Thanks for the video. Very useful. I have Roomba e6 and the steps are the same. My wheels were harder to pull out, maybe because it was the first time, but with some “love” they came out.
thank you for the video it helped out a lot. I wasn’t using enough strength so I said screw it let’s not be careful and just do it the way you did it and pried it aggressively.
Thank you for this! I was able to get both wheels out fairly easily with these instructions and was able to give them a nice wash and take out a bunch of jammed up hair!!!
This was helpful. I’m exploring your page, and maybe I just haven’t found it yet, but it would be SUPER HELPFUL to have a video showing specifically how to clean dried… perhaps dog vomit? From all of the parts. Not that this is the situation I’m in, just making a recommendation for your future videos. 😂
much easier than disassembling the gearbox to remove the wheel. I have a video idea- I have a Roomba 960 and it has banged its little IR sensor eye that sits above the front impact sensor into my refrigerator door so many times that it is now wobbly and will no longer dock itself with the charger as I suppose it can no longer find it. it just pushes it around until the battery dies lol
One wheel was spinning freely, the other wouldn't move much. I did this and both were jammed with collie fur. Got them cleaned out, but when I pressed the wheel back together neither one will move now.
You have to press pretty firmly in order to get the gears to align back. It takes me quite a bit of strength to press them back in. Perhaps that is your issue.
Anyone have any tricks if you can't pry the wheel off w/ screwdrivers? I'm afraid of breaking the plastic housing. Not sure how hair can get in there, but I can't get it off. 🤔
That plastic has never broken on me so you can pry hard if necessary. Or not and you can just buy a whole new wheel assembly from iRobot. They sell the modules for somewhere around $30-40
I just fixed my Roomba with this tutorial. Thank you!

Very clear and staightforward video. I was able to clean my roomba after watching it. Thanks!
Thank you. 980 worked similarly though screws were bit hard to reach.

Thank you for the video !!!
Thank you, that works!

lol problem is, I usually turn those vacuums away. I just can’t handle the odor 🤮
@@richardsvacuumcenter lol, then maybe a video on how specifically (like with what?) to clean if you have dried messes? Alcohol, etc? 😁
Thanks bro!❤

Thank you. Coherent presentation. I can’t get the side brush unscrewed.
Are you keeping the side brush from spinning while unscrewing?
Try lifting up the brush while you’re unscrewing. The screw could be stripped and it’s not wanting to lift out
wow, your are great
I am afraid to broke the wheel when using the little screwdrivers...
That’s the first I’ve heard of the wheel breaking. Sorry to hear that. The wheel modules are somewhat inexpensive

I do, but after still message from roomba wheel left locked?!? I must reset something?
Could be something in the gears. It might be best to replace the wheel module

Same here but they did not break, surprisingly 😊 One was very hard to pull out but in the end it did.
Very good tutorial. To the point. Just try to curb the umms a little bit. 😊
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback
Your video was tremendously helpful. Thank you very much @richardsvacuumcenter
