@@MicheleThiella Flea apparently delivered that off time and it had to be fixed by the studio techs. Ale just sits there quietly, legs crossed, casually - as you say - nailing it. Man, she's good 💙
I'm convinced that there's no 'cover' they aren't able to kick up a few notches, adding their incredible sibling dynamic to craft amazing performances.
Dany's vocals are spectacular, she inhabits "You Oughta Know" as if it's her story, all while playing Dave Navarro's guitar part. Ale plays killer Bass; Ale's so skilled/ chill she acts like she's doing very little when she's playing a very difficult Bass-line, which she's actually modified from the original. (I fully expected Ale to start drinking a Pepsi without missing a note.) Ale seamlessly melded Flea's bass-line with the crystal clarity and Jazz-based progressions of her hero, Jaco Pastorius, considered the greatest Bassist of all time. Pau drumming (silently singing along) also injects Jazz, especially with brushes. I know Pau's in a glass-booth for sound quality, but I can't shake that someone at SiriusXm is scared of Pau and thought it was best not to take chances.
Ale's Bass....superb, to much talent in this room. Should be illegal. 😎😎 Professionalism at the highest of levels and so young... the world is their oyster as they say. Thanks Jesse. Always liked this song from back in the day, Now I Love this song thanks to the Sisters.
There's nothing flashy about this cover, it is all about tasteful grooves, textures and vocals, that fit the song, as per usual. Pau & Ale are really grooving in perfect sync.
I think that Dany adds a demanding flavor in this version. Oh, Ale playing those tasty Flea basslines. Pau with the lovely brush and cross-stick work. You can really see how well trained they are in many different genres.
I hope she wins Modern drummer best Rock drummer of 2024 and also the Drumeo award again also for best Rock drummer like she did last year. If the TWA showed up to vote I think she will.
Pau showing us why she's won awards. Simple parts are much more difficult than complicated ones, requiring more finesse and panashe. Ale channeling her inner Flea was amazing 👏 🤩 I think we can comfortably state The Warning can do no wrong 🤘⚡️
Bass waay too low in the mix though, which is why I created a remix of this using digital machine learning to separate the tracks and raise bass guitar level. You should check it out on my channel as it seems that pretty much all of TWA likes my mix. Best bass playin from her ever
Yes, a agree about Dany adding the grit to her vocals is so nice and controlled. This is just so f n good! Check out Don-Music's video for this he did an adjustment to it that sounds quite good. 🤘⚡🤘
Dany absolutely Crushed it, and Pau was feeling it also (Paulina's favorite breakup song by the way), but Ale... Thunder Goddess strikes again !!! ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
I can’t stop watching this song. They killed it! It looked like the easiest thing for them to play, too. They’re so damned tight as a band. And yes, they care DEEPLY about audio for their live shows, as seen in their videos. Glad to hear you enjoyed their live show!
I can't tell you how much I LOVE this cover. Dany's voice and Ale's bass absolutely on point. Feckin outstanding. A guy remixed the video to bring the bass up a notch and - powww Brilliant!
The Warning did the song justice and more. Thank you for your continued support of DPA and Team. Can't wait to check out your vlog and Pepsi Center content. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘
Hey Jesse, they absolutely CRUSHED that cover! Wow, this one blew me away. Knowing how iconic the original track was, I was wondering if they were up to it - silly me! Dany was phenomenal, Ale was so groovy & Pau was just chillin. So in the pocket. Thanks, man - and yes, please finish KMF, it’s a great album!
They do such a good job of this. Ale's bass playing is fire, Pau shows such amazing touch on the drums, and Dany's voice - what can you say? Great reaction, my friend.
Such great musicianship from all three! Ale's bass line - sublime. And that voice...damn Dany is a kick ass front woman! I agree that Pau was in her groove with that brush.
As I understand it, this song is featured on Rock Band 4, so they might have been playing it casually for years. It sounds so tight and well rehearsed.
Dany has yet again proved to be the most diverse voice in all of rock! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING these ladies can’t master! So thankful for The Warning🤘🫶🏻⚡️
The Warning like you've never heard them before. Obviously, they could be anyone's backing band in the industry, regardless of genre - not that expect them to do that. But I think it gives them the cred to participate in more collabs in the future. I know Don-Music has commented on this. But you should check out his remix of this. The bass and drums are enhanced a good bit. Re: the brushes. Pau has been playing drums for about 14 years and her mentors have given her extensive training in multiple styles, including Jazz. Same for Ale. You just rarely see them using those skills on their own music.
Spot on with ALL the comments! There is no way to prepare yourself to see The Warning live, no matter how many live video's you see. Yes please, finish Keep Me Fed and a Live Stream for the Pepsi Center!
Pau reminds of one of those old jazz drums back there vibing with the sunglasses on... Ale showing her jazz bass chops. Dany, she is the case for great vocalists never using pitch correction. She is intentional about pitch... when I listen with... I just hear what it would be if they used pitch correction and dragged it up. It would sanitize it. Ruin it.
everyone mentions the bass and guitar lines they play , but I'm also impressed with the actual tones of their instruments. they really do know how to use their instruments and equipment to their fullest extent. and Dany's vocals seem to improve every time she sings. and she was great when they first started.
They are so easy to listen to. So tight, every part of it just does exactly what it's supposed to do. And that freaking bass 🎉groove slays me! I expected no less
Really really great reaction to an amazing cover by TW. I’ve seen about 8?reactions to this one and yours might be the best. Dany’s vocals are so believable- their superpower is getting the listener to buy in to the feeling of the song. Ale’s bass play is just ridiculous- how can someone so young be so far advanced in her craft? They continue to blow me away.
They should add CRUSH and make it "The Warning Crush" because they CRUSH they every song, regardless of whether its their song or a cover. PLUS everyone has a crush on them too.
Pau smiling while playing excellent drums; Ale playing an exceptional bass; and Dani: vocals and guitar out of this fucking world: I love this band so much (and had the privilege to see them live).
Pau and Ale provide the groovy foundation for Dany to build upon and shine like the star she is. I believe every new song The Warning performs belongs at the top of the charts. This was awesome, Ale making that bassline look so easy. Kind of a full circle moment also. The Warning opened for Foo Fighters shortly before Taylor Hawkins passed away. Taylor played drums for Alanis on the Jagged Little Pill album tour. Saw your The Warning live stream, thanks. Told you Halestorm is awesome live.🤘🤘
Pau, for her it's like when you're walking while listening to the music you like on your headphones, but she behaves with the tranquility, calm and confidence of knowing that she is a multi-award-winning and renowned musician and with the inner peace of recognizing, being very satisfied with it, that this is not another of her moments to shine. Ale, like her sister, is developing with the tranquility that comes from years of practicing on her bass with jazz exercises, leaving in her performance her own well-known "mark" of excellence. Dany... Simply with this Dany shows us why she is the vocal leader of this tremendous power-trio... and that's it!! Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .

Bass originally played by Flea, but Ale nailed it effortlessly 🤟

There is not one moment where one might think she is not 100% bought in.
