Going down is not the problem, especially if you have a glider. Id rather reverse this with thurster on the bottom and two small balloons so it gently floats back down
@SirBobBotsalot I built it the way he did in the video but put 4 wooden posts on each bottom corner, 4 boosters along the bottom and two small balloons on top. Worked great going up and down the track but when I got to the top the elevator flew out and away. I put wood to secure it from flying away but I guess it glitches out?

Works Better if It stays down It almost like my project, but mine stays down U have tu put only 4 balloon e 1 thruster downside the platform. Use the thruster to go up and Ur glider to go down Balloons Will control the fall of platform
I wonder if itd be possible to make an elevator that starts at the bottom. Maybe add enough balloons to a platform so that it would get lifted with the help of thrusters and not by the balloons by thekself
I put the rustic beams coming in towards the center of the square of each stud, the put 4 small thrusters on the beams to lift up. And only 4 small balloons on each corner. That way it needs help going up and gently comes down for later use.
@@kyle4975 I think having it at the bottom is more logical for most, but I see both ways being useful. Just depends on your preference’s/ where you’re putting it ig

Maybe when it is up you can make it go also on the left on som kinda platform to wait. And when you need to go down, have third thruster to let it slide to the lift shaft? So basically first thruster to go up, second to go left, third to go back right to lift shaft.
I would recommend to build the elevator another way cause it wont get down u need to find out another Design then when you have enough space place another wood foundation on top then 4 baloons and some thrusters like 2 or if it wont go up 4 i recommend to anyone if u wanna know what i mean go search Lego fortnite hylights best build and funny clips the picture is a flying pirate ship by a dude
the idea is good, but the thing about a elevator that are always in the top of the building looks sus... maybe you need two elevator, one that is always on top and other that is always in bottom

Great design! You ahould have mentioned how to make the elevator stay down though, I just have a block off to the side for a small amount of height, then when Im all the way down I place a long skinny floor on that and it blocks the elevator from going back up. Not pretty but it works

i hope they update their tools. theyre currently awful ngl my toys keep getting destroyed and i dont get my resources back. and the tires dont stay in the track :(
@@Max_Yer0 yeah I put thruster on the bottom instead and put heavy wheels on the bottom as well to make it heavy so it goes back down by itself and the thruster pushes it to the top instead
I've had the same problem for a couple of weeks! But it's a easy fix! Just simply place a small or large car jack ( Toys, Vehicle ) then add your base there or what I recomend is that you add foundation blocks (I think it's called that) (Basically in the house icon then the first category) onto the jack, you can use it to make your own flat area! But if you want instead of adding blocks you could directly add the car base on top of the jack and build on the flat area you've just made!🎉🎉

yeah this is possible and way more versatile

You should have made thrusters to go up and one balloon to go slowly down.
Either way you’ll be stuck at one end wether it’s on the ground or wherever you up on

U can get down from any high using the glider.. um can’t say the same about going up
Pretty sure the elevator would just get stuck at the top as soon as the server resets

The same thinking as me what is the use of an elevator if you need to climb in order to use it
I made one that stays on the ground and goes up, I use it in my survival world to get to the top of my watchtower where I paraglide off to get down.

I made my elevator super high so I put heavy thrusters. I struggled to balanced them a bit but once I did it worked great.
