Three years ago, I watched this little movie and it gave me hope for the future. Now, it's February 2022 and the world is worse. I came back and watched it again, and was uplifted. With 9 out of 10 Sci-Fi shorts being apocalyptic nightmares or dystonian futures with horrible endings for humans or humanity, It is so nice to see a happy ending and even a moral of compassion and happiness. Jolly good show, I'd say!

That was a wonderful little spot of sunshine. Now get to work... You need to be making feature length movies. Nobody in Hollywood seems to remember how to do that well these days.
This film had me connect with the characters in 25 minutes and really feel; there are dozens of multi-million dollar Hollywood productions that can't do that in 90 minutes or even two hours. You're film is really well made and is one of the only films about A.I. that I've seen that makes me believe the A.I. is more human than artificial. Superb!
After watching this a 2nd time, I now remember why I kept it in one of my Watch Later Playlists. Such a great display of emotion from an emotionless voice. Would love to see a part 2 to this and have it keep it's feeling of connection, hope and need to help one another with no thoughts of getting anything more then a friend this film has. WARNING SPOILER ALERT AHEAD!!!!!!! First I felt bad for the main actress from the obviously bad relationship she was in. Then she finds a new and different friend that she teaches and finally helps in getting his freedom back from the warehouse he was kept in, by finding the scientist that built him. As many other comments point out. It's really nice to see a Short Sci Fi film (Or many other films of a different genre) that doesn't depend on CGI, Death from destruction, chases, shootouts, etc... Just pure wants of companionship and the desire to help one another. Wouldn't it be nice if the whole world was this way. Everyone concentrating on making things better for everyone, not building evermore destructive and easier ways to kill each other and our planet and make some $$$$$ doing so.. That's my wish for us all. Thanks for the Upload!! ;)

Interesting to see a film with the maternal instincts taking over. Rather than concentrate of the technical facets, you have had your actors explore nurturing of a machine. But it's just science fiction. I still liked it.
Great short sci-fi film! Good to see positive human/robot interaction for a change where humans are not all nasty and selfish and robots aren't all out to wipe us from the face of the earth for our own good! Leila Kotori = talented and beautiful actress, could watch & listen to her talk all day!
Excellent short film!! Some short films I have viewed were, at best, more like B-Rates in acting and plots. However, this short film "Human" was equal to an A-Rate as far as I am concerned. I would really watch this movie if were a full length. The actors and actresses did an amazing job in their roles! Well done!!
I really liked this short alot, My dad would have really loved this he passed away 12 years ago he was an automotive machinist but had been reading syfy since he was a child.. so this short touched my heart in a very special way.. thank you Patrick thank you for this he loved the concept of AI.
This film was a parable on acceptance, of differences, of limitations, and of possibilities. Hope, in light of all that may derail us, is the central theme of our lives. It is that which drives to be more than the obvious. Two women had hope, sometimes dimmed by circumstance, but never defeated. Together they were able to give humanity to a dream. I really liked this film. I don't generally comment on them. This one is a refreshing change from the dystopian drivel we see far too much of.
You know that's what. I hope for in the future that man and robots can work together for peace and prosperity and not use each other or kill each other that's is my true dream.and some day make this old world a better place to live in. Love the movie very cool.
Intelligent SciFi with heart. Bravo Patrick. I look forward to watching more :) (and a spoiler for anyone reading this having not yet watched, the World survives, we don't live i space and nobody has to die to tell a real story.)
I’m just now stumbling across these indie short films on TH-cam. This one a good one...just finished The Flying Man as well... another good indie sci-fi. But unlike this one, that one left me hanging.. the story never tied up in the end. This one could continue on in sequels, but it doesn’t have to. Keep up the good work Patrick...
I love seeing humanoid machine because it's kinda a mystery like you may have some ideas what's it thinking but in the same time you got no idea what's it truly thinking. Same feeling I get from silence faceless characters like one wears a mask or helmet and just doing stuff, like is he or she looking for something, making something, what is it, why is it here?
During the initial exposition, I wish the writers explained why the young lady is exploring the abandoned warehouse but, aside from that - really well done!
I see why it won so many awards --- it has a happy ending! There's LOVE and COMPASSION in it! Like so many, I get depressed after too many hours of film, novels, stories .... that are about sadness, and war. Life is NOT all about those ugly things, and with AI to help us, surely Life will soon be so much more peaceful. Actually, thanks to computers in general, humanity actually IS already better off -- 'the media' doesn't remind us at all though. They don't make a dime off happiness, but megabucks off unhappiness! It's lovely seeing HAPPINESS .... and yes, HOPE! Hollywood, WAKE UP! People are SAD and ANGRY but we're actually doing better than we EVER have before in the history of humanity! Scientific FACTS, folks! :-) Easy to prove, too! And, with AI, for SURE to be even better in the next 15 to 50 years!! I hope I am alive long enough to maybe ... live an extra 50 years! :-) AI could do it!
Love it, really great and I watch a lot of these sci-fi shorts and can be pretty stingy with praise. But this is pretty dang good. Keep working I'm excited about what you might bring in the future.

lots of all these sci fi short films are underated, much better than those Hollywood produce film which cost millions $$. Nice film
