The first screw spin is the hardest try to hold one of the side brush arms and then open the screw and try to do it with flat screw that have the same size of the screw it will be easier
I recently had to repair one of these. I noticed that the wrap-around front bumper section was full of compacted muck, which was enough to affect the operation of the sensors. Result was the robot hitting furniture hard. The bumper is removed by a number of small screws on the bottom.
Great video. The brushes have soft foam tubes inside them. I took my brushes completely apart by sliding the center rail of each brush out completely. It's a bit hard but they come out. Soaking the brushes in water just traps moisture inside the foam. I have a self emptying charging station and if any water gets into it it will destroy the motor. So once they are completely apart you can let the pieces dry for a few hours and it goes back together and works fine.
I got a used I robot from a friend.. I downloaded the i robot app. I just want to ask if it does draw a map of the rooms? Like the roborock vacuum ? Or it doesn't support this option ? How would i know the areas that it cleaned ? Also wn I press the home button , it doesn't go back home .. wts the problem ?
I can’t seem to reinstall the second brush. Is there supposed to be a gray plastic cap on the end on the right side. It’s like it’s too long to go back in.
yes each one of the main brushes need to have a gray plastic try to make sure this plastic fit till the end and make sure you putting the brush at the right side it wont fit in both sides
Hey bobbi slavin first thanks for watching the video. the Irobot manufacturer recommend to replace to a new filter every 2 months. I have 2 dogs with a lot of fur so I replace the filter every month.
I cannot get the 2nd roller in! It doesn’t fit. It’s too long. But it can’t be, right?! I’m pushing the one end, trying to get the other end to simply settle in its place & latch it closes. I didn’t lose any spring, -_-
Thank you for your help. Simple and to the point.
Terrific video! Easy to follow and exactly what I needed! Thank you.
Well done. Thank you. I was doing everything except washing the rollers with soapy water. Great tip! Have a great day!
I'm very glad to hear, now just keep persisting with thos cleaning methods and your IRobot wont stuck at all.
Thanks for watching
Wasn't able to unscrew the side brush. Screw was on there tight! Appreciate the video!!

@@icanfixit6650 thanks for the quick reply. No dogs here, lol. So once a month sounds ok.
The filter material allows you to clean it with compressed air, you don't need to replace it as soon.. maybe every 5-6 months.

I wish I didn’t see your comment cause I just bought it from Sam’s the other day for more $.
Would be easier to follow without the music.
My Roomba makes alot of noise when its cleaning.
Hey thanks for watching make sure you don't have something stuck on your main brush rollers its the number 1 reason for noises around the Irobot.
