I’ve been homeschooling for 11 years now and I agree with all your points. One thing I would add for those with a belief in God: Make prayer a part of your journey. I prayed so hard at the beginning because I had no clue what I was doing, and I saw miracles happen on my family. The windows of heaven can open up and God can literally help you know how to teach your kids. They are His too, after all.
I am the fourth of fourteen children, and my Mother has been homeschooling for over 40 years!! My youngest sibling will be graduating in the next year or so! My Mother is AMAZING!!! ❤
What I'm currently struggling with is making my homeschool more stress free. I am that mother, I fear , that's making my children feel like burdens ☹️ I am disorganized and have 4 homeschooling kids and never seem to get cooking and cleaning and schooling balance right. This video convicted me and made me realize several things I need to change and correct. Thanks again for good information given in a friendly manner. Pray for me sisters and brothers!
Bless you, I have 4 4 years and under and will be homeschooling them all. I have this fear for my future as well. I’ll be praying for u, through god all things are possible xx
Amazing that you recognised this! I know you'll be able to make the changes that work for you and your family! I'm sure they think you're doing better than you think you are! Kids are just incredible! 💕
I lack in the organization dept. What has really helped me is pre-organizing our school binder for the year. It sounds insane but it's very helpful to have it planned & divided out in advanced. It also allows me to have a list of library rental books ready to "order" 1-2 weeks in advanced which is the only "supply" we need to prep. You can see a great example of binder organization on Melanated and Well Education. Whether you agree with the rest of their style or not, her binder prep and organization is so helpful! I also ad to really look at what we were spending our time on/doing throughout the day and cut back/schedule what was really important to us as priorities.
Shorten your school days//all hands on deck for chores//Sunday dinner prep and make ahead meals🤷🏻♀️I do some of these and my house is always a wreck and my cooking par...😆it won’t last forever though. Maybe do the most important stuff first thing, take a cleaning break, and do the rest🤷🏻♀️
Hi Angela! I have homeschooled my three kids since Kindergarten. Two of them just graduated from college this month. One graduated summa cum laude in Forensic Science and one graduated magna cum laude in Psychology. My number one tip for homeschoolers who decide to continue homeschooling through high school is to gear your curriculum toward their personal goals. If they want to go to college then know exactly what their college of choice requires and go from there. Know what subjects they want to see on their high school transcript. Know what admission tests they require. Start planning for college early (by 8th grade) in order to set them up for success. Homeschooling high school is so different than homeschooling the early years for students who are aiming to go to college. Oh, and my third child is headed to college a year early for an on-campus dual enrollment program at a Christian College. So, my homeschooling years are almost done. :)
I’m halfway through this video and I’ve already nodded my head 100 times!! You are always so spot on with homeschooling advice and encouragement, my friend! 🤍
I’m surrounded by people who have a negative view on homeschool. I constantly feel like I need to prove to others that my kids aren’t behind because they are no longer in public school. We are coming to the end of our first year and planning for next year. I’m reminded during this season, not to despise the small Beginnings!! But instead, I will embrace our unique journey. I come into full agreement with not comparing myself with non-homeschool families. I truly believe that mindset hindered me and my kids this year from fully embracing home learning.
Just remember, you do not have to prove yourself to anyone. They don't get to demand an explanation or evaluate your children because it isn't their job.
You are not alone ! Homeschooling gets more exciting as time goes on. This is only my 3rd year though so I'm working to continually improve :-) good luck to you !
Maybe it also helps to remember what a priviledge it is to be able to choose homeschooling. Where I live, homeschooling is not allowed so we try to complement at least on a small scale at home. You have the chance to accompany your children in such a great way!
Angela, I can't even explain how I got here, but God put you on my screen at the most perfect time. I have 3 kids...2, 4 and 6 year old. We just moved from Massachusetts to Florida and it has been such a huge transition. With all the stress and lack of friendships, I considered sending my 2 oldest to school this year. I didn't end up enrolling them, so will be continuing our homeschool journey. Watching this video was just life-saving to be honest. I realized that I became too vulnerable infront of the wrong people (family) who are still encouraging me to send them to school. I realized I shouldn't have done that, but really hit a rough spot a couple weeks ago and now that I know this is NORMAL, I feel like I can just take this summer break to refresh, start over and keep moving forward. Thanks for all you've offered on this video. You are a God-send. So grateful for you 🙏 -Paris Fernandez (Pedro's wife)
thank you for this...I have 5 children and have been homeschooling off and on since my oldest was 4 (now 11). We just had a "lovely" pediatric appointment which resulted in them pressuring my children to go to public school and in me being asked to find a sitter next time so that the doctor could focus better. The doc also bragged about how successful her children are thanks to public school. 🙄 This video was very necessary for me.
