    I have three Sinn watches, one of them is the copper 356, and I love them all. My daily wearer is a 656 pilot. I purchased them during the early 20's so none of them have the see-through back. The only regret I have is that I didn't more of them. At that time, they weren't all that well known here in the US and if they needed service you would have to send them back to Germany. I'm glad to see Sinn gaining more recognition.

      @ClickSpringReview  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I first came across them in the late 90s but wasn't till 2009 that I got myself one, The 656 being it doesn't have AR tec you could let anyone service Sir as its a Top Grade ETA 2824-2 movement, so any watchmaker worth there salt can do that one for you. Its the models with the AR tec or oil filler have to go to Sinn 👍🏻

    Sinn don’t mess around. Their watches are really great. My 556ib is a dream to wear. This is very nice but probably a little thick for me. I’d rather 15 spread across a wider case.
    Dial is off the scale. Superb
    Many thanks

    I own a Sinn 356 and I don’t find it too small. Like you said, the dial is quite larger and it adds presence. The thickness is not an issue as this piece is not slab-sided. The caseback protrudes, but it tucks into the soft tissue between the bones of your wrist. It wears like a 13.5mm thick watch.

    6.5 ish wrist here. I love it! It amazes me that Sinn has a 38.5mm chronograph yet it is so difficult to find sub 40, 3 handers. A boot concerned about the height though.

    Hi Barry, I'm taking you up on your challenge of finding a lower price chronograph with water resistance: well, here it is... Guinand Koenigsblau, Serie 155 and Nordmeer. The entire Guinand range is aggressively priced actually, and, like Sinn, feature Top grade movements. The company is very accessible, answering queries promptly and without any sales pitch. The Koenigsblau is the closest to this Sinn though. 😊

  • @robertlock6041
    @robertlock6041 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Barry, I'd wear that! It has a sense of luxury about it which I really like. While I'm not over keen on the thickness, I absolutely do take your point about the price, and I can wear a Tudor GMT without problems so I'd have no issues with it. Other watches at different price points also have obesity challenges, but one could avoid this by buying a quartz piece.
    Thanks for this Barry, this has been a real treat. Cheers, Bob 🍻

    Nice review. These are fantastic watches and a great size (I wear both bigger and smaller watches, but 38.5 is just pure Goldilocks). Sinn's finishing on the bracelet, case and the stunning face is really very good, far above the pay-grade. Certainly nowt wrong with a 7750 - a bit spinny, but that's character! As you say most auto chronos are about 15mm, it's no problem - the watch wears really well. But the copper... wow! I've not seem many watches under £20k with a dial that good! We're talking Breguet, Parmigiani...

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  ปีที่แล้ว

      I fully agree, I love to feel the rotor spin every so often and its a solid work horse of a movement and as you say 38.5mm is pretty well spot on and the dial well just look at it , I'd love to have this one in my collection

  • @stanleynadulek4195
    @stanleynadulek4195 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Barry this is the watch I'm thinking about getting next. My only concern is that it's a 38.5 mm. I agree that because it's all dial and the thickness it may appear a little larger than it's actual size. I have the 358 which is my sweet spot. I know it's going to wear a little smaller than my 358. I would definitely choose this style and this is the next one on my radar great review!

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Stanley I do also like the 358 but feel the 356 is a more comfortable model to wear on my wrist , The only problem I see is they are very similar and you may find yourself liking one more than the other and at that point one has to go so I'd maybe stick with the 358 and get something different like a 144

    This is a nice watch. A friend owns one & he has had it for about 15 years. Can i find an Automatic Chronograph under $5K? EASY! My lovely Omega Speedmaster Automatic " Reduced". Mine is the later iteration, the Model 35395000, with the Boxed Sapphire, & rated down to 100 M. At 12mm thick, it is The World's Thinnest Automatic Chronograph. I paid $3.5K for it in 2013. It is now Discontinued. I am familiar with that ETA 7750 " Tracteur" movement. Though quite accurate, it is noisy & i don't Dig on The " Wobble" a whole bunch. Also, that Sellita is not "Top" Chronometer Grade & the screws are chemically blued.
    The movement in mine is "Modular", incorporating an ETA 2890 Base, with DUBOIS-DEPRAZ, Chrono Module, PiggyBacked on top, so hence not, what some Puristes would call An Integrated Chronograph Movement. But mine has served me well & is very reliable, gaining a half a second per day. AND ..... it IS An Omega Speedmaster. Enough Said???

    Two things:
    The movement is a copy of the ETA7750 and the rotor is made to only wind the movement one way. Should’ve been designed to wind both ways. That’s why the rotor spins around like a lunatic one way around, because of the missing reversing wheel on the “automatic module” mounted onto the movement.
    The screws isn’t actually blued, they’re painted. If you have seen an actual blued screw before, it’s clear to point out the difference.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  ปีที่แล้ว +2
