Ale with such a tasty treatment of Flea's bass line. I love it. Dany's vocals so demanding. Pau with the feel of the brushes and cross-stick work. This performance really makes me convinced they can play just about any genre and style. And glad to know that it is a stunt bari in the background! 😜No reeds will be harmed in the filming of these reactions!
They were totally awesome. Ale making that bassline look so easy. Dave Navarro on guitar, and Flea on bass in the Alanis studio version. Yeah, Dany is getting the emotion, but she did 'clean up' the lyrics slightly, lol. This was kind of a full circle moment too. The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor Hawkins passed away. Taylor played drums for Alanis on the Jagged Little Pill album tour.
FWIW: it was the family-friendly/radio-friendly rendition... same as was done for radio airplay in places where they didn't simply beep the word(s) out...
Make no mistake, Dany has always been a wonderful singer with a unique, beautiful voice. Even when she was 14 singing Enter Sandman in The Warning cave she was already really good. She has worked on that already great voice and made it even more gorgeous and powerful.
Absolutely awesome cover!! Amazing Dany's vocals, Ale's bass lines and Pau's groovy drumming! These sisters are the Queens of the music scene! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Yes indeed, Ale on the bass, so fluid, watching those long fingers dance on the frets, just the cool bass Goddess. But the breakdown, with Dany's soaring voice over the atmospheric strummed chords...the word is "frisson", that little thrill and chill and rush she delivers before the last chorus. Nothing better. Its the moments TWB brings us.
I knew as soon as I saw this posted that Dany would kill it. Her vocals have just reached a whole new level in the past couple years to where I think she's truly one of the great voices in rock today. And yes...Ale's bass work here is just funky cool.
Queens of the Rocker Scene TW....🤟😎🖤⚡♨️🇲🇽 They are everything is good in the Rock music, They are as if the soul and spirit of the greatest rock bands claim their place at the same time.
Love how they made the song kind of PG13. When asked in an interview what her favorite FU breakup song was, Pau said ,You Oughta Know. Ale's bass cover is exceptional. You should hear the enhanced video that Don-Music channel put out. Ale's bass is phenomenal in it!! Well worth the listen.
Hi! I agree 100 %. And I think this is a very beautiful cover; it`s cool rock, but also smooth and nearly mystical, emotional and musically top!!! 🤩😛🤗😍 I love it! Greetings from Germany...
Dany has matured so much vocally. She could not have pulled this off 2 years ago. Paulina is nothing but cool back there (she does have a hiccup) see if you can spot it because you wont hear it. Ale is silky smooth with the perfect bass line.
Epic just about sums it up, Bob! They all slayed this. The three of them effectively replaced the veteran studio musicians who accompanied Alanis on the original, with Dany doing double duty on guitar and vocals, which HAS to be tough, but she nails it. Pau is tastefully restrained when needed, and tastefully bombastic when needed. Ale just sizzles underneath it all, showing us her jazz roots, effectively trading lead parts with Dany so seamlessly, we don't notice. Dany owns that vocal, every word of which is clearly enunciated and delivered with the precise amount of sarcasm, angst, or anger it deserves. She looks like she's staring down the guy, as he sits there at dinner in a fancy restaurant, with his new "squeeze" across the table from him. I imagine in real life, that lady would get up and run out, flailing her arms, screaming something nasty. Pau says this is her favorite "bad breakup song." I'd love to hear her sing HER version of it. I have probably seen this 50 times, now, and it keeps getting better.
@@robertor4531 Yeah, that's significant, too! I've known quite a few multi-lingual kids, hosting exchange students over the years. The Warning probably speak/sing better English than half of U.S. Americans.
Man great comments William and I totally agree. They just continue to shine and blow me away. Their growth is happening by leaps instead of steps. They could be heading for the hall of fame in about 25 years. We get to see it all unfold. Priceless.
Bob, thanks for another great analysis to The Warning. They killed this cover. I just bought tickets to see Angelina Jordan's Christmas show in Los Angeles, on December 14th. Appears they are only selling around 400 tickets. What a treat to enjoy such a great artist, in a small venue.
Great reaction and yes I agree there is no better band to cover this epic song than The Warning:) I have a saying that is similar to that shirt "Music is my Drug of Choice":)
Thanks Bob. Everyone that knows The Warning is having a great time with Pau looking so chill with her sunglasses and laid back drumming, doing just what she needs to. Everyone is in absolutely top form, Dany is awesome. Perfect choice for them on so many levels
Same, but Pau has said in their USA MTV Push interview (and maybe elsewhere) that this is her favorite break up song. Might have influenced the choice.
Cool shirt, it's my therapy too. For me Dany steals the spotlight here, her voice just fits this song so naturally, but Ale casually crushing Flea's bassline while thinking about what she wants for dinner is definitely a very close second!
Great reaction Bob! This cover is so great. Their career started with the ES cover. Every song they’ve written is absolute 🔥🔥🔥. Wouldn’t it be ironic if the next wave of growth in their brand was due to this little cover of another classic rock song? After all, they didn’t just cover You Oughta Know, I think they surpassed the original and a whole new generation is just learning that song exists.
Thanks for the kind words. You are totally right how they owned this and yes I actually had someone comment that they bought the old Alanis cd because if this. My complete thought is they ripped this song up and everyone better look out cause they are coming and the hurricane is about to hit. Awards movies hall of fame. I could see it all in Their future.
Thanks Bob...missed the live but did watch this. Great reaction...love the shirt..will be checking it out. The talent of the Ladies just took a song I liked back in the day and made a song I now Love!!! Dany's vocals are outstanding, Ale's jazzy Bass licks are incredible (she was trained at 10 on Jazz Bass and it shows) and of course our "Matrix" Girl "Trinity" incognito slaying the percussion as usual. They are simply incredible!!! Cheers.
I still have my CD of "Jagged Little Pill." I can't tell you the last time I listened to it, but I used to know every song word for word. This song had the most complicated bassline I knew how to play, at least until I turned my attention to Yes and Rush. I like the shirt, Bob. It's true for me as well. When my dad passed in January of 2020, I used music as a way to comfort me. Unfortunately my music collection had grown stale. That's when I found music reaction videos and started watching reactions to Nightwish, a band I'd been listening to since around 2002 or so. I kept seeing recommendations for BAND-MAID, so I eventually gave them a shot and fell in love right away. I found a lot of Japanese rock and metal bands thanks to that, then started branching out into the rest of the world. I quickly found Jinjer and Unleash the Archers and The Warning and many others. So yeah, if music wasn't my therapy, I wouldn't be here.
Hey PaleHorse! I knew every word and ever song on that album too. I still have it. I totally get it on looking for new music and music helping you through difficult times. It’s always there to help you to feel better. This channel has helped me to explore and find new and interesting music too. It’s been a fun ride! Thanks for coming along on the trip!
It's literally impossible to top the original, because of how personal and autobiographical it was for Alanis. That said, I think this is is good a cover as one could ask, especially from someone who hasn't (to the best of our knowledge) experienced it.
You can’t deny that there’s always that one song that can make you happy just by listening to it, or, give you courage when you need it. That brush was quite popular in the 50’s. It was an interesting choice of guitar tone during the single notes. Wondered about wearing her sunglasses while back in the shadows lol.
@@glennelfmann3143 And stage lighting doesn't bother her? They've played under some outrageous lighting conditions. I think lack of makeup is more likely. Performers are especially likely to delay applying makeup when they go to an interview or event like this during the day, before they have a show at night. There are a few videos of their meet-and-greet sessions where two or three of them are wearing shades in a fairly dimly lit area.