Crummy staff Find yourself and your children another practice where they appreciate you! That doctor is either blind to her "precious" public school indoctrinations or rolls with them! You my dear are doing it right-do not send them off to public school if you can do it!
Thank you so so much for this video. I have been semi- home schooling My son ever since he was 15months old. His now in kindergarten and is way too advanced and been scoring way above average when it comes to reading and math. I’m pulling him out of the school district to full time homeschooling him. Hats off to all the homeschoolers!! 😊❤
I can’t say it enough how much I appreciate that you repeatedly say “you’re a mom, not a martyr!” This is such an important life lesson. Since my daughter was born, Ive been working really hard on learning to ask for help & understanding that my way of doing things is not the best or the only way to get things done. It is hard, but I am getting better at it.
1. Be flexible 2. Don't Compare 3. Celebrate small wins - both parents and kids need it 4. Reignite your own love for learning 5. Read, read, read (aloud) 6. Know the right (and wrong) people to take advice from 7. Have regular checkins and evaluations. 8. Make it a family affair. Take things outside too. Its also okay to outsource 9. Take care of yourself, take care of momma.
Thank you for this. This is so helpful. I am getting thrown into the homeschooling journey. My kindergartener was struggling at school and needs more support. These are great things to remember.
“Except for cleaning. They watch you clean and they don’t clean.” Ha!! I laughed out loud at this as I’m doing dishes and my troop is outside playing. Ha ha ha ha!! And then I also thought of your sweet Rosie and seeing her sweep in videos and how she likes to do that! 😊 🧹 💞
I have to say I'm very firm on folding the kids' clothes including infant clothes 😂. I also do the Kon Mari method. It helps me find the exact outfit I want and also helps my husband to find what I'm asking him to. If I just threw it all into a drawer my husband would never find anything. I also do the same as your friend lol. I like things to be neat and organized. My mother didn't fold anything growing uo and it was very frustrating until I learned to fold. To do lists are also essential for my husband and I as it helps stay on the same page with his ADHD. It's so cool to see the things that work for different families!
I felt like a parishioner in a church pew, sputtering, “yes, amen, yep, exactly, nailed it, amen!!” I have wrestled with all of these, and couldn’t agree more! I laughed out loud at, “except cleaning.” Haha, why is that? Wish I had this video and advice a couple years ago when we started out on our home education journey. My mindset completely changed when I stopped viewing what we were doing as “school” and started viewing it as “educating.” These words are used interchangeably, but are not the same. I am educating my children, shaping their hearts, and hopefully they will be lifelong learners!
Don't compare. YEEEESSSSSS. I keep trying to tell my husband that he/we cannot compare our family to others. Especially with how the house looks and what workbooks the kids complete. We have far more kids than his coworkers. We live here 24/7. We have a large homestead with animals, not a suburban postagestamp.
Thank you for your input! I am gearing up to homeschool next year and it is intimidating. I stumbled across this video and I needed to hear what you had to say.
Thank you for putting this video out. My best friend would make comments about certain things regarding homeschool that always made me doubt myself. I finally distanced myself from her (even though it was hard) to quiet my heart and mind. Through lots of prayer and just simply taking a break, I feel like I can finally think for myself and I don’t have to prove to anyone what I’m doing. I first and foremost am mom and I need that daily reminder. I don’t want my kids to say “we were too much of a burden to mom”. 😢 I do want it to be more organic and feel more relaxed on our everyday journey. I love the flexibility of homeschool. I’ve made a lot of changes…some good and some not so good. But as soon as I didn’t see something working, we quickly changed it. Now I am so at peace with the curriculum we are doing and we are have slowed down to nail down certain concepts and I’m loving that this year has been the biggest growth I’ve seen in all my year of homeschool. (This is my 5th year homeschooling). When I get burned out I literally tell my husband, you have to take over or else it will not end pretty. LOL I have another homeschooling friend that I talk to and it’s been the biggest blessing for me. It’s been so encouraging to have that person that you can go to, vent and they are so understanding and help you stay sane LOL I am also trying to keep my life balanced and stress free by being kind to myself and self-care. My kids have everything and more of what they need on a daily basis…so a little bit of me time is not selfish. I love all your videos. You are such a wise beautiful person and I’ve learned so much from you! Keep the amazing content coming!!
