Thank you for spreading knowledge. As old A rider there are alot of things over the years I've learned that have become second nature and you don't even realize your doing it. Now my son is riding alot I'm always working with him and you videos are a great tool for different approaches to help him grasp the concept of what he is trying to achieve. Thanks again

Ryno, you've been saying similar for years. I remember watching you at Glen Helen over 10 years ago. You were coming off Mt. Saint Helens when it had a tight 180 at the top. You can clearly see you pushing your head way over to the side, driving your head and shoulder down the hill. It was so deliberate me and the boys thought you were injured or something then we realized it was technique.

I used to do that back in the 70's. I learned it by just watching fast riders. And when I did it I probably looked cool but it just felt right and so much faster.

Such a simple thing but it does make all the difference in the world. I tried it on my mountain bike and could feel the difference even on that bike.

No one ever talks about counter steering a dirt bike... I went to super bike school which teaches you how to turn a street bike which is exactly the same as a dirt bike only difference is the surface, but one ever talks about counter steering to initiate the turn at all when it comes to dirt bikes... It’s crazy to me ..

Love the videos. I'm not sure I understand this one. How do you initiate with your shoulder? Outside elbow/shoulder? When does this happen?

My oldest son and I watched that DVD a ton of times. Ryans teaching technique is laid back and easy to understand.

The set up** is what some call it. Like in skating or surfing your setting up for the next maneuver.

So initiate with outside shoulder and elbow up? Body in the plane of the bike?

Ryno what are your thoughts on Jeff walkers corner technique last season he finally made it the top 20 but I feel like he’s missing some necessary technique need to to be in the top 15

This sounds like it only applies to ruts. I would think off camber/ flat turns you’d want to turn your bike in, but not your body to be stable while the rear wheel is actively slipping around the turn.
