@@Charlie-xu4fw we encountered a few qunari mages tho in da2 and inquisition it’s just that they were bounded with leashes bc of qunari view on it but if they’re tal-vasoth like the inquisitor if it’s your canon they are just like any mage it’s just rare to see one since qunari are rare in the first place

Not all. We have to understand that the average mage is, like any other fighter or rogue, mediocre in their craft, and is liable to mess up. The problem is, when a soldier is bad at their craft, they either die or lose a battle. When a mage is bad, they can unleash all sorts of problems into the population.
The Qun punishes most Saarebas because while they may be powerful, they can't be trusted to not cause chaos. However, if a Saarebas is truly exceptional and shows a powerful will and sense of duty, the Qun is ready to acknowledge them as a valuable asset.
Qun has heavy control over magic because let's be honest, every major disaster in Thedas was caused by someone abusing magic.
Vashoth (born outside the Qun). Mages (Saarebas) not wizards.

Because as far as the games have established, all Qunari mages are bound, with sewn mouths etc.
Take the Saarebas in da2 for example. He has been entirely loyal to the Qun (he was only "freed" because his 'maintainers' were attacked and killed, so he didn't run away but was taken hostage by the Chantry Mother against his will). And he stayed loyal to the end, choosing to kill himself rather than abandon the teachings of the Qun.
So, no, good and obedient Qunari mages aren't treated better, as you for some reason think

I think she’s going to be a romance option the same way Iron Bull is, you *can* get with her but you ruin one of the better companion relationships in the process
Sera and Qydion is meant to be, her being a mage adds some spicy drama to a perfect relationship

To me, I'm a sucker for goat ladies, and its all thanks to female draenei from WoW. They popularized the race's exotic appearances. Draenei, qunaris, and Soraka from LoL.

I'd like to know more about her backstory. From the way she talks and acts, I am almost positive she is Vashoth. Maybe her parents came to Thedas during one of the Qunari invasions, but were killed, leaving her to be found and raised by Humans. I'd be very interested to learn more. Maybe she will even appear in Dreadwolf.

Tassia in the last few episodes was put into the script specifically to help cut to the next scene for comedic effect. "Where are the others?" *cuts to the crew breaking in* "Where's the qunari?" *cuts to qwydion fucking everything up in the throne room*

Classic comedy character - not bad, not amazing, but will work beautifully as a side-character
Her character does exactly what she's supposed to without falling for the old tropes. Like, comic relief side characters are usually idiots; but she's not dumb, she's actually really smart, she's just eccentric and goofy on top of being smart. I really hope she's a companion at some point.

Its refreshing to see this character personality to make her stand out compared to other Qunaris.
Personally the Qunari in game is too rigid and even Iron Bull has a bit of rigidness as he is Ben Hassrath. Seeing her to be completely having fun and more self expressiveness shows that she is also more humanlike and odd one out among her Qunari family and peers.
Pretty sure she won't last a day to even bothered be educated by the ways of the Qun even if being forced to.

Considering how Qunari treat Mages, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say she was Tal-Vashoth since birth. It makes sense she would act pretty different from Qunari who were raised under the Qun
She’s almost certainly a Tal Vashoth like Adaar. Putting aside that shes a mage who, y’know, still has a tongue her personality also doesn’t reflect that of most qunari. I reckon she’s always been vashoth.

Okay, I had no idea this show even existed, but two minutes into this video I fell in love with this character. Two minutes later I looked up the show and where to find it. A minute after that I was watching it on Netflix and just finished the first episode. So thanks for posting this vid 👍👍👍

Havent watched the show yet but im assuming shes Tal'vashoth? (I dont remember how to spell that) she's a mage, so she's supposed to be binded, blinded, tortured and with multiple seals around her body. The fact that this is not the case, should mean that she is a defector of the Qun....But she still calls herself a Qunari even tho she dosent follow the Qun?

Also that one character being named "Miriam" simply cannot be coincidence (for those who dont know... in the Horizon video game series "Miriam" is the name of Elisabet Sobeck's mother and Aloy and Beta's technical grandmother... [discounting the fact that Aloy and beta are clones of Elisabet])

Yes I really appreciate that, it's so much better when it's believable. The swords are maybe a bit thin but realistic. Tassias hammer is a bit large for one hand, but not ridiculous.