Just wanted to say hi. I don't home school but I watch your videos. You guys that home school have such a huge passion, a close friend of mine home schools and its just so cool to hear the work you all do. Xx
This was so good, Angela. Reading aloud is SO HUGE. We are wrapping up our 7th year of homeschooling, and I am so very grateful for other homeschool parents who encourage and keep each other going. Thank you for your encouragement and for helping to make homeschooling less intimidating for parents just starting out. ❤
This video came at a perfect time! A month ago, my husband and I made the decision to homeschool our children for the 2022-2023 school year. Their last day of school is this Friday, and I have noticed as the day approaches, I have found myself wondering if we have made the right decision. I am still excited about this new journey, but very nervous at the same time.
Crystal, You’ve got this! It will be overwhelming at times, but so worth powering through! When the doubt comes, look to other Homeschoolers via TH-cam, Facebook Groups, Instagram etc etc for some uplifting “we’ve been there” encouragement! The Homeschool community is very wise & uplifting! I have been doing my due diligence in researching the High School years as my daughter will be going into her 9th grade year this fall! Lots to research, but so worth it! The time I get to spend with my daughter every day is priceless! The years go by so fast! Sending you all my best to you and your family!🥰
I felt the same way last year. I even reserved her spot on school for next year in case. When school started I withdrew her. At the end it was the best and right choice for our family.
There's definitely a settling in period and all of us go through a struggle before finding our groove. Be gentle with yourself and take it one day at a time. ❤️
I love how you talk about reading aloud to your children. I don't have children, but my husband and I have already decided that, if we have any, we will homeschool. Well, we're getting good practice on reading aloud because my husband sometimes reads aloud to me as I wash dishes. We are firm believers in the benefits of reading (particularly actually practical, useful information, not novels) and love to read together. It's not just for children! Reading together is an excellent way for the whole family to bond together.
I love starting the homeschool days with read alouds!!! My kids are 4 and six .. I wasnt sure how they were going to respond to read alouds but they love it!! They get so into the books:)
Thank you. I know this video is 2 years old, but it was beneficial for me to hear. We just entered our second year of home schooling. And I really needed to hear the 9 Habits of Homeschooling😊.
I love the homeschooling videos, so encouraging. I’m pregnant with my sixth, and have been super burnt out with my third year of homeschooling. I have mostly come out of my funk, but still somewhat discouraged and I found your video very helpful
Angela, thank you. I needed to randomly come across this video today. I have no idea how or why it popped up on my TH-cam feed but there you were! I'm in the uk and been home schooling for 18 months. I have lately hit a wall with everything. 24 hour parenting and educating. I desperately needed to watch this to re evaluate where I am and what I want for my kids and it has given me the impetus to carry on with a new approach and not throw in the towel. Thank you x
I can absolutely relate, I had an awful school experience with my dyslexia and ADHD from elementary to middle school and my mom pulled me out in high school to "homeschool" me using K12 while working a full time job. For me it was just school at home, so I also hated it. I really struggle to absorb any new material that I am not interested in, but have found that I am able to soak in material that does interest me. I love your idea of reading to your older kids, reading doesn't come easy to me but my kids witnessing me doing it will hopefully inspire them.
Thank you for making this. I am a mom who is teaching 4 young kids and feel overwhelmed a lot of the time. I appreciate this video and is helping me recenter/focus and look at things a bit differently. So....thank you Angie!
