Cheapest Houses For Sale In Co Durham 2024 | Tony Blair’s Old House!

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 8 ส.ค. 2024
- I looked for the cheapest houses in County Durham England and found some starting at £5000 let’s have a look and also we visited Deaf Hill Trimdon where Tony Blair once lived when leading the Labour Party to victory in the general elections #explore #abandoned #property #northeast #housesforsale #buildings #wondering
I did put a bid in last year on a property with a well known north east estate agent that sold through auctions and also traditional market sales. I had to read the legal pack. there is lots of hidden costs I had to take into account before bidding including the £6500 auction commission also the cost of the sellers legal fees and more. the total hidden costs come close to £10000. so put in a lower bid that was unsuccessful. later the seller took the house off the market for while then put it back up for sale through a normal traditional sale. this time I put a offer in with the estate agent first and second offer refused third accepted. the starting price at auction is just to get people interested. anyone bidding must read the legal pack and understand all the hidden costs. buyer beware some people have been caught out.
That’s shocking mate cheers for that
Avoid the " modern method of auctions". 💀
@@nicotoscani1707 having dealt with property auctions on a few occasions normally on this low starting price you could multiply by 5/10 or even 20 times the starting auction price depending on the area. not forgetting the high auction commission fees. your own legal fees and in some cases you also have to pay the sellers legal fees and also the council tax. on signing in the contract you have a legal liability is to pay council tax even on a empty property. if buying a property in need of work you also have got the renovation fees. in many cases it would be easier cheaper and less of a headache to buy a complete property in decent livable condition.
@@Madsoutandabout What JW has said above, about the auction fees, is correct. I used to buy properties and do them up, and have attended many auctions - the fees are a BIG con, and if you don't read the legal pack you are just plain stooopid ‼️ I live in County Durham and the properties on for the lower sums are in very dilapidated areas 😟
Great tour. Thank you Terry and Keno.
Cheers Susan

Overall Crime Rate Of 97.8 Crimes Per 1000 People
A resplendent corner of North East England, the city and county of Durham couples modern living with a pervading sense of history, largely thanks to its towering cathedral and castle at its heart, as well as one of the UK’s oldest universities.
However, the region’s soaring crime rate of 97.8 crimes per 1000 residents is a clear cause for concern, especially as it’s 4 points higher than the national average, and has seen an 8% increase over last year’s statistics.
Violent crime (24,706 incidents) is Durham’s most pressing issue, but there’s also substantial figures across theft (14,675 incidents) and criminal damage (9476 incidents) that make Durham one of the most dangerous areas across England and Wales.
Thanks for the info mate I never knew that cheers
Looking forward to stealth camp nice weather you might not get flued up👍
Yeah went canny cheers mate
Keano bang on about TMS being called Trimdon Muck Shifter.
haven't heard that said for years, blue and white buses I think.
Blair was good at first but became Bush's poodle in the Iraq war unfortunately.
nice work as ever boys.
Cheers mate thanks
Bit of a contentious issue, but I'm sure when TMS were transporting miners back into work during the strike, people boycotted them contributing to their demise. I can remember as a bairn going to Lido de Jeslo/Italy on a bus/coach called Zebra which was part of the TMS empire (pre-strike of course). Shame for these properties and their destiny, they're built better than some new builds nowadays. Mint content gents 👍❤️Horden 👌
@@ianwilson3862 cheers mate very true
Im sure the White building boarded up, used to be Trimdon Comrades Club
Cheers mate
Terry, big fan here. Can you get to the beach via Foxes Dene? we took the top path, lovely walk but couldn't get down to the beach and the steps further down the way are too awkward.
Sorry where is foxes dene again
@@Madsoutandabout Just outside Easington on the Horden Road. There is a car park near a sub station, takes you under the railway bridge to path to loads of bird tables, you did have a walk down there a while back with your good lady?
@@MrNibnob2 yeah only way down is them steps round that corner or possible via Horden viaduct to beach if tide is out but not sure
@@Madsoutandabout Thanks fella, big hello to you and Keano, doing the jockey. Keep up the great vids.