Many reactors just say a song is good, and nothing else, but you actually did a detailed reaction and analysis. Thanks! You're right; this cover is Epic. Yes, Alanis is great at darkness/ angst, and Dany was able to capture it and make it her own by choosing to ramp-up the aggression all while playing Dave Navarro's guitar part. Pau was great, and yes the brushes! In using them Pau added to the Funky/ Jazzy vibe. Yes; Ale Slayed on Bass! If you listen to the original you'll hear that Ale modified Flea's Bass-line and injected the playing style of the Legendary Bassist Jaco Pastorius. It was perfect; Jaco is Ale's greatest influence, Ale started playing Jaco's catalog at 9, Ale's a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock, and it was an ideal choice for this song.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I love this song too. The ladies killed it and that makes total sense that Ale is a trained jazz bassist. You can just hear it. I really enjoy checking out the new music and giving my take on things and explaining some things. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate your kind words. You made my day!
I got the feeling they were perfectly comfortable slaying this song. Ale and Pau are the essence of cool, here, and Dany gets to act like the "rocker chick with attitude" in a way she's so very good at.
Such a great reaction, and of course, such a great cover. This was a great album from Alanis, and this was in my opinion the best song off that album. And as you said, this was a perfect song for Dany. My biggest complaint is that Ale's bass was not loud enough. It's such an epic bass line (which was originally recorded by Flea), and she played the FUNK out of it!
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was Feeling it (Pau's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!! Ican only hope that they do Ironic cover also 🤞... And after I saw this cover, I bought Alanis Morissette's album LP "Jagged Little Pill" at the same day. ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
@bobcieslinski no worries, Bob, the analysis and reaction were as always on point. Man, the baseline was so smooth... you can tell how Ale was taught with Jazz and Funk flair by her teacher Pablo González.

