Hello Mr ike, I ve really learnt alot from your videos, keep it up sir. Just one request.......
Can you do a video on how to do a proper calculations on the size batteries, panels, charge controller and inverter needed for a small house hold or a large household, cos alot of us do try and error on our calculations

Yes, I wanted to know how to connect as many batteries as I wish to a UPS, especially if they are 12 V 100 Ah batteries. The UPS should have an amp limit, which means the wires have to be changed. But what wires do I have to change, and how do I connect a large number of batteries to virtually any UPS? What we are trying to do is basically connect maybe 100 large deep cycle batteries and use a transfer switch to switch it from AC to DC without damaging the UPS or the switch. (Purpose: longer run time)

This can work but the challenge here is that the UPS will struggle to charge that large amperage and that could sulphate the battery

@@smilinsunsmilinsun8056 yes, but that's the reason why you use a charge controller to charge the batteries, and the UPS would only be there to switch over, if I can find out what wires I need to change I will do a video, but I found a couple of videos that can give you some references. th-cam.com/video/2DHRezbPwCs/w-d-xo.html

It would make more sense to use 1kva inverter with the proposed battery and still attach the UPS to it

@@teslapark3406 well thats the part you didnt explain, it been connected to Solar. If Solar is taking care of the charging then go ahead connect the battery to it ,it will work. Monitor it if the wire heats up change the wire gauge to something bigger. 6mm or 10 mm will be fine

I connected my ups to an external battery and remove the inbuilt battery and it is working, is it not ideal?

Not bad but the internal charging system will probably take a while to charge the big battery

Do I still need a charge controller with my luminous inverter if I am not using solar panels? I want ro procure an inverter and tubular batteries as a backup system without solar panels, so i will like to know if i still need a charge controller.

No you dont need a charge controlller , charge controllers only works with the Solar panel .Your inverter has an in built battery charger pls go ahead and get it. kindly subscribe to our channel if you havent