I appreciate this much. It definitely takes adapting and growth for the teacher/parent too! My child does have severe ASD and ADHD and other disorders. It took over a year to learn to celebrate the little things. I realised a lot of my expectations came from worrying about image. I felt embarrassed that I couldn't "catch" her up (even though the public schools couldn't and I was doing better). I didn't want people to think she's behind because of me! I'm still trying not to care about that when I answer "where does she go to school?" Comes to the advice not to compare with others! I LOVE learning but I hated school. I was always an independent searcher of knowledge. Teaching is another ball game but I was surprised I started to enjoy it so much. I started to out of necessity. It unfortunately takes a LOT to inspire my kid to be interested in the same. But it feels great when it happens! 😊 I actually like the structure of a more strict schedule (I have mild autism) and sitting at the desk, more traditional methods. But I had to realise my kid thrives with flexibility. Even though many people told us to do a strict schedule due to the ASD. It took too much time away from learning. We use a Charter for her therapies and for me to have structure. So it's been a balance of teaching her to sit and focus for long enough chunks to thrive in therapy. When we learn it's not necessary with most things. We learn on the floor, on the crash pad, in the water, outside...it's fun! One of the biggest struggles for me is still the socializing. I try not to feel too bad because (doesn't help and) my child wasn't socializing at public school either. Then the pandemic threw a wrench in. She's regressed to where I need to prompt her to speak (with tablet or voice or PECS) and keep her safe from doing dangerous things or inappropriate things. It's exhausting. But important. Little steps! Taking a mental health day or week is something we learned to do! Especially when I discovered our local public schools allow random mental health days for kids now (didn't do that a few years ago). We can always make it up. Not a 9-3 m-F schedule. My health was already not great but it really suffered when I kept pushing myself and it didn't make me an effective teacher either! Need energy to really activate the learning, not just being a cranky slug. Lol
Yes! Totally agree on what you said about you need a love of learning. I didn’t have that until I got to college…..18 years thinking I hated learning and was bad at math, science, and other every subject. When really it was just the broken system that made me think those things. I’m so glad I get to pass that love of learning into my kids. Your videos are always spot on with advice ❤️ especially what you said on not comparing your homeschool to others.
So so glad you talk about growth being important i think some traditional schools have become so competitive education for them is purely a point system lifeskills and growth is so much more important.
Watched the whole thing- thought all of your advice was great. I have a few things I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on. In regards to being flexible.. I personally think one of the most helpful things to me as a child was getting into routine. Discovering the importance of routines, and of doing the same thing every week allowed me to be more focused as a kid, and jt also taught me discipline. I didn’t always feel like doing math, but I knew every Wednesday and Thursday I had an hour long math lesson.. and that’s life. 🤷🏼♀️ The discipline and habit forming routines also made me really great out in the real world. Im a single woman, and I have to work every day- can’t imagine how difficult this might feel to me if I’d spent the majority of my life having no fixed schedule. Also, having a goal is good- curriculum is good. Because it DOES matter what you’ve accomplished. And it’s good confidence building to set goals and achieve them. Idk, these are my only contrary thoughts. Great content, as always. (:
Thanks for this video! My 6 year old is in kindergarten in public school and my younger 3 are still at home. I have a child with hearing loss and one with autism. I have often thought of homeschooling as a viable future option, but have recently felt the urge to more seriously consider it (and perhaps sooner than originally anticipated). I’ve signed up for a home school conference next month and I’m really excited to learn more so that I (and my husband) can make the most informed decision for my kids.
actually my kids clean happily when i am cleaning happily. i lost them when i started getting angry or assigned them and left them alone, expecting them to stay focus when they were little and then the "got in trouble" when they struggled. so they really will be okay working if we teach them to love it as they love as we teach them to love learning
Thank you. As a grandmother thrown into out of necessity my concern & struggle w 1st grader is if mom decides to return to public schooling & when. A balance of regimented and self directed learning. Very difficult maintaining a focus as using a program w video teacher (Abeka). Don't want grand to be set for shock if have to return to public school.
You seems to be a vey nice, kind, loving, clever, authentic, funny and knowledgeable human being. Thank you for this video. May you always be successful.
I've been following you for a few months and you've given me so much encouragement. I am beginning homeschooling my upcoming 1st grader this coming year. I'm so excited and super nervous. I appreciate all of your videos!
