guy just publicly admitted he knows this problem will occur at his events, but apparently hasn't done anything to prevent it. Adding "no burnouts or donuts" to the flyer isn't enough and if he wants the police to actually be involved and help him do his job, then he needs to pay them to have special police details present. In other words: he's too cheap to hire security and is complaining that the taxpayers won't foot the bill for securing his event.
@@JH-wd6dp Where do you get that from? He said he attempted to contact the police for assistance and got no reply. He never said he expected it to be free. Also, if the police are present there anyway, why not do their jobs while they're there or notify him that he will be held responsible for what happens instead of just charging him out of nowhere for 5 car shows that police were present for. There's a right and wrong way for police to operate. This is the wrong way. They're trying to claim 5 riots happened in their presence, but they did nothing. @@James-vn8zb He made no mention of trying to hire any kind of security, police or otherwise, and neither him nor the police have mentioned any sort of security being present. All he said was he emailed the police to come assess the locations and he received no response. Translation: he asked them to do security consulting and they declined by not responding. As well, it's important to know exactly when he started "asking for assistance." "if the police are present there anyway, why not do their jobs while they're there or notify him that he will be held responsible for what happens" You're assuming they weren't doing their job, but one part of doing their job is the collection of evidence. Keep in mind this video is only his side of the story. The police's side appears to be their presence at some of the meets was because they were already looking at who was organizing the events. The police are under no obligation to give people advice, especially during an investigation. By his own statements, he didn't start looking at getting things like permits, permission, and insurance until things had already started to go wrong, in which case I suspect the police were already building a case against him. They went after the root of the problem (illegal/poorly managed car meets) instead of the symptoms (individual drivers attracted to the meets).
@@JH-wd6dp He did try to get the cops there, they never replied. All they had to do was reply saying "heres the process, heres the cost..." but they never did. In Other words, The cops didnt want to be there to do their jobs.
Those officers showing up to each event were there for a VERY SPECIFIC reason..... They were GATHERING as much evidence as possible to create a case.... They weren't there for everyone's safety.
They were probably looking for a bribe. The event was held at night therefore local businesses didn't earn much money from the travelers. In such a situation, someone holding an event either pays a bribe or provides women and girls to provide the services the community wants but doesn't want done by its own citizens. Cops exist to protect the community, not people who pass by and used the community to their benefit while giving nothing back.
I wouldnt put that to chance say you get a few assholes on your jury who see the pictures of all the people and hear riot and agree with that you gotta let the lawyers handle this one and go at them for the riot stuff since he didn’t incite a riot they can get it thrown out with facts instead of relying on a jury for his future

Ok, Here's how these things go down: 1. Cops show up to make sure things don't get too out of hand, but they don't start busting folks out of concern that if they do, it will get out of hand . 2. Some "official" (probably a local politician or other high-placed individual) gets wind of these gatherings and wants them shut down. 3. Said "official" complains to the Police brass that they aren't "doing enough" to stop them. 4. This goes down the chain of command in the department that officers need to "do something". 5. What's easier than going after the organizer(s)? That'll put a stop to it.
That said "Official" is usually a Prosecuting Attorney that works for an Attorney General and they're trying to score more points on their Performance review to keep their job in the AG's office. aka another useful idiot.

The State Police were always there (a DOT facility was across the small 2 lane street from the restaurant so they said it was to "protect that"), everyone always had a chill time. Only takes 1 or 2 idiots to break the fun!
Totally agree, cops in MD will have the entire force parked at a cars n coffee event, but when I gave a call to the local department when I heard a takeover happening a few blocks over they said they cant go because they're not allowed to chase. They wait until an accident happens to react...
no chase is the dumbest thing ive ever heard of. there was a guy on my boat who would get together with his friends and theyd all street race down the VA highways because if a cop threw lights on theyd just go a bit faster and theyd stop. hed been doing it every other weekend for about a year in his daily and as far as i know he still hasnt been caught.

MD cops are a special level of incompetence. I once saw a man strip naked on a busy downtown street and laid in front of traffic on an intersection. There were two cops a block away and they shrugged when I told them about it. They even saw him and said there’s nothing they can do.
He didn't pay a bribe and his event was at night so it didn't economically benefit the local community. Courts and cops value their turf more than the law and if you use it without giving anything back, then they'll punish you and make an example of you.
That's not how criminal courts work. He could sue for civil rights violations after being found not guilty, but it's very likely it would be dismissed itself. Being arrested for a crime isn't defamatory.
Counter sue who? The Tennessee taxpayer? OK, but just so you know none of that will matter to the cops. As far as they're concerned you can sue until the cows come home. They're not paying it.

The best way to do these is rent the Fairgrounds, charge admission and police it yourself on private property. Once the leave and get on public streets, then the police cane enforce traffic laws. This was the way it was done for years when CarCraft Magazine would host the Street Car Nationals here in Indianapolis. And other organizations like Four Wheel Jamboree do the same to this day.

You're assuming they weren't doing their job, but one part of doing their job is the collection of evidence. Keep in mind this video is only his side of the story. The police's side appears to be their presence at some of the meets was because they were already looking at who was organizing the events. 5. That said "Official" is usually a Prosecuting Attorney that works for an Attorney General and they're trying to score more points on their Performance review to keep their job in the AG's office. aka another useful idiot.

The arrested my dad on the spot, impounded his truck and threw 4 charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon on him. It's taken us 3 years to get his charges dropped down but we had to fold because we simply couldn't afford to pay the attorney anymore. Having sold a bunch of tools and vehicles from our homestead. Anyways guy tickets me after all that and swears up and down I wouldn't lose my license, for context in Massachusetts one infraction on your JOL can turn into a 6 month suspension. Driving to work 2 months later I get pulled over and told I'm driving on a suspended license and being charged for it.