Alanis went out with the guy that played Uncle Joey from Full House and after they broke up she wrote this song about him.
I did not know she dated him. Thanks Mike!
Hey Mr.C it Kyren love vids keep it up
Thanks Ky’ren!
Ale on bass makes it look like she could do this sound asleep.
In this one for sure.
Amazing cover, I just missed the f word that brings more anger to it
With Alanis you needed it but with these ladies I think the new way works perfectly.
❤❤❤❤❤
TW🤟. Jagged Little Pill
Yep great album.
!!!GOODISM¡¡¡ The Warning is 100% 🔥 !!!🎵Ole Ole Ole Oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Hi!
Great comments! That bass is so funky. You can always have more bass.
Omfg can she sing

!!!The Bass¡¡¡ !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Aleee Aleee🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Hi Argentina!
Curious...what are the odds this makes it onto Spotify? And is this now the property of Sirius XM?
I don’t know that SXM shares their special studio recordings with any other platforms. They haven’t even officially released it on TH-cam yet.
I wonder too. I checked Apple Music and nothing. 🥲
I had the cassette for the car. The tape was stolen. That’s all that they took. She had a crook that was a fan.
😂that’s funny Mark.
❤
👍👍 !!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The Warning verdaderas maestras de la música y del rock
🤘🤘🤘
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was Feeling it (Pau's favorite breakup song), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!!
Ican only hope that they do Ironic cover also 🤞...
And after I saw this cover, I bought Alanis Morissette's album LP "Jagged Little Pill" at the same day.
⚡Viva The WARNING⚡
NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
Ironic would be so cool too.

Sorry I missed you in the chat today Alejandro. I was coming from my lunch duty.
@bobcieslinski no worries, Bob, the analysis and reaction were as always on point. Man, the baseline was so smooth... you can tell how Ale was taught with Jazz and Funk flair by her teacher Pablo González.
Apparently they change a bit lyrics....DPA forever!!
Yep but it was a good change. It was a language thing.

Hi, I found your channel today and I have question to you. Your last name is Celinski so you need to have grandparents from Poland. Am I right?
I’m from Poland so greetings from our country!
Yes my grandparents spoke Polish and English. Only Polish when they didn’t want me to hear what they were saying. I’ve learned a couple of phrases from my Dad. Nice to hear from Poland!🇵🇱
Locura!!!
Incredible cover, Dany Vocals and guitar work
Are so amazing. You ask for support and so I did and you still have not Reacted to the song I requested?
What song did you request and what support did you give? I really don’t have any place where people pay for reactions except in Patreon where the members do get to choose reactions.
The song request was: "When I'm Alone (from the Pepsi Center) I tried to send a copy of an email with more information but it keeps saying error.
I paid you $15.00 with Buy Me A Coffee sometime before October 7:
You still have Buy Me A Coffee account...
They make it look effortless, but it is anything but, one of their best covers to date.🤘
Totally agree Robert.
This is lame comparing this to their Enter Sandman rendition, that was killer. I'm convinced that if they took a dump on stage you guys would love it. Call this what it is, lame at best.
Sorry you feel that way John. I’m guessing you didn’t like the original either. Enter Sandman is one of my all time favorites by Metallica. I do think The Warning covered it well.
@@bobcieslinski As I stated, they killed that, this is garbage lame
Hey Bob, I guess little 12 year old Ale warming up on Jaco Pastorius bass riffs really paid off in the long run. Don't you think? 🎸🤘❤🔥
Completely. If you can even play any of Jacos stuff you are headed for stardom.