Wish you the best of luck! Have you looked into Ainsley Arment's Wild and Free? Her book was such a huge inspiration for me when I started two years ago. 💓
My 5 yr old will begin 1st grade too next year (she will be 6 next month) and its my first time teaching 1st grade. My oldest will be in 8th, but I only started homeschooling a couple of years ago.
I personally don’t like the action of reading out loud as I find it tedious but I have to say that the benefits out weigh my comfort level. My boys are 4 & 7 and ask for read aloud time multiple times a day. We are on our third series of the year. I have been adding in an audiobook every once in a while to give myself a break.
All such amazing tips!! I listened to this while organizing craft supplies for our homeschool closet :) We are early in our homeschool journey and I love learning from experienced mamas in the home learning space, so thank you so much for this video and all that you share! xx
Thank you. Do not compare yourself to other homeschoolers! This is a very important lesson. I Learned this the hard way. We are all so much happier now that we do what works for us and not worried about what others are doing.
Thank you! 😀. These are good life habits also 😉😄. I am a part time homeschooling and I have the same thoughts as a home schooler sometimes 😳, " What was I thinking sending these kids to school! I am going to yank them out of school and homeschooling them tomorrow 😡😕." Then I remember why they are in school and strenghthen my resolve to keep them in and teach them how to be in the world but not of the world. Be a duck sometimes and do not let things stick 😄. Thanks again 🥰.
I just started homeschooling and I thank you sooo much for all of your advice from this channel! I always leave feeling more encouraged and confident ❤️
Thank you so much for your wisdom 😊 Point 6 almost made me cry. I really needed to hear that every person at some point doubts her decision to homeschool and that it is important to choose the right person to vent to and talk about the hard days. Thank you so much! I don't have a lot of people to talk to about homeschooling, for in my country (the Netherlands) there simply aren't that much people who do this.
Yes! I also agree on these points, Angela! I graduate my oldest from our homeschool this year. She just turned 18 and I still include her in our read alouds! 📚💗
Thank you so much for sharing! I also have been homeschooling for almost 17 years. Homeschooling 7 of my boys for the last couple years. I also will be doing a homeschool video podcast for the summer. I think homeschooling is a great opportunity for you to be in control of your child’s education😊
Angela, I really appreciate your transparency. We homeschooled for a year and a half, then another year and a half between Christian school, and public school. And now getting ready to go back to online Christian homeschooling! My husband and I believe my daughter needs to homeschool due to her less-than-perfect focus. Our biggest problem is an extremely limited social network!! My daughter is a single child of older parents, we live in an area where everyone is extremely booked up and busy with careers, and kids are in school long hours during the day. There's no family around either! We came to the end of our homeschooling journey first time due to not being able to provide our single child friends to meet and play with. Now this time around I'm deciding to be more flexible with schooling hours at home and become diligent in finding Christian communities that we can become a part of with the hope to find friends. Any comments will be helpful and appreciated :)
I know your comment is older but maybe a homeschool co-op and extra curricular activities like gymnastics or something would help her make friends you could arrange some play dates with? My co-op has families of all ages and has social time for parents as well. Hope it’s working out well for you!
Love this! I’ve heard about your course since I started homeschooling and I signed up this morning! Started our third year and I’m still struggling. Thank you for your words of wisdom.
We have enlisted the help of grandad with mat h, myself and my husband both aren't to fantastic at it and was getting so stressed with it. My dad really enjoys it as well. So yeah 100% get the family involved.
Love this! I have been reading aloud the entire 8 years I have been homeschooling and even before that. I have struggled comparing and you are right, it is not productive, it is not good. And YES, choose who you open up to! Very very good video.
This woman is a natural teacher!!! You can tell in every video! Love it!!👏👏👏 Just found your channel. Starting my 4th year homeschool and finding so much value in your videos!! Thank You for sharing your journey!!!
Your words touched my heart and made me feel that I’m not alone. I’m glad I watched this video keep it up May God bless u and ur family with health and happiness. ❤️
Practical life skills is a vital part of any kids education homeschooled or otherwise. Especially if they're in public school actually because there's a lot less time pause for kids to witness those things first hand because they're rarely home! We've included a life skills work book from Thinking Tree play that my daughter is enjoying :) but on the note of life skills, please please please include Internet safety in your child's education. Sooner rather than later if they're on social media.
