A few tips while building this 1. The wheels might take several tries to get right and make building the cart hard 2. The game can get a little buggy so make sure that the build is supported on each end or else you might have to rebuild the whole track 3. When merging the carts just push them into each other to avoid breaking 4. The cart tends to go pretty slow with just 2 thrusters on each end 5. If you go over your compounds you can build train stations along the way to make it more efficient 6. If you ever fall off swing your weapon or axe before hitting the ground to cancel some fall damage
Completely unrelated to the video but I've found out that the tundra villagers have sooo much health compared to the grassland ones. My grassland villagers get 1 shot by the ice skeletons but the tundra villagers can tank so many hits, they can take 5x hits from normal brutes before they die too.
If your solo you gotta get the better ones. They draw aggro for you. I wish the weapons would last longer tho that's the worst part. You have to keep them equipped.
It’s a great build, but I’ve been experimenting with giant flying machines that carry large amounts of goods. The only problem is the lever/thruster system. I eventually decided to use weight to steer it, but it would be more efficient with different levers working for different thrusters. If you could make a large scale transport vehicle it’d be appreciated🤘🏻
It can carry up to 10 of any chest and u can put crafting tables and stuff like that and a bed u gotta build huge landing platforms so u can land it safely thou

The third floor (Rustic thin floor 3) is just as thin, just longer for the same amount of wood, so a better option, I'd say. It is a bit of a mind trick that the longer beams are shown smaller (more zoomed out) to fit in the area, so they look thinner, but the are same width, just longer. I love the machine, will be making this when I'm more end game. (maybe pin this comment or add a card to the clip, so everybody can use the better wood option.) ps. there are also some stone options, if people are low on wood but rich in granite... GG! glhf

You say in the title Survival, but all done in creative. Doing this in survival is a lot more difficult and imo missing in this guide. A great idea I wish it was just shown in more detail in survival.

Thing will break very soon sadly. Monorail systems have proven to be janky af on this. The wheels will lightly dmg rail over time. After 2 or 3 trips the rail will fail and contraption will fall and be destroyed. Looks nice and works for video but lets be honest, that probably broke soon after rec of not while making and had to rebuild 🪦
@@Eileen_921 Actually there might ba a small fix. Try placing 1 red ballon on each end so 2 total. It won't lift you but apparently it will reduce the weight and strain on the rail. Just something I read on reddit.
if you put a small weel on top of the thin floor it works beter for breaks and you dont have to use extra material and also does not ram on top of it it just stops

I think there is a limit on how far you can go, at a certain point i could build and it would use the wood in my inv but nothing would actually place, maybe borders that load/ unload when you pass through them since its such a big map
I've done some experiments and found out when you get to the end point just start a new rail right after it. Complete your 2nd rail then come back later and you can connect it

Let's just hope they end up fixing these kind of weird af bugs so then we can end up building anything.
This isn't survival, take it off the title. You're literally building it in creative where you can easily hover under the platforms and build everything easily.
You just attach a platform the the stairs to go underneath, he's not clickbaiting you, probably just assumed people would use minimal brain cells to figure it out

And no you couldn’t just add stairs to the other side of the stairs that were built initially going up at the starting point. The point of the comment which you clearly missed was to convey how time consuming it would be in survival mode while he did it in seconds in the video.
yup my village square had been disappeared twice so I went in replays and during the night, the skeletons had by accidentally destroyed it by trying to fight my npc's but since npc's are normally near the village square, they hit it instead! So I just place fences!!@@gillriet773
For some reason, I can't keep mine from toppling over. I did an end to end test w/o anything in the two carts and it worked fineish, but when i started putting stuff in chests, I ran down to get more during a storm and cam up and both were on their sides and hit a wrong button causing one of them to fall which had all my desert gems and ore in it which you'll lose if your cart is destroyed.
He's clearly in sandbox mode indicated by the fly option on his menu on the right. This transportation build would prove to be harder in legit survival mode WITHOUT flying, as well as limited material
Its not that expensive bro, in any case just build a flying dinamic fundation put some balloons and thrusters and ur good to go, dont fly too high so u can safely land it by popping the balloons or adding weight

Burty's air ship is probably the best vehicle ive seen. Its cheap, has space for chest, and can fly in any direction not tethered by a rail, and it just strait up looks cool
Did the update from today "fix" the ability to create these? connecting the two sides of the railcar ends up destroying all the thrusters, wheels, and the activation switch on one side
These machines are awesome but in survival they break alot and are super buggy they need to fix it to where u can assign switches to specific rockets and fix how you lag off or sometimes into your builds

I was thinking the same thing... it makes no sense to use the shorter ones as long as the cost is the same. It will only take longer to build...
this is good if it actually works because sometimes the tires and dynamic platform on top glitch either by breaking or phasing through the rail.

Happened in my world too. I think they have set a rendered building point ig thats y we cant continue from that point

I was thinking when you get close to the end point you could make a village as a transport train station with 2 separate rails joining at a split

I've done some experiments and found out when you get to the end point just start a new rail right after it. Complete your 2nd rail then come back later and you can connect it

Supposedly thrusters burn out after a few seconds, so for now we have to keep pressing the levers. Hopefully it gets a change in the future

Built exactly to the t got about a quarter of the way to the desert on the tram and the wheels broke leaving it hanging sideways on the beam

That happened to me too, I was so confused? I put the wheels back on one side I hope they just dont get destroyed.

I wonder if it's possible to make a diagonal gondola using a railing as the track.
My take is that you can make a railing, break it ends so it's loose, somehow make it diagonal to the grid

Yes anything that moves and is not attached will break if used enough
