Mycket pedagogiskt förklarat! Har övat wheelies på min gixxer 1000 k9 i snart 2 år. Inget fel på kraften i hojen men min teknik har varit sidådär. Den här videon kommer hjälpa! Tack!
thanks, great explanation! i have the 2011 model and are very slowly getting better.. i agree that initially even a lift of maybe up to 5 cm initially feels weird and you first think you're much higher than you really are :) i also stopped trying in first gear as i really can't seem to control it well (sometimes it jumps up too high too quickly, making it difficult to control it)
I wanted to let you know that I watched your channel to learn to wheelie, I also have a Z1000. Started wheelie around 7 months ago and now I can shift gears from 2nd all the way to 4th gear. Thanks for the help
Where do you guys focus your weight? Do you hold on more with your hands or legs? I have the general idea down for the first couple inches, but it feels like I'm not holding myself to the bike right, if you know what i mean?
Got the z1000r 2017 tried it right after I watched the vidoe and outcome was dope Can u just update me if possible how to change gears whilst doing a whelie
very cool and wonderfull tutorial! Thanks a lot. Whenever I will have the chance to sit on a much cheaper motorbike I will start practicing. For now my Z1000 will remain a virgin in this segment^^
SO nice!! I have a SUzuki GSR400 in Japan, and my next Motorcycle i choose Z1000 . I think is impossible do wheelie, and you show to all how to do!! Nice Video!!
Currently ride a z1000! Make sure you get your suspension setup for your weight or it’ll ride weird in the corners!

thank you very much. exactly what i needed. i got same bike and i needed to know the right gear/ right speed / right rpm for both power whelie and clutch trick. i got a better understanding now.
Thanks for the great video tutorial. Just 2 questions. 1. Do you use your brake to bring the bike down or just decelerate? 2. How do you see the road in front of you? I noticed that when you do a high wheelie, all I can see is the speedometer and steering bar. Can you see the road clearly?
Paddan 91 so unless you it's absolutely necessary, you don't use the brake but just decelerate to bring it down, right? To see, you just tilt your head to the side to see the road, correct?
@paddan, this vid helped me out big time! 1 question, do you open up the throttle all the way to get the rpm up and to get the front up, and then let off a bit when its up? Or do you give like half open throttle
Im rly not sure wether I should start to learn wheelies on my z1000r Got it 1 week ago. Getting used to the bike overall. I rly like em wheelies but im afraid to destroy my bike. I accidentally pulled a little wheely in 1st gear. It was cool although super weird
The power of the Z1000 is amazing. It does 2nd gear wheelies like its nothing. And POWER WHEELIES that are not the same. I have a hard time doing 1st gear whelies on the FZ6. Is amazing the power difference.
Oh I'm not saying anything against using the clutch. I just prefer little power wheelies, over massive clutch ones, myself :) A few inches off the ground is enough for me. It's not about how high, or how long I can hold them for, just about that little bit of fun :)
Guys, you have places with machine, where bike is placed and secured and you can practice.. Especially is good to learn how much trottle you have to give and good to learn when you go from 2nd to 3rd gear. Its dangerouse when you drive 150 km/h and need to land 1st wheel down. If you dont hold hard its easy to fall. Practice is everything. Good luck to you all and stay safe.
Hi, I wanted to ask you something. When you press the clutch to pass the changes needed to press until the end of the path or you can press a little like you do?
If i use with 250cc like CBR 250 RR, should i keep use 2nd gear ? cause the power 250cc isn't like 1000cc and how many fingers do use while pressing the clucth ? 2 or 4 fingers ?
Hi. On an h2 sx se with wheelie control, how does it work. Let's say you have it on setting no 2, and just open the throttle, will the bike lift itself up, to a certain angle and drop down again?
How do you know where the Balancepoint is and How far you can go? Im learning wheelies for a couple of months now, and I actually get higher with time. But often I think I reached the highest point but it actually wasn't that high. Do you have any tipps for that?
At 5:10, at your second attempt power wheelie. you are running 80km/h, did you max the throttle to get the front wheel up? im practicing power wheelie, second gear 50km/h but i cant get the front wheel to pop. im to scared to roll the throttle.
hey, i have some question to you, First sorry for my english im from argentina and dont have good level of english. but i know that i can speak that people understand me. okey to the questions; now im for will buy a z1000 2013 with 10.000 kilometers, but my really dreambike is a yamaha r1, but in my country is very spensive, i need to know the best things and the bad things. if you can tellme the most important i will be very happy. Thx and have a nice day!

Great idea telling beginners to learn doing wheelies in 1st gear going slow, the hardest possible way. Try controlling the gas on a 1000 cc bike and you'll know. Most likely the bike will be totaled, plus injuries 👍🏼

Just went out on my new Z1000SX. You don't even need the clutch it's that fun
Matt Bennett Clutch is used for control, not because of lack of power ✌🏼🐸

The more power and less weight, the higher gear. It all depends on your bike. I use 2 fingers but do what makes it easier for you
I'm scared just thinking about doing a wheelie...for me and my bike.
Never attempt if you fear the bike you need confidence there is no room for error! Ride safe man

Yeah great video to bad I dont speak your language
Never use the clutch to wheelie- I only power wheelie or pull and power at the same time, that is horrible to do to your clutch
Michael Kastner Id rather wear my clutch out than compromising extra control. Clutch is cheaper than a crashed bike