My kids are 7, 8, and 9 and I am getting ready to pull them from public school and start homeschooling for the first time (my girls have bdays in mid January and want to celebrate their bdays at school before starting homeschooling). Thank you for all your videos. I've watched several. I also plan to teach a christian based cirriculum. I'm nervous but so excited! I also work full time from 5am - 130pm so we will be doing school after I get off work. Looking forward to the bonding and learning together!
Just such a freaking good video. You instill so much hope in my novice homeschooling heart. The Teddy Roosevelt quote "comparison is the thief of joy" is one of my mantras--that's what this video reminds me of. Thank you!
Such good, solid tips! Sadly, I struggle to read aloud. I have trigeminal neuralgia and moving my mouth that much at a constant pace can trigger a very painful flare up. But I want to promote the love of reading with our youngest, our third grader. So I find chapter books and audio books for him to follow along in while being read to. It seems to be a big win for us right now.
I am the same. I can't read out loud due to voice loss. My only issue with audio books is that I can't edit them when there is something we don't agree with or is too heavy for the little ones. So for now...my husband reads to each child at bedtime. A chapter each for the 6 and up crew and picture books for the littles.

Would be wonderful to know more about your Mother !

What would you recommend for one who is in 8th grade and not sure?
Wow congrats and thanks for sharing!
Congratulations!!! That's amazing! How did you workout the transcript process?
Oh wow🥺

Maybe it also helps to remember what a priviledge it is to be able to choose homeschooling. Where I live, homeschooling is not allowed so we try to complement at least on a small scale at home. You have the chance to accompany your children in such a great way!
@@jasminm8784where do you live?
I am a mom of 14 and homeschooling for 14 years. Awesome video! Spot on!
thank you for this...I have 5 children and have been homeschooling off and on since my oldest was 4 (now 11). We just had a "lovely" pediatric appointment which resulted in them pressuring my children to go to public school and in me being asked to find a sitter next time so that the doctor could focus better. The doc also bragged about how successful her children are thanks to public school. 🙄 This video was very necessary for me.
I am so sorry! You may need to find a new pediatrician. You know what is best for your kids because you know and love them best. Stay confident!
@@amandalynch9567 thank you ❤️
Crummy staff
Find yourself and your children another practice where they appreciate you!
That doctor is either blind to her "precious" public school indoctrinations or rolls with them!
You my dear are doing it right-do not send them off to public school if you can do it!
@@lulu-qw8xy 🥺🥺❤️ Thank you for your kind and encouraging words
Thank you so so much for this video. I have been semi- home schooling My son ever since he was 15months old. His now in kindergarten and is way too advanced and been scoring way above average when it comes to reading and math. I’m pulling him out of the school district to full time homeschooling him. Hats off to all the homeschoolers!! 😊❤
Anyone else researching about homeschooling to protect your kids from the grooming that’s happening in schools now?
Absolutely
Yep
Yep!
She's 18 months and I'm doing my research. There is WAY more going on in public schools than parents are hearing about.
1. Be flexible
2. Don't Compare
3. Celebrate small wins - both parents and kids need it
4. Reignite your own love for learning
5. Read, read, read (aloud)
6. Know the right (and wrong) people to take advice from
7. Have regular checkins and evaluations.
8. Make it a family affair. Take things outside too. Its also okay to outsource
9. Take care of yourself, take care of momma.
Thanks! ^^
Omg sis you’re so right about the comparisons! It can be such a paralyzing thief of joy! Great tips!
Even professional teachers have days when they wonder why they ever thought they could teach and/or what planet the kids came from.
Very well said
Thank YOU for this video!! ❤❤ you have a beautiful family! God bless you 🎉🎉
I wish there was help for moms with chronic illness and homeschooling.
Thank you so much for this video
Reading! Yes. So true!! I still read to my high schoolers...they seem to really enjoy it. We learn so much...just by reading!
This was so helpful and I needed to hear some of this as a new homeschool parent! Thankyou!!
No nonsense real talk right here! It is appreciated.
Thank you for your input! I am gearing up to homeschool next year and it is intimidating. I stumbled across this video and I needed to hear what you had to say.
This year I had 3 read alouds going at all times and finished 30 long chapter books this school year!!
