I have to say: To see that around the globe people still discover this little movie 7 years after completing it and that most have a good time watching it is just amazing for us. Thanks everyone! Fame and fortune to all ! :)
2 years after completing 850 Meters, the Orange knight will rise "his mandolin" again! And this time in the spin-off TV series called My knight and Me. The show got a green light, and 52 episodes of 12 minutes of more epic 'bling bling' are on the way :) Very exciting times :)
good time? I do sir have a great time! awesome animation. make me laugh all the time! Thank you for made this! by the way i made a subtitle in portuguese Brazil and i was thinking if you let me reupload with the subtitle or i could send it for you guys.
Joeri Christiaen The animation is not only funny. It makes a ton of sense. The dragons being tremendously overpowered, compared to humans, what else should they do, if not have fun with those bysantine plots of theirs?
The jerky animation and hyperactive humor turned me off at first, but as a whole, this was really entertaining and clever. Absolutely loved the ending.
This was posted in 2013, now in 2018 the people still loving it. The project was great, amazing modeling and animation, awesome sound design .. I hope someday do something like that.
At times like this, we're so happy we can make people smile with this (now getting slightly old) short of ours. We wish you all the best - stay safe and healthy!
Found this ages ago and always love to come back! I love that it became a show, just wish it had stayed longer. But all the love for this. Thank you for this wonderful treasure.
I'd scream too if I saw a tele tubby coming through the fog. "The escalator on your left, your other left." "coming soon to a castle near you." The closing theme, perfect. All in all, inspired lunacy. To all the naysayers, lighten up, just once allow yourself to have some fun, it's ok.
Loved it. Wasnt the best rendering in some scenes, but story was hilarious. Loved the tree dragon at the end. Love the sense of humor, the camera angles and slow motion, and great characters.
I remember seeing this back in the day and hearing it was going to be a show. To bad the show didn't turn out so well, because I loved seeing this short.
When I found this on TH-cam, years ago, I had written it off way too fast. After the series 'My Knight and Me' appeared on Cartoon Network, I immediately recognized Henri of Orange as the knight from 850 meters, so I decided to finish this video. It was genuinely fun and enjoyable, and I feel like I missed out on an experience because of my own premature judgement. Well done, and I feel like such a fool.
I love the show! My son had his first birthday at the end of December, and for some reason being a new father and watching this show gives me a very good feeling.
You've heard of Toss The Turtle, Homerun In Berzerk Land, Hedgehog Launch and Learn To Fly. Well get ready for the latest launch game, Knight Fling - Can you beat 850 metres? On a side note, was not expecting a teletubby of all things. Same with the ending but the teletubby really came from nowhere and was so funny as a result.
To everybody who just now got recommended this video, you had to be watching a lot of indie animations several years ago to find it. This is my second time watching btw. Still love it.
This is so extremely well done, and a really funny concept. The voice acting is on point, and the animation style really accentuates the wacky and fun premise. All I can say is bravo, I really enjoyed it!
Enjoyed every second. The slow mos, the visual jokes, the repetition (Fame and Fortune, yeah!) and highly exaggerated expressions. A character you can get behind despite his challenges and a great twist. Not surprised it was picked up for a series (which I haven’t seen). Strong storytelling :-)
850 Meters, is awesome!!! The artists have managed to hit the right nerve when it comes to really giving pleasure to us animation lovers, most hilarious piece here, And believe me, I've seen lots,in this one you have a great story, the actual facial expression is magnificent on this guy, continously entertaining, never a dull moment,Thank you.
When somebody gets driven by his illusion, sad ends are most likely to happen. Many viewers will hate the scenario which opposes their expectations of a “Spectacular Handsome Hero” that rescues a “Beautiful Princess” and a romantic moment happens at the film end. But in my opinion this film gives a realistic and “heavy” advice. The animation work is perfect.
I think the beauty about art is that everyone can have his own interpretation of it. You see an advice, while my intention was just to have fun with knights and dragons :)
this was incredible! You managed to make something that was consistently entertaining and original that lasted for a whole 15 minutes! And best of all it came together in the end perfectly. You obviously spent all your time perfecting the story and the humor and that's what really matters, I prefer that any day to a photo-realistic animation with a shitty story. 10/10, I would even re-watch which is something I can't say for any other 15 minute short film I've seen so far (and I've binge watched a lot of them lol).
when I saw this a year ago I was like, "this has to be made into a new show. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon need to wake up". I guess Nick is still sleeping
This has GOT the be the FUNNIEST thing I have seen in a long, time. I know this was made a few years ago, but I am surprised I didn't see or hear about this sooner! Fantastic work!
+Blaine Thornhill aww man, this comment was such a spoiler. I decided to wander through the comments halfway through and read this and was like "damn."

+Joeri Christiaen Mate, this is hilarious! LMFO XD Good animation, funny, interesting, surprising parts, accent(!), parody of knights,... Me, didn't like crossover with modern time; cell phone and escalator, but nice incorporated. That's just me. Best luck with spin off! I hardly wait to see it. Maybe one day feature movie? It reminds me of Monty Pythons and the Holy Grail
Hi everyone. If you want to see the knight of this short (and of My knight and Me) trying out for a different role at an audition, and failing miserably at it - I just uploaded a little sketch on this same YT channel ( th-cam.com/video/jcYARf8D35I/w-d-xo.html ). Also, thanks for the years of supporting and commenting on 850 METERS!
thank you joeri for the dedication and the hard you put into this you made my childhood on youtube worth watching this is my favorite short since I was 9 years old.
I'm sad "My Knight and Me" didn't go longer. My son and I watched it when it was on Cartoon Network and loved it. It was well scripted with deeply rich characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. While the kids were smarter than the father, he wasn't portrayed as an idiot, just naive. Choosing wisely is emphasized. And while mistakes happened, they weren't the 'end of the world' but merely ways to learn how to overcome obstacles. It was a great teaching tool for me. It's been a while, but I particularly liked the 'cool dude' dragon who longed and struggled against the 'family business.'
Brilliantly funny and very well done video. Just illustrates perfectly how much we fall for deceptive scams and advertising ruses out in the real world. Best video of the week 🙌
Omg, I love distance games and this was absolute perfection to the amount of joy I get playing them!!! Bravo to the cast and animators and all those involved in the making of this film. I am absolutely in awe over this. As a gamer this is perfection and a game should be made for this epic tale!

Thanks guys!
Great news! all the very best for your show
where and when can i see it? :)
Joeri Christiaen Good luck, guys! Who's going to release it?
This has got to be 1 of the most detailed and silliest animations I've ever seen
Thank you everyone ! And thanks for helping us sharing the film. The more people can have a laugh with it, the happier we are ! :)
Two questions:
What's the name of the song at the end of the short?
And when will "It!" be finished?
great work I love it
You better make another one!
So nice for us to see the knight is continuing to entertain people !
Fame and Fortune ! ;)
The amount of randomness inside this clip is unbelievable
You know this Knight was split up into Henri of Orange and, what's-his-name, of White from My Knight and Me.
For about 15 minutes I completely forgot about Coronavirus and self-isolation! Thank you!
It makes me very happy to read this! Stay healthy!
zzpza ya seriously it was like my best day ever moment.
