    As someone who programs and auditions a lot of MIDI, it blows my mind at how handy Track Lanes can be in that context. I don't have to create separate tracks just to save some ideas, I can now switch quickly what MIDI I want to hear by just switching the track lanes. 🔥 Thank you for showing that you can actually put in different clips in the different track lanes; I thought it was just for takes.
    "Comping into an empty lane" just blew my mind! I know this feature is in other DAWs, but I'm just glad it is available to us now.

      Real talk... It has many different things it can help with like you said recording midi takes... Vocal takes... Audio files it might even work on automation the possibilities are definitely open... Thank you for watching....😀🙏🏾

      I'm the same, and track lanes are so much more intuitive for me than the Take facility - yes, it works, but it feels really clunky, like other areas of Reaper. Am still trialing the software (coming from Mixcraft), but these UI / feature updates in Reaper 7 have won me over. Track spacers are great too.

    3:02 That's because you're trying to drag the spacer to the end of the list...where it's empty space anyway. If you tried it on your second track from the top you could drag it down below the 3rd.

    I'm pretty sure you can't move the bottom spacer down because there's only a single track below it. You don't need a spacer at the end of the last track. I'm guessing if you add another track to the bottom you can then drag it down.

    • @learningreaper

      It's not a virtual midi keyboard it's a script called MX Tuner. It allows you to tune your notes on the fly to lock it to a key of your choice. I have a video showing how to setup and use it in Reaper... Let me know if you have questions...😀🙏🏾

    I was hoping they would add a gain staging knob for every track, so we can keep our sliders at 0dB, and lower every track individually to -18dB. Right now I'm using the Klanghelm VU Meter on each track. I calibrate it to -18dB, and then link the right/left & lower it until it hits 0 on the meter. I'd rather just have a simple knob on each track. I've seen it in another DAW.

    • @learningreaper
      @learningreaper  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea that would be a good idea... I used Cakewalk for a long time and it has a gain knob in the mixer helped a lot... You should do a request to get the gain knob added ... I'm pretty sure someone else had requested this tho... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾

    Reaper is a good DAW with almost too many features could you give your take on Reamenus and Reatooled. I use them both although with Reamenus you have to familiarize yourself with its menus like the resource folder which now is under the file menu instead of the Options menu, and then Reatooled adds pro tools functionality to Reaper but is this possible with Reapers script and modifiers. Thanks in advance.

    • @learningreaper
      @learningreaper  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't use any of those scripts... You can modify Reaper so much that I don't really use menus everything is in my tool bars that I frequent... Or I create a short cut with a key command... Never a big pro tools fan so never really got a solid workflow from pro tools ... You can make Reaper function like any other DAW that's the power of the DAW... You can even get different themes to match the other DAWs weather that's FL Studio... Cubase.. Cakewalk and even protools.. you just have to make your own work flow... Hope this helps .😀🙏🏾

      What you can do is load the new version on a flash drive so it won't interfere with the 6.8 version you have.. yes Reaper can boot from a flash drive and work flawlessly... Hope this helps...😀🙏🏾

      If you see where the tab is for one of those things you can hold down the click on it and drag it around your UI.
      I can't remember the terminology but try looking up "changing Reaper layout" or "changing Reaper view"