Xx
Third year, still feeling like a newbie homeschooling family, but this video was amazingly practical and helpful. God bless!
@@mitzifox4601 thank you so much! ❤️
I felt the same way last year. I even reserved her spot on school for next year in case. When school started I withdrew her. At the end it was the best and right choice for our family.
There's definitely a settling in period and all of us go through a struggle before finding our groove. Be gentle with yourself and take it one day at a time. ❤️
Go for it! This is the end of my 2nd year and I wish I had done it sooner!
This video changed my day
Thank you for making this. I am a mom who is teaching 4 young kids and feel overwhelmed a lot of the time. I appreciate this video and is helping me recenter/focus and look at things a bit differently. So....thank you Angie!
Excellent presentation. You are an exceptional public speaker.
Wow thank you for the guidance 🙏
Bring on the Homeschool content my lady! I am just finishing out our first year and my has it been a learning experience….for mostly me 🤣lol
I actually like the structure of a more strict schedule (I have mild autism) and sitting at the desk, more traditional methods.
That helpful! Love your energy! Again ❤ Thank you so much.
I just got the part where you said, "Aside from cleaning..." and had to stop and comment! That made me laugh out loud!! So funny, and SO true!!!🤣🧽🚫🤣
Was about to do the same and saw your comment lol. Yes!
Excellent video, thanks
The discipline and habit forming routines also made me really great out in the real world.
Its crazy. I can tell which haircut is better on you. Both this and previous are amazing! U are so beautiful :*
This was SO SO SO SO good!!! And VERY much needed 😘
THANK YOU FOR THIS I REALLY NEEDED IT!!!
SUPER HELPFUL ❤. Thanks for the advice!!
❤ I really love you. I needed this video today. Thank you.
Great video! I’m on my third year of homeschooling and always looking to learn more. BTW you are so beautiful! 😍
Such great tips Angela! Especially not comparing...comparing yourself to others OR comparing one kid to another. ✨Raye
Love you.❤ Thanks dor your energy! You do bringing light for. Alot tired moms ! ❤
I absolutely love everything you have said in this video ❤
Wise advices! You are a perfect homeschool teacher ⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻
I do not homeschool and don't intend to but i love hearing about it. Way to go mama❤️
Thank you! This is what I needed to hear. I have been feeling overwhelmed and defeated. However, I know my heart is in homeschooling. 🥰
You got this!
Oh thank you so much. I’m going into my 4th year homeschooling and I constantly worry about if I’m doing it right.
We have enlisted the help of grandad with mat h, myself and my husband both aren't to fantastic at it and was getting so stressed with it. My dad really enjoys it as well. So yeah 100% get the family involved.
This was so blunt! I appreciate that. Loved this video.
Oh theses were such great advices!! Stay blessed sister.
THIS THIS right here is actually HELPFUL!
Just wrapping up my 5th homeschooling year and this is sooooo helpful and convicting! Ty so much! ❤️
You have encouraged me so much on my homeschooling journey. I loved your class too. This video was very time,y as I have been feeling super burnt out.
My kids are just out of college and I didn’t homeschool…but still watched😜🤣🤭
I’ve been watching your channel for a few years now. This was hands down my favorite video. Spot flipping on and I needed to hear it.
Yes and amen! What fabulous advice! I have been home schooling for years and couldn’t agree more! 👍❤️✅
I enjoyed your video very much! Being a homeschool mum for the last 4 years I knew all of that, but I really needed to hear it again!
Thank you for this video 💕
I reminded my husband it’s called homeschool, not mom school. It takes a team!
I am a grandmother but love watching all of your videos.
Just such a freaking good video. You instill so much hope in my novice homeschooling heart. The Teddy Roosevelt quote "comparison is the thief of joy" is one of my mantras--that's what this video reminds me of. Thank you!
I just simply love you! You’re very helpful and encouraging! Thank you for your insight and experience!!
Audiobooks have been key for my kids' education!! As a bonus they understand English accents very well :)
I am the same. I can't read out loud due to voice loss. My only issue with audio books is that I can't edit them when there is something we don't agree with or is too heavy for the little ones. So for now...my husband reads to each child at bedtime. A chapter each for the 6 and up crew and picture books for the littles.
